Choate to Nevada
Seems like a good LB coach and DC, if not as a Head Coach. How is he as a recruiter?

Choate to Nevada
I was hoping he would stay one more year, but no. Good luck to Choater--just don't take too many of our support staff. So, who's next at LB Coach?

THE College Football Playoff Rankings Thread [MICH,WASH,TEX,ALA]
So let me get this straight. According to the NCAA this is what the 12-team playoff will look like next year: "The new 12-team College Football Playoff field will include the six highest-ranked conference champions, which will receive automatic bids. The six highest-ranked teams remaining will round out the 12-team format." So, if this was next year after the changes in the SEC and B1G we would need to fill out 6 conference champions. That would obviously include ACC, SEC, and B1G. Oregon State from the Mountain West would be the next highest rated conference champion. Oklahoma State would be in representing the Big 12 as conference champion, but we still need a sixth conference champion. The next highest ranked one is Liberty. You're now down to 6 at-large positions. Let's assume Michigan and Texas are B1G and SEC champs. That means Washington, Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State would take four of the six slots and you'd have to choose between Oregon, Missouri, Pedo, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma--all two loss teams-- for the last two spots. Meanwhile, Oregon State, Oklahoma State, and Liberty belong nowhere near a playoff and the first round pairings will be subject to conspiracy theories galore. This will be a clusterfuck going forward. On the other hand, as long as Texas is Top 6, we either get a bye or high odds for a cupcake first round.

Jett Bush would have scooped that one.

This is your reminder that the Louisville guy is a sixth-year QB.

Man, watching these later games, I'm confident that if we get in we will have a substantial edge in the schemes Sark and PK will draw up over the next month.

If there's a defensive score, this game is over.

That's where we sit now (I'm thinking tOSU drops behind). Have always needed a win tomorrow and a Florida State loss.

The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder appeared in four games in 2023 and recorded one catch for 12 yards against Pitt. In total, James played 22 snaps in an Irish uniform. Coming out of high school, James was a consensus four-star prospect who chose Notre Dame over Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Oregon, Stanford, TCU, Texas and Texas A&M. James will be the first departure of Notre Dame’s five-man 2023 receiver haul as Jaden Greathouse, Rico Flores Jr., KK Smith and Jordan Faison are set to return to the Irish program.

The conference realignment and the coaching change are killing Oregon State. After Smith left for Michigan State and took half the staff, they did promote their DC to Head Coach and he's an alum who starred at LB, but it looks like a lot of players will want out.

I assume Sark and most will be getting raises. I think we can money-whip Choate and beat back a Boise State. I think that would be the smart move for him too. My guess is he eventually leaves for an ACC/Big 12 type head coaching gig.
