  1. Always tough to figure out responsibilities in bad coverage. The only thing I am sure of is there is no reason for Holmes to be 10 yards off with outside leverage and bailing on the snap. You can play off ball, but on 4th nd 2 you can play that flat footed.
  2. Ill give you 1:15. Contested, but you got to mke that play. Forget that one. 4:10 is the tipped ball at the LOS, so that is in no way a drop. The one at 5:05 is definitely a drop. That was the one I remembered
  3. Ball was tipped at the LOS. insane to call that a drop
  4. Sure it did, tough guy. I showed the shot of the ball in front of DB's arm. If people want to bullshit themselves for Maalik's sake go right ahead.
  5. Funny. You respond with a grainer video.. I can only lead a Surly poster to the truth, I cant make him accept it.
  6. You can see the ball hit off the defender there and never got to Worthy's body.. Its a nice play by the DB.
  7. No. Ball was just a bit underthrown. The BYU player made a nice play and got a hold of the ball. You could critic Worthy for not high pointing the ball better, but I have seen enough of Worthy to know that is just wasted words. I am not sure why people think Worthy is ever going to be a 50/50 ball monster. He is a space guy..
  8. Deep ball was batted away by the defender, it never hit his chest. IF you think a WR should catch a ball deflected that goes low and behind him on a slant, than you are going to be very disappointed. The guy has plenty of legitimate drops over his time at Texas, but trying to claim that was drop is utter nonsense. IF a different QB threw that, nobody would claim that was a drop
  9. He is covered by the safety there, you can see the shadow if you look for it. Watts put him in conflict though. Watts is tight to the flat and should be getting some depth there for the corner
  10. It been discussed ad nauseam, but this game people are putting drops on him that are just ridiculous.
  11. There were multiple passes that were potential picks vs a slow BYU secondary. He need to clean that up. It was his first start, so it was understandable, but no need to BS ourselves. Maalik is going to have to take a big step this week for Texas to win..
  12. I am not a huge fan of Acho's on air personality, but he is 100% correct about this. That was Foster level bad
  13. Heard this from Bobby Burton 34 called runs 7 went for 0 or negative yards 12 went for 1-2 yards so 19 went for 2 or less yards out of 34 runs, not the consistency you are looking for out of the run game
  14. That is what I am hoping. When teams go big personnel, PK has gone to more traditional 4-3 look and taken Barron off. Even did that a bit vs BYU. I don’t want Barrons play time to be dictated by the opposing offense’s formations. He is one of the 2 best defenders on the team
  15. Not sure what KSU has. Watts and Brooks are better vs big and physical WRs. I like Muhammad and Holmes for fast WRs. The truth is I don’t really care where PK puts Barron, as long as, it isn’t on the bench.
  16. This brings me to my “Hey PK -- What would you say you do here?” question. PK has typically gone to his heavy sets vs run oriented teams. That has left Barron on the bench at times this season. Is this the game that PK looks around and puts Barron at Safety to keep him on the field, when he isn’t in nickel?
  17. Very underrated comment. ACC coaches have been saying Venables was stealing signs for years.. Just hope NCAA listens to coaches like Saban and Rhule, who both came out saying it is ridiculous that they don’t have headsets in the QB helmets at the P5 level. That should be the 1st rule change the committee reviews this off-season. It’s a joke this is still going on, when it could be fixed in a month
  18. There is value to giving an offense the ball on their on 1 yard line. That has a negative expected value. The most likely scenario is Texas gets ball back on offense between the 40s.
  19. Sark was losing his shit on the sideline during that.
  20. That is a new one to me. Guy I always heard as a model of lazy and talented was D Coleman. Never even thought of Horry as uber-talented or lazy.
  21. I have no doubt Neto is probably a liability in pass pro. I do think Flood could be working him in, especially yesterday. With Ewers out, the focus of the offense has flipped. Texas is now a run first team. I wouldn’t mind seeing Neto in the short yardage package. I could be completely wrong, but it like his aggressiveness. Neto may not be ready for 100% of the snaps, but there is middle ground between 0% and 100%
  22. Worthy didn’t drop 3… There are 3 plays that people THINK were drops.. The ball that was tipped at the line, which is not a drop. I just went back at the one in the End Zone and the DB got his hand on the ball, so that isn’t drop. The one on 3rd down on the flat was a drop.
  23. I’ll have to go back and look at that, but I thought that was a ball that was under thrown (not horribly) and gave the DB a chance to make a nice a play. Got his hand in between X’s arms, raked down, and made a nice PBU.. Texas was up enough that I didn’t really pay much attention to it. It does highlight the difference between Mitchell and Worthy.. Mitchell adjusted to the moon ball and shielded the defender with his body. Worthy has never really shown much ability to be physical on contested balls
  24. That was a different play.. One I am talking about was in the flat. I don’t think anyone would count a tip pass behind him as a drop
