  1. Wait. .Are you saying you were right? Sam is on the Colts roster has started games in the NFL.. To most that would make him an NFL QB.
  2. I have not looked at the conference records in depth, but I think a lot of the love for the Pac 10 as a conference is based on early season wins over Florida and TCU.. At the time those were considered statements. Today we know TCU and Florida is not going anywhere. I would guess the computers are giving Big 12 some credit for their game play vs Oregon (tech) and Utah (Baylor),
  3. I think as we get closer to the draft, people are looking more in-depth at how Sanders looks when he does not have the ball. Like any player their draft stock can move wildly between now and the draft.
  4. Being drafted is the biggest key, but havigng 5 stars leaving early regularly to be high draft picks is what gets recruits going. It is what Bama and Georgia get to talk about, that Texas can not.. Like I said if Quinn goes in the 1st round this year, it most likely means Texas won the Big 12 and played very well in the playoffs (likely 2 games).. Sign me up for that scenario
  5. As much as I want to keep as talent for next year, nothing is better for the program than guys leaving early and being high draft picks.
  6. I want to see Arch start next year.. I want Quinn to go in the 1st round.. The only way that happens is if Quinn goes off vs OSU and in the playoffs.
  7. Quinn could go off and definitely be gone.. I dont think Brooks has a chance.. latest RB mock I saw has him as the 9th RB on the board. Going right after Donovan Edwards. https://www.drafttek.com/2024-NFL-Draft-Position-Rankings/Top-College-RBs-2024-NFL-Draft.asp
  8. I just said I would swap it right now. Both those guys are studs. They have a better RB room than Texas, since day one
  9. It’s always an opinion. If I could trade rooms with PSU I would do it immediately, since both of those guys are back next year. I don’t think Texas has a proven RB after Brooks went down and he has never made it through a season healthy. PSU has Drew Allan at QB.. That is like tying a tire around a RB and asking him to run. Texas RBs don’t see a lot of stacked boxes like PSU does. DC don’t come in to play Texas focusing on stopping the run. Sarks own words “Texas throws to open up the run”. Texas is a pass first team. Michigan and PSU are the exact opposite. PSU is very similar to what Texas was last year. 2 great RBs and a talented, but erratic QB.
  10. Red got into an ugly habit of cutting everything back out of the Wildcat. He been playing RB in college for 5 months. I don’t think there is a lot of versatility at this point. I do think Baxter will be the answer next year. Mostly because Texas hasn’t developed a power back. Blue and Keilan are explosive, but they are not great between the tackles. Baring the OL kicking the shit out of Tech.
  11. They are statistically better, but UCF and WVu have decent argument in the Big 12 if statistics are all we look at.
  12. It’s a good group, but it’s not the best RB room in the country. There isn’t a guy to get you 3rd and 1 in the group (yet, eventually Baxter gets there). There is a reason Texas struggles in short yardage situations. Keilan and Blue are redundant. Baxter and Red need some time to bake. In Baxter’s case he may just need get healthy, which he hasn’t been all year.
  13. That is fine. Corum and Edwards > Brooks and Baxter Allen and Singelton > Brooks and Baxter I like Baxter, but he is just a true freshmen and been banged up all year. You have to look at the top 2, not just the #1 RB
  14. That’s makes 2 people that don’t watch anything, but Texas football.. It’s room. Would be nice if Brooks went down and then Nick Singelton or Donovan Edward’s came in..
  15. I said 3rd or 4th.. Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State. Michigan is easily the best RB room in the country. I would definitely take PSU over Texas. People can argue that over Texas and OSU
  16. This is stupid. Assuming everyone if healthy, Texas would have the 3rd- 4th best RB room in the Big 10. You need to go watch some football.
  17. Calling Baxter, Blue, and Red the best RB room in the country is just unbelievable. That is next level BS
  18. I am not sure on JT.. he know the IT guys said they were hearing 3-4th round from their sources
  19. To be fair, teams dared Quinn to beat them last year. This year it is quite the opposite
  20. its possible, but SOS and best win would both favor Texas over Oregon.. Bama would be ranked above Washington in the final poll. I would bet Georgia would be ranked above Washington in the final poll Committtee could be a slave to recency bias, but my argument is the cleanest and most logical path for the committee would be to select Texas and Bama. That maybe a stretch since this committee has not been bound by logic
  21. I am not sure on this. Just assume Michigan, FSU, Oregon, Texas, and Bama win. Michigan is in.. FSU is in.. Now the committee has to pick 2 of the 3. Texas has the head to head over Bame. I believe the SOS argument argument over both. They have 3 choices 1. They send the message that the regular season does not matter and puts Bama in over Texas, which will bring in all kinds of heat. SOS does not matter and they put in Oregon 2. They leave the SEC out and the world goes nuts. SOS does not matter as Oregon in over Bama 3. They say we looked at the resumes. Bama and Texas have a stronger SOS and resume, than Oregon. They would also have the better win
  22. I am not sure on the #1.. Bama/Texas is an interesting argument. I dont think you can assume Bama jumps Texas, given the double digit win on the road for Texas. Texas has 1 loss, so the more teams with 1 loss the better for Texas. Root for chaos, but especially Louisville and Bama.
  23. Committee is basing it on margin of victory, without adjusting for strength of schedule Oregon #2 in nation at 25.3 Texas #11 at 17.8 Bama #15 @ 14.4 https://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/stat/average-scoring-margin I am not saying it is correct, but that seems to be their basis. Even if MOV is not supposed to be a criteria of the committee.
