  1. Their DL is talented, but can be undisciplined (similar to UK’s Deone Walker) and losing gap integrity in the running game Guessing this will be a huge game for Quinn and the RBs. A&M started overloading a side in the 2nd half of the Auburn game. I would expect to see that in this game. RBs are going have to pick up blitzes. Quinn is going to have to identify the blitz and hit his hot route.
  2. If that doesn’t get you going, you are dead inside
  3. I am not advocating chanting S-E-C, but it’s just stupid to continue the fight against the SEC bias now. That is so last year
  4. I am that guy. If you want to give me extra perks. I am going to take it. CDC knows where I am coming from.
  5. We get too caught up in the top 25. There is not the massive chasm between number 17 and 35 that we pretend there is.
  6. Now that Texas is in the SEC, I am 100% onboard with SEC bias
  7. He does not lead the WRs to open space on his deep ball. He makes it harder on himself than it needs to be. The throw to Wingo is a prime example. Wingo beats his man to the inside. There is space to throw it towards the middle of the field. Quinn throws it short and to the outside. Throw it inside and Wingo can flatten the route and make the catch. Similar on the moon ball to Bond.
  8. Fumble one snap and then threw it backwards. Fumbled on the rusher knocking it hit of his hands.
  9. He had one dropped snap. He hurt himself late 1Q/early 2Q.. Probably stiffened up at half, but 1 fumbled snap in like 40-50 snaps isn’t “all over the place”. The hyperbole is reaching peak Surly levels early this morning
  10. You just said Quinn was fumbling snaps all over the place, because of the pain. I didn’t see that in the game I watched, but if that was accurate Sark would be really stupid to play that Quinn
  11. Either Sark is the biggest moron in college football or you are projecting too much. I guess we will find out
  12. The injury may force Sark to have 2 game plans and split the QB work this week. By 2 game plans , I mean constructing game plans that highlight what each QB does well.. I would assume more play action shots with Arch. More quick game with A&M
  13. Ehh.. Sark called a roll out with Quinn, so I am not sure Sark thought Quinn was that injured. DJ Campbell was limping around the 2nd half and the run game was fine. That said he may have already decided to end the game running and wanted give Quinn the ball in what may be his last start.
  14. Yes.. The bye would be a huge advantage. A loss to A&M and Texas is likely on the road for the 1st round game, I would like to avoid that
  15. Not in the deep ball. He just doesn’t have a good feel for it. The intermediate throw down the middle of the field looked more like last year, that was one of the better signs from Quinn’s game yesterday
  16. He didn’t throw one deep ball after his injury. He did throw his best pass after the injury though (Helm TD).
  17. Let’s just move past arguing over Quinn’s deep balls. They are what they are at this point. He is below average deep ball passer. Yesterday was no different. For Quinn to lead Texas to NC. He needs to continue to hit the intermediate ball and show some composure when things are not perfect
  18. In all fairness, that kid looked pretty good. He was facing a serious pass rush and he just kept throwing the ball. Not sure he had an NFL type arm, but hard to watch that game and not be intrigued by that kid. Very impressive first impression for a true freshmen
  19. Someone asked about shitty decisions. I gave one. Quinn was pretty good with reads. Intermediate ball was bette today. Worst one was the short completion on 3rd down. Texas ran the mesh and Ewers threw to the wrong guy. Easy first down if he made the right read there
  20. 7 pts.. fumble returned for TD is not on the defense
  21. It was backward, so it would have lost less yards
  22. Thrown it forward. Are you really going argue throwing the ball backwards is a good thing?
  23. The backwards pass off the dropped snap was an uber-shitty decision
