  1. I have seen him tip-toe at times between the tackles, when the holes are not huge.. Baxter and Blue are still a work in progress. Texas run game will remain productive, as long as, Worthy and Mitchell are out here and teams have to respect them..
  2. That was supposedly his best asset as a recruit. Speed and pass catching were his calling cards
  3. I would agree with this. The biggest obstacle for young TEs to find playing time is blocking. Most these guys are not asked to do much blocking in HS and are rarely ready to take on a grown man at DE in year 1.
  4. This and the KRob were untouched TDs, beautiful offense. Babers has talked about that recently.. Texas didnt run much early in the season and have slowly increased it. Theory being the RBs werent ready.. He thought they would scrap it after Brooks went down, but that has not been the case. Based on his research it is the most productive formation for Texas under the Sark regime. There is an argument that you could see that as a staple of the offense next year. Baxter and Blue are a good pair for that. Its a nice speed/power pairing.. . You can skip to the 31 minute mark to hear the discussion on the 21 set
  5. A figured you were mostly joking, but it’s one of those memes that Texas fans love to believe. 4Q probably has garbage points in it also. Though TCU and KSU are probably the main culprit for the 4Q numbers. Early in the year Texas was much better in the 2nd half. 94 pts is the 3Q over 12 games, 70 over 11 taking out the 24 (6.4)
  6. Didnt Florida beat an undefeated FSU team to a win title in a rematch game, where FSU had to play their back-up QB.. Thinking maybe in the 90s?
  7. Still works. Sark is throwing less shots, because more people play over the top of the Texas this year. The offense sputters at times, because they are not consistent down to down. Texas is highly dependent on big plays. Not easy, but forcing Texas to execute 8-12 play drives and score in the red zone is a solid strategy..
  8. Scoring by Quarter 1Q- 7.7 (3.0 allowed) 2Q- 10.2 (4.4) 3Q- 7.8 (4.2) 4Q- 9.3 (5.7) Texas has out-scored the opposition in every quarter this year.. It was really just 2 games, where Texas reverted to poor 4Qs..
  9. I would guess he is going to follow the Sark Rules. Take away the explosives (deep ball), make Sark be patient, and see if Texas can score in the red zone.
  10. He is going to be an NFL player. Jones has been very good, but I wish Flood found more ways to get him PT. Texas is 11-1, so obviously nitpicking.
  11. Sark would love to have that on the team.. Here are the PFF grades for Helm and Sanders Pass PBLK RBLK Sanders 73.30 58.5 57.7 Helm 61.00 52.2 46.6
  12. You know the system is screwed up, when Bama and Texas fans would argue the other team should be the higher seed.
  13. would guess FSU, Texas, Bama, and Georgia.. Georgia probably gets the honor of playing FSU ..
  14. Neal Brown or Matt Campbell. After the gambling scandal, nobody thought they would even get to bowl eligible.
  15. Stop Robin. You know that was from CTj and you just ran with it. Just another thing you owe to CTJ.
  16. Glad CTJ gave you time off from grabbing him a coffee to come up with that original thought.
  17. Not saying he didnt, but this isnt a good OSU team. OSU has no business being in the Big 12 Championship game with their overall talent. Texas should be there, so I have 0 issues that Gundy got it over Sark.
  18. He did a great job.. It helps to come into the season with absolute dogshit and then coach them to the Championship game.
  19. I definitely think Barron should be 1st team, but Nickel is always discounted. Jones deserved to be on a team, but overall the list is far more reasonable to Texas players than I expected
  20. I would not bet on that. Coaches are doing their job and pointing out that a starter is leaving and a spot is open. I am not convinced that Brooks (Field) and Muhammad (Boundary) will stay at their specific positions. Black is a big bodied CB, that is either a boundary or will slide inside. Wilson, Mack, and Black will likely all start at CB, but it is highly unlikely they all stay there. There is no reason to get get caught up about specific positions now. I would love for Texas to get back to the days of Akina, when the safeties had CB skills..
  21. Am going A. Option A probably means Texas wins the Big 12 and at least makes the Championship game..
  22. It would be great, if Texas started to collect the type of talent to be able move someone like Kobe Black inside. Given his size and athleticism, Nickel seems a like a great fit.. Either way it doesnt matter, you get a kid like that on campus and let his body figure out where he is going to end up.
