Thanks Cam Williams putting up stellar grades
  2. You dont need faith. This shit is simple. Texas has 0% chance of getting in over an undefeated Georgia.. We can argue over the odds of Texas vs Baama for the last spot, but Bama doesnt have a 100% chance to get in over Texas... Texas has 0% chance to get in over undefeated teams. Texas has somewhere between a 1%-99% chance to get in over a 1 loss team. Even if you think it is a 1% chance, that is still greater than 0%
  3. Lville win is the best chacne for Texas to get in, but not the only Lets look a this logically: 1. Michigan vs Iowa.... Michigan wins the are a stone cold lock to get in.. Iowa loss opens up a slot in the playoffs. In that scenario, Texas has a better chance to make the playoffs with a Iowa win (highly unlikely).. So rooting for Michigan would be counterproductive to increasing Texas's chance of making the playoffs 2. UGa vs Bama. UGa is a lock. 100% certainty they get in over Texas.. Texas has head to head over Bama, so a Bama win helps the Texas resume... You can believe that Bama gets in over Texas, but not with 100% certainty. Root for Bama 3. Wash vs Oregon.. This is the same.. Washington is a 100% lock to get in over Texas with a win. Oregon maybe 95% chance to get in over Texas, but it is not 100% like Washington.. Root for Oregon 4.. WE all agree on Lville vs FSU
  4. Texas is out of the top 4 currently, so they need spots to open up. Texas fans should root against every undefeated team, because there is 0 argument for Texas to get in over a undefeated team (maybe with FSU, snowballs chance in hell type o thing).. Rooting for Michigan and Washington does not help.. Texas fans need to root for Iowa, Oregon, and Bama. Chaos is a friend of Texas
  5. We disagree here, because now the committee is in a bind.. Usually a committee will take the path of least resistance. In that case the committee could come out and talk about SOS, which would heavily favor Bama and Texas. If the committee puts in Oregon in this scenario, they have to decide between Texas and Bama. Putting Bama in over Texas and ignoring a head to head (on the road) would be one of the most controversial decisions ever. Leaving the SEC out, would be unprecedented. The least controversial would be to say "screw it, lets go with resume and leave Oregon out"
  6. Committee chair only talked about Bo Nix and his 78% completion, when confronted with Texas having a better resume (better win, SOS, and same opponent performance), only to say FSU is more the than their QB 2 minutes later. Hard to say WTF they are looking at
  7. I think Oregon's greatest risk of missing the playoffs is in the 2 spots for 3 teams. That is where Bama/SEC and Head/head comes to play.. Texas needs Bama to win, to have any chance of passing Oregon.
  8. Iowa 1st half pts is even money at 0.5 pts, so I dont have much faith in Iowa winning
  9. that is true.. It is harder for Texas to just straight out jump Oregon for 1 spot. I think the playoff committee rankings reflect what they think/hope will happen. A Bama win would certainly increase the Texas resume. I know the committee has not followed resume to date, but they are now starting to get heat about that from various spots.. Texas needs to win. An impressive win would also seriously help. Back to Back 50 pt wins would put the committee in a bind. We shall see how it plays out
  10. Vegas is a collection of models and dudes named Vinny,. the others are using just their model to calculate playoff chances.
  11. The only chance that Texas jumps Oregon is in the 2 spots for 3 teams scenario.. Bama wins, Texas, Michigan Wins, and FSU wins. Now the committee is screwed. Leave out the SEC champ? Put Bama in, but ignore Head to Head and leave Texas out? I think they put Texas and Bama in over Oregon in that scenario, but that is a guess.
  12. I saw Louisville moneyline is +115.. There is some vig in that, so call it 45% chance to win the game.
  13. Very interested in seeing the grades on teh 2nd team OL. They looked really good based on the initial viewing.

@linux Hate to be a pain in the ass, but would appreciate you posting the PFF grades for Tech.. I am very curious to see the grades on the 2nd team OL. Initially viewing had me excited about the future.. Thanks in advance
  15. Wait. .Are you saying you were right? Sam is on the Colts roster has started games in the NFL.. To most that would make him an NFL QB.
  16. I have not looked at the conference records in depth, but I think a lot of the love for the Pac 10 as a conference is based on early season wins over Florida and TCU.. At the time those were considered statements. Today we know TCU and Florida is not going anywhere. I would guess the computers are giving Big 12 some credit for their game play vs Oregon (tech) and Utah (Baylor),
  17. I think as we get closer to the draft, people are looking more in-depth at how Sanders looks when he does not have the ball. Like any player their draft stock can move wildly between now and the draft.
  18. Being drafted is the biggest key, but havigng 5 stars leaving early regularly to be high draft picks is what gets recruits going. It is what Bama and Georgia get to talk about, that Texas can not.. Like I said if Quinn goes in the 1st round this year, it most likely means Texas won the Big 12 and played very well in the playoffs (likely 2 games).. Sign me up for that scenario
  19. As much as I want to keep as talent for next year, nothing is better for the program than guys leaving early and being high draft picks.
  20. I want to see Arch start next year.. I want Quinn to go in the 1st round.. The only way that happens is if Quinn goes off vs OSU and in the playoffs.
  21. Quinn could go off and definitely be gone.. I dont think Brooks has a chance.. latest RB mock I saw has him as the 9th RB on the board. Going right after Donovan Edwards. https://www.drafttek.com/2024-NFL-Draft-Position-Rankings/Top-College-RBs-2024-NFL-Draft.asp
  22. I just said I would swap it right now. Both those guys are studs. They have a better RB room than Texas, since day one
