Are you implying that Jimbo is a leg humping Pomeranian?

I have a pomeranian and a chihuahua and neither hump legs...they just bite ankles and fight each other.

He wouldn't be my top choice, and he isn't for the staff, but I wouldn't feel awful about him being a backup plan.
The Katy RB thing is overplayed to me. Projecting players in different systems and at different levels of competition is what scouts and coaches get paid to do, they should be able to take into account the Katy system and still evaluate the RBs at Katy as individuals.
I agree with that. I mean, it's not like Rodney Anderson was some 5 star can't miss. Choklahoma just did a good job of evaluating and used their line to open up lanes for him. We can do the same with improved line play. I personally don't want Glass, but if the staff does, so be it.

I don't see Glass being anywhere as good as Anderson, but he's much better than Porter imo. There's an old post on the shag of me telling people Porter wasn't even the best RB on his own HS team, back when he was a senior at Katy and Glass was a Freshman. It was obvious back then, Porter got the carries because he was the upperclassman.
I remember when people were talking about Glass possibly being a 5 star when he was a frosh on the shag. I have no doubt he's a good RB, but is he good enough for Texas? Admittedly I haven't seen him play, but I just know the Katy RB system has failed most of the time. I know he's gotten a ton of carries, but how good is he? Would he be a take?

Works for me. I'm getting a little tired of 4 yards and a cloud of dust. We need backs that can house it on every carry.
The kid at Rider is named Tre Byrd and he's a sophomore. He also plays for team usa. He's good. But Foster is a freak. If TCU wants him, you know he can ball. What a steal for them. God I hope Herman takes a look at him

His ranking is a joke. He's an animal, and he's fast as shit

I've seen him play many times, and he's well worth a scholly. Good lord he's on another level. We haven't had a kid from this area like that in a looooooooong time. We have a kid at WF Rider who's supposed to be the next big thing, too. He's a junior. I can't remember his name, but he's the 10th best RB in state for next year.

King Dourue(Tascosa) committed to Purdue recently. Who's the Wichita Falls fella?
Daimarqua Foster. He's a stud

Two rb guys that I remember but not by name, guy in panhandle (tascosa?) and Wichita falls. Anything to see there?
Daimarqua Foster is committed to TCU. He's a stud and I hope Herman goes after him. He's legit. He plays for Hirschi

Porter is allegedly not playing so he can redshirt and transfer. He gone.
I had such high hopes for Carter. It's a shame, but he needs to tranfer.
That makes sense on Porter. Like you, I had high hopes for Carter, too. God damn his shitty attitude and fumbles. He's a really good back, but damn. Maybe Tom and Drayton can work with him and convince him to stay (doubtful, I know). At least it opens up room for recruits to see playing time. What's up with Danny Young? Hadn't seen much of him lately. Another transfer casualty?

If we keep winning it won't matter. Lsu will get fucked by Bama, and Michigan will get a bukkake from Ohio State. ND looks up and down, and I can see a loss to USC. Hell, they barely escaped Pitt while healthy. At least we have an excuse that our starter went down and we still won. We control our own destiny.

He seems to be somewhere in between Porter and Anderson. We could potentially lose several running backs, so we probably need useful bodies. He wouldn't get me very excited.
Same. Maybe he'll surprise us, but I'm not holding out hope. I'm hoping for Anderson, but I think he'll just be serviceable. Who knows, though. I'm excited about Brown. He looks legit. I bet we lose Carter (no clue what his deal is, other than fumbles and a shit attitude), but I can't see Porter transferring. Who else do you see us losing?

Seems like the most likely scenario is Brown and Glass. Glass would be pretty meh to me, but whatever, I've learned to trust this staff's evaluations
I'm with you. It's why I didn't mention Glass. He seems like another Katy player who has a great line, but fails to translate that to the next level (sans Rodney Anderson)

Cain keeps moving the goal posts for everybody except LSU. He's going to LSU.
Damn. Well hopefully we get one of Sanders or just keep Derrian Brown. He looks like a solid back.

Herb Hand is without question the best hire Herman has made. The guy will be bringing recruits we haven't seen since early Mack, but actually be able to get the most out of them.
