  1. I am sure the level of tampering is nuclear. They are the best roster in CFB with a closed portal window to everyone else. They are sitting ducks.
  2. Nah, Herman’s had a velvet handle and a breathylizer.
  3. We are going to have Gameday two weeks in a row aren't we?
  4. I've said for a while now that it would not surprise me in the least to see a culling of the barnacle programs in the big conferences once any super conference or additional expansion occur. If the SEC drops Vandy or Miss St, or the B1G drops Indiana or Rutgers in exchange for FSU, Clemson, Notre Dame, North Carolina, etc. There really isn't a cohesive argument as to why it shouldn't happen outside of sentiment or historical precedent. Particularly if the TV networks put a cap on the amount of teams, and/or the payouts begin to get diluted. Would adding Florida State and Clemson be accretive to the payouts if the SEC were to drop Vandy and Miss. St? Absolutely it would. Would the B1G be a better conference if they swapped Notre Dame and North Carolina for Purdue and Rutgers? You bet.
  5. I'm not sure it is that far fetched, you are talking about in most cases making someone the highest paid person in your entire school system. That typically requires the president and others to sign off. CDC was working closely with Hartzell and Eltife to both hire and extend Sarkisian.
  6. Oatis going into the portal seems like a longshot now that Roach was retained.
  7. You say this, but he has an elite thousand yard stare. I think that alone is valuable enough to send out to the media to lob grenades at after any potential head scratching loss.
  8. Pretty much anyone outside of Smart or Belichick was going to be a step down in the roster's eyes. There was no way you were going to keep that roster fully intact.
  9. We had 8 total receptions worth of returning production at the WR position heading into the SEC, that is not a good formula for success. I would expect for Sark to loosen up the receiver rotation a bit this year since there is a lot of talented depth that needs to get experience. I would like to see us field 6-7 WRs that get consistent snaps. Cook, Bond, Golden, Boldin, Wingo, Niblett and Moore should all be seeing action next season.
  10. I love how Texas gets thrown into these things without any merit just to drive the price up.
  11. Then I think it makes perfect sense to hire the guy who oversaw blowing the top off of every salary and pay structure under his purview while bidding only against himself.
  12. Jimbo would give himself another 80 million dollar contract with full guarantee and then proceed to punch Byrne in the face with his tiny fist.
  13. I am sure he will get plenty of touches this next season, which should make for it's own comedy when he starts angling for raises.
  14. Nah, I don't think that is a fair assessment. Maye is legitimately pretty good. Is he a top 5 pick good? Probably not. I could see him being a mid level starter or perhaps have a Colt McCoy like career as a long time backup. This year's QB draft is going to be full of a bunch of fools gold. McCarthy will be out of the league in 5 years, Williams has a very high potential of flaming out, Nix is just not a great quarterback to begin with. Maye is the safest pick, and even then you aren't guaranteed a long term starter. Daniels and Jefferson may be two guys who could have some real impact, but I am still not fully sold on either at the next level. If I had to pick someone as a starter Day 1, it would probably be Penix, and even he has a bunch of injury concerns.
  15. I think Michigan will be a shell of what we saw this year. 22 graduating seniors or draft entries, possibly without Harbaugh, no McCarthy, No Corrum, Defensive unit gutted, OL gutted.
  16. Murphy at 16 is a good indicator that that mock is total horse shit.
  17. There was an interesting comment made by Burton on his show this morning. He said that Davis didn't exactly leave the cupboards stacked with players who were ready to go at the DT spot. It makes me wonder if he just spent all of his time on two or three guys throughout the season. I am not creating revisionist history, but I wonder if losing Davis won't be as impactful as some think in the long term if we can get another good developer in the boat.
