  1. Has he ever went out and recruited vs national powers? or had to build up an NIL? Being a coach at a school like Bama is much bigger, than coaching a team and X’s and O’s. Bill Snyder was one of the best football coaches ever, but I doubt he could have won a NC at a blue blood. Being an actual football coach is just a part of running a major program. There is long list of successful coaches, that failed at blue bloods
  2. I think he is a great coach, but I am not sure he is the type of guy that can organize NIL and build a recruiting machine to be a the top of the SEC. He maybe better off in the NFL or at a school like Washington.
  3. That is great. I forgot they call him the Cookie Monster
  4. how do you know? Can anyone actually understand a word he says?
  5. Orgeron seemed ridiculous, but Bobby keeps bringing him up. Hard to know if he is the same level of coach that he was a decade ago when he was coaching DL, but if he is, he is an upgrade. He was an absolute witch on the recruiting trail, which nobody can explain. He was a great developer.
  6. I wish there was a place you could go to find out simple facts like population of a city..
  7. How can you not replace your head coach in 24 hours? WTF, are they doing.. Amazing!!
  8. Nobody said it was not possible, but it’s easier to recruit at schools like Georgia and Texas that have huge recruiting grounds in their backyards. When you don’t that means you have to recruit nationally and those are much tougher recruitments. Oregon is being boosted by the issues at USC and UCLA currently.
  9. It’s still Oregon, which makes recruiting tough. No natural recruiting pipeline within a 5 hour drive.
  10. Heard his buy out is 20mm, that would be a ton of money for Bama to shell out Tosh can coach LB, so that isn’t an issue
  11. I said it isnt going there. Nansen was on the staff. Wilcox was his DC. He seems pretty solid at identifying coaching talent. I was just looking at his old coaching staffs.
  12. I forgot that Tosh Lupoi was Sark's DL coach at Washington. I dont think it is going there, but I saw his name in the this chat
  13. Bo got through compliance, so I dont think that would be an issue. I dont think it is particularly likely anyway
  14. I hope this doesnt effect Collins decision to stay..
  15. I was joking, but he coached LB in 2011 and DL in 2012-2013 for OSU..
  16. You are thinking too small. Vrabel just got fired from the Titans..
  17. Hell of a question, but he did develop well at Baylor. He had to recruit there. He has NFL experience. I doubt Sark goes in that direction, but he came to mind.
  18. Funny, I thought of Frank Okam. Was DT coach under Matt Rhule at Baylor and Carolina. 1 year at Raiders and now Toledo..
  19. For you I will do it.. CSU- 0.9 @ Michigan- 0.5 UTSA- 0.9 ULM- 0.95 MSU- 0.85 OU- 0.65 UGA- 0.4 @Vandy- 0.85 Florida- 0.7 @ Ark- 0.7 UK- 0.75 @ A&M- .65 Texas favored in 10 of 12 games. That gets you to 8.8, so call it 9 and 3 expected. That is just off the cuff with 0 work put into it.
  20. I have never heard of the 5 yard rule. I know the NFL calls it "close-line" play. I do know that you dont have a 10 yard area from sideline to sideline surrounding the LOS to block in the back. Other exceptions being loose ball, player turns. I dont know why I am blanking on that Watts play.
  21. if you are talkign about the Watts play that was below the waste, not in the back.
  22. It is a BS stat that said the 1st team not to allow an opponent to score 25 points in 15 games. I am ashamed you fell for that, since 1997 Michigan never gave up 25 pts. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1997_Michigan_Wolverines_football_team https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1991_Washington_Huskies_football_team https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1981_Clemson_Tigers_football_team https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1992_Alabama_Crimson_Tide_football_team https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_Alabama_Crimson_Tide_football_team
