  1. 11 minutes of stoppage, I'd say you have your answer.
  2. That needed to be saved. No excuse there.
  3. And that's why we needed Maddison. We've been needing that since Eriksen left.
  4. COYS!!!! Let's watch some attacking futbol!
  5. I'm reading now that Harry has some financial terms to sort out at Tottenham. What could those be? What are they referring to?
  6. I thought Harry had already agreed terms with Bayern?
  7. And Sanchez is in mid-season form, getting burned on that Lewendowski goal.
  8. Really enjoying this so far. Keeps getting better, and we haven't even gotten to Morgan Freeman.
  9. Look you stupid waterhead fuck, you're the one who can't understand the fucking movie. Why didn't God just have a sandstorm come and wipe out the Nazis and re-bury the Ark? I guess he didn't "feel like it". Given your narrative that's what should have happened. Fucking moron. Your stupid fucking hypotheticals are just as stupid as the dumbshit question that started in this thread. The warehouse is flammable! Oh, I'm glad the Ark didn't travel by boat, it might have sunk in the Med only to be discovered by fucking Cousteau. Get the fuck outta here. Focus on what did happen in the movie. That's what this is about. You have to remember the time in which the movie was written and filmed. The late '70s into the start of the '80s. Released in '81. The U.S. had just experienced Watergate, the end of an unpopular war in Vietnam, the fall of Saigon, the energy crisis with gas lines, the Iran Hostage situation, Carter's "crisis of confidence" speech, and stagflation. People's belief and faith in the government was at an all time low. That's why the ending shot of a U.S. warehouse was such a twist. You go from God burying the Ark in a wrathful sandstorm that lasted an entire year, to burying it in a government warehouse. The audience can chuckle at the accepted ineptitude of bureaucracy and of our own government. Also, none of your three bulleted points in your earlier post make any goddamn sense. None of them debunk the question at hand. In fact, your post only reinforces the internet theory that Indy wasn't needed. Why don't you go watch a selection from the Fast and Furious franchise. It seems more like your speed.
  10. Yeah, it sat for 2,000+ years without being found, but the Nazis did find the city. And no shit we're talking about two different locations. The fucking island is inconsequential. It's the fact that a desert city purposely destroyed in an act of God, and eventually discovered by Man, that's at issue. The Ark had to be relocated. The irony of the last camera shot of the film is that an instrument of God, thought to be forever hidden by an act of God, is now forever hidden by man's folly. The only fucktard thing here is the hypothetical about a warehouse fire. Clearly, the ending was lost upon you.
  11. Wrong. It was in Tanis, in the desert. Indy was chosen to relocate the Ark since the city had been discovered. Post-war, Tanis would still be a site that either the Axis or Allies would research and ultimately discover the Ark. It had to be relocated. Having it lost in the bureaucracy of a FDR/New Deal big government warehouse was deemed a better option than burying it the sand again. Not to go full Cloak Room. The Mediterranean Nazi island sub base is inconsequential. That's just a stop on the way to the new final resting place. It was never staying there because Indy was still with it. That's why Indy is integral to the movie.
  12. Watched the first two. They were solid.
  13. I see what you did there.
  14. Go check out the first season episode that showcased Billy Wirth and Gemini getting into a fight. It was awesome. I think Craig Johnson won it that first year. He was an ex-athlete that was better than any Gladiator. He was a physical specimen, and could have been a Gladiator himself. That first season was awesome, although the Gladiators called it the Dark Ages. I think it lost something when they went to the sets with grid lines on the floor. The older sets were fun, especially Assault. Jousting on a bridge was cool, but dangerous. I understand why they changed that one. I used to record it and watch on Sunday. Came on Saturdays at midnight or so.
  15. Jub was ready to throw hands in that segment. He was really getting worked up at the "critics". I don't know who he was referring to specifically, but even Gordo said he was "moving away" from him. That was entertaining.
  16. I enjoyed The Howling Man. I thought that was a great episode. I used to stay up late at night on weekends to watch the series in syndication. It came on right before Mission Impossible. Trying to watch both was a challenge. I'd be up till 1 or 2 in the morning. Sunday afternoons in the summer on WGN was fun too. Top 5 television series for me.
  17. I went Tuesday and it was $10.87 for a burger, fries, and drink. You must have gotten a specialty burger.
  18. M&O Station Grill opened up their Cocktail Lounge and Bar area this week. Small, but nice. I went there yesterday at lunch but didn't bother with sitting in the new area. Their updated pricing reflects the remodel. The last time I was there in April I paid $14 for a hamburger, fries, and drink. Yesterday I paid over $17. No thanks. Love their burger, but I'm not paying that when I can go to Kincaid's for $10. I am curious as to why they think they needed a cocktail lounge and bar in that location in the Foundry District. I would think anyone in that area would just go further down 7th. That Foundry District area is growing, however. Building, what looks to be, apartments right across the street from M&O.
  19. Farmers League club might pony up some cash if KM leaves, but I don't think Harry cares about playing in France. BM will have to break the £100M threshold to get him, and they're reluctant. Last I saw they were at €90M after add on's. I think he stays for now, maybe he goes if BM raises their offer.
  20. Great doc. This is what the 30 for 30 should have been. Instead, ESPN's doc is now a companion piece to Netflix's definitive documentary. Yeah, it felt like Netflix buried the lede with the old contestant. That needs an episode by itself. One other thing, Ice is smoking hot these days. I dare say she's better looking than she was in the '90s.
  21. And he's more likely to pass forwards than backwards! We needed that creativity.
  22. A big need satisfied there. Good on Levy for getting this one over the line.
  23. I can't place it.
  24. Had this been released in the last two years, it would never have made it to network television. It would be released on Peacock or Hulu. Mads did a better Hannibal than Hopkins, which I didn't think would ever be possible.
