It starts on Sunday, when Jimbo doesn't look at any game film and doesn't start developing a gameplan. Then it continues on Monday when he doesn't meet with any coaches or players. It continues right on through the week when he doesn't attend any practices, evaluate any players, or provide any instruction. It culminates on Friday when he doesn't set the two-deep. It's a whole seven days of inaction, each of which earns $20,000.
And that's just during the season. In the offseason, he spends every day not evaluating talent, not recruiting, not coordinating the NIL efforts, not chatting up alumni and fans, not being visible as the Head Football Coach of the third-best football program in Texas. That kind of nonfeasance doesn't come cheap, my friend.
