  2. Listened to Babers, who always has stats. Couple interesting ones Arch was over 50% on pass 20 yards and more. He is top 15 in the nation on straight drop back passing. Both stats I believe were prior to MSU game. Those numbers will be higher, as most of the damage done in the 4Q was straight drop back
  3. He needs to learn to protect himself. Got hurt on a first down run. No need to take that hit
  4. The 8 yards is one thing, but to compound it they are bailing at the snap.
  5. closer to Auburn to be honest. LSU cannot run block (like Bama), but think they are OK in pass pro. I do not think Texas, SoCar, and OU do anything at a league average level.
  6. He points out a lot of good things. The deep routes on 3rd and 7-8, where guys are not turning there heads until 12-15. Max protection where you get a freshman TE 1 on 1 with DE, while your future NFL LT is blocking air. His peace on things changing were on the deep over concepts that Sark loves. He criticized Sark for all the deep routes vs Florida in the face of pressure. He pointed out that same thing happened in MSU, but Arch made a play to evade pressure and hit Wingo for TD.
  7. worst OL in the league is probably a fight between Texas, OU, and SoCar.
  8. Defense dominated that game. Vandy had TDs on short drives (38 and 31 yards). Last one was vs prevent and finished with 44 seconds left and no with no Timeouts. Vandy turned it over 3 times. Clark Lea did make some nice adjustments at halftime.
  9. I now go into games and ask will Sark do what he wants or do what is needed. If he insists on running WR that break around 12 on the 3rd 8, this game is going to be tight. If shortens things up and is more concerned about efficiency, Texas will score on Vandy. Last year Sark got them early, Vandy adjusted, and the offense struggled down the stretch. According to FEI this is the worst P4 defense Texas has faced. They are #60 (MSU was #38)
  10. I suspect it looks more like UK than MSU, unless they tighten up the coverages. Not particularly high scoring, but Vandy plays play control and chews the clock
  11. Not a huge fan. TEs are not good blockers. Easier for a defense to run line games on an OL that struggles to pick up stunts and blitzes. Then you have the TE is pass protection. We saw Washington give up a sack when he was 1 on 1 with a DE. The frustrating part was Goosby blocked nobody next to him, so even with all the blockers in MSU got the 1 on 1 mismatch
  12. Offenses have hurt Texas with TEs and crossing routes the last 2 weeks. Vandy has an NFL TE. They will be happy to take the underneath stuff. I don’t think Vandy has any crazy speed on the outside, so I don’t think the DBs will play as deep as last week. Vandy will use the same formula though. They will attack Guilbeau, Littleton, and the LBs with the passing game.
  13. This has been talked about for quite awhile, but the issue is will Sark change. He sees the same thing everyone else does, but he has not shown the willingness to change. Hope was there after the OU game plan, only to see Sark revert to something resembling the Florida game plan vs UK. I hope it changes, but we will see
  14. Have to tip the cap to vintage Blake Shape in crunch time. Missed an easy TD on the slant that would have tied it in OT. Then on the final play he just drops the football and takes the sack to seal the game
  15. There are 2 truths to this. 1. The TEs are not great blockers and honestly haven’t been under Sark 2. It is asking a fucking lot of freshmen TE to block a DE 1 on 1 in pass pro. I know Ewers hated it
  16. I’ll give credit to Texas Homer. He has been bitching about this since basically OSU. He has Sark over complicates things. Texas doesn’t do a lot of easy spread things that other teams do everyday. Spreading things out makes things easier for everyone. The OL struggled with stunts and blitz pick-ups. You go 12 personnel and invite all those defenders in the box, it’s makes it easier to disguise stunts and blitzes. Probably go make at some point to see how much of it was MSU or the Texas OL late in the game. My guess is a bit off both after the initial watch
  17. Love that guy. Not many coaches would have punted to Nibblett with lead like that.
  18. He has looked very good in limited time. His career stats are worrisome. Sub 60% comp, 22 TDs, and 15 ints through 5 seasons. Feels like we are going to find out on Saturday
  19. His PFF grade is in the 80s with clean pockets and he was top 10 in the name in Big time throws this season
  20. This was all reminiscent of Tom Herman. Run my typical shit until the 4Q. Get behind and say spread them out and let the QB work. Time is a flat circle
  21. Correct. Any gameplan that features a one-dimensional offense is putting the offense in a position to fail. This is the worst pass blocking unit in the P4 based on the numbers. Arch has a 87.8 PFF grade from a clean pocket. Unfortunately, he doesnt see many clean pockets. Getting 1 dimensional is a great way to ensure there are not clean pockets.
  22. Completely asinine. Texas had 2 runs to RBs in the first 18 plays. Outside zone can crease teams blitzing and stunting, like OU. You had this play which should have been a big winner, if not a TD. Clark misses a huge gain. Clark cuts it up here, if he follows outside and cuts up off Robertson's ass this is a huge play. Campbell would have 7 pinned inside. At that point it would have been Clark vs a Safety 1 on 1.. No reason to abandon the run.
  23. throwing out the G5, Texas has given up more pressures than any P4 team this year. Seems unlikely Texas will break out on offense with that backdrop.
  24. Watching Scip and he just said if you throw out non-P4 games, the Texas OL has given up more pressure than any P4 team
