  1. no one knows exactly why Vasquez wasn't signed. That intrigues me.
  2. can't pitch, can't hit, can't catch, can't manage, can't front office.
  3. Pena has K'd in 7 of his last 8 ABs, right? Was it 7 in a row?
  4. he's on the other team today. btw, can a player, maybe Bregs, be put behind the catcher? Is that legal?
  5. 27 Ks through 9 full innings. Half the batters strikeout!
  6. Nashville home prices are approaching Austin levels and the entire state is much higher than neighboring states. For politics, I can't support the 3 yahoos that are fixin to be voted out. Stop shouting, do something substantive. Neither will work of course but being a street hoodlum is bad optics.
  7. Yordan is the team MVP easily. Altuve didn't do anything in the playoffs, Yordan won a few with his bat and so far this year too.
  8. why so many early games today? a regular Wednesday thing?
  9. most people on this thread had over 98 wins right? How is that even possible when losing JV?
  10. letting JV go at $43 mill was the right choice obviously. Signing Brantley for $12 was a big risk, but letting Vasquez go was the dumbest decision this franchise has made in years. The pitchers are getting smashed, that's the Hakeem-Drexler core, if that fails the team is 0.500.
  11. is UCLA one, with only 1 title since Wooden? What about Michigan football?
  12. suffocating defense and maybe just 1 NBA talent, superbly coached, they'll be a force for years. On another question -- where are the freak 6'10+ college players? I'm talking about dominant inside players which dominated college ball for decades, they've gone extinct.
  13. Altuve with the bad hand and Bregman are going to have mediocre years. I'm not hopeful for the aging injured Brantley either. Tucker, Yordan, and Pena are the only reliable hitters.
  14. from ESPN, Bregman is projected to have 0 hits for the season, but thankfully 54 runs scored.
  15. starting pitching has been mediocre, not a good sign.
  16. Caitlin Clark vs. Bayou Barbie ! Let's Go!!!!!
  17. College basketball teams with the most national championships UCLA — 11 (Wooden + 1995) Kentucky — 8 North Carolina — 6 Duke — 5 (K is done) Indiana — 5 (Bobby Knight) Kansas — 4 UConn — 4 Villanova — 3 (Coach is gone + miracle 85) Cincinnati — 2 (Oscar Robertson) Florida — 2 (Horford & Noah back to back) Louisville — 2 (Denny Crum) Michigan State — 2 (Magic + Izzo) NC State — 2 (lucky dunk) Oklahoma State — 2 (long time ago) San Francisco — 2 (Bill Russell) do most people see UConn as a blueblood? If they win Monday, they'll surpass Kansas, with their 5th title in a relatively short period of 1999-2023. Looking at that list, only 2 or 3 will ever win a title again.
  18. any NBA talent of the four FF teams? I'm not seeing any.
