  1. One of our own!!!
  2. Maybe Poch knew what he was talking about when he said that the team needed a reset, and it was time to start a new project.
  3. One of our own!!!
  4. When in doubt, draft a Finn! The Stars have had good luck with Finns, from Jere to Miro. Solid players.
  5. I've thought this for a while now. His first campaign at Spurs started off well, but the end of the that season saw him fall apart. He's never recovered. He needs to be gone this next transfer period. Huge blown opportunity today, and Jose goes with that back 4. Toby should have been back there.
  6. One of our own! But fuck Sanchez. That’s the third turnover in front of goal by that fuck.
  7. Tomorrow around 10am The Bridge on the River Kwai!
  8. Navajo Burger on Navajo Trail by Lake Worth is a good burger as well. It used to be a Tommy's Burger, but switched over several years ago. They got kinda pricey for a gas station burger, and their fries went to shit when they changed suppliers, but the burger remained good. The Tommy's Burger next to Ridglea Mall is really good, as is the one on Camp Bowie close to Uncle Julio's.
  9. Swiss Pastry has an excellent burger. Unfortunately, they closed the restaurant during the pandemic, and the bakery was all that was open. They might have re-opened, but for most of the past year, it was shut down. The Black Forest cake is awesome, and you should be able to get it with a couple of days notice.
  10. If you think that Griff’s is “damn” good, then yeah, M&O ain’t for you. Neither is Kincaid’s, Dutch’s, Fred’s, or Tommy’s. Really, any good burger joint. Griff’s is awful. It’s a low grade Dairy Queen knock off. It’s cheap, I’ll give you that, but you definitely get what you pay for. Life is too short to suffer through a low quality, little known franchise burger.
  11. Oh yeah. On Thursdays (I think, could be Fridays) they have a killer Coconut Pie. Sandwiches are okay too, but the pies are outstanding.
  12. Kincaid’s is great, eat there for lunch fairly often. I’m not a fan of Rodeo Goat. Best burger in town for me right now is M&O Station Grill down the block from Target on West 7th. Absolutely amazing burger. Don't forget Dutch’s. They’ve got a great burger as well. Spring is here, and the people watching there is fun; coed’s are out in force now.
  13. Marty: “Eight’s the one, I’d stake my life on it” Trotter: “They gotta $2 minimum bet” Love that movie.
  14. Quite an afternoon today. The Bridge on the River Kwai followed by A Man for All Seasons. Great double feature!
  15. One of our own!!!
  16. Lucas looking like our best player
  17. Carlos off a good play by Lucas!
  18. COYS! How they respond today will be very telling.
  19. Yep, and add to that the fact that there will be no Champions League next year, and you have a tough sell with both of those guys. I have no clue who they get, but I can't see Jose coming back. I can see Scott Parker coming in at some point, but not yet. I think he's a future manager, but not for a number of years. He still needs to gain experience.
  20. Yes the roster needs a major overhaul, and Poch said this two years ago. I think a good portion of the players ran out of gas, more than quit on Pochettino. The summer before, during the 2018 World Cup, several of our players went deep into the knockout rounds with their countries (Kane, Eriksen, Lloris, etc...). Then you go right into the start of the 2018-19 campaign and go on an extended FA Cup run, the EPL matches being re-scheduled for our CL run started stacking up, and you could tell that both clubs in the Champions League Final were running on empty. Liverpool didn't look great either. Spurs had zero depth too, after going nearly 18 months from signing anyone in a transfer window. Lucas was the last signing in January of 2018. Kane was hurt, Son was hurt at times and suspended at one point, Dele got hurt, others were in and out of the lineup, and the squad was just fatigued. Poch couldn't rotate the lineup due to the lack of depth. We had several guys that just came into the 2019-2020 campaign with a lot of minutes on their legs. It wasn't but a handful of weeks after that CL Final that the international friendlies began, and then the EPL season. The way Poch runs his training sessions, I'm sure those guys were done. They looked it during the first dozen games. By that time, Levy had made up his mind on Mourinho. I think you're right. Add Aurier into that mix too. Look at how Mourinho handled him when he left the stadium; zero accountability. Contrast that with what Arteta did with Auba last week. I'm sure that didn't go unnoticed with Dele. Then Aurier moves right back into the lineup. As for replacements, Rogers would be good and so would Nagelsmann. As long as it's not boring, negative futbol I don't really care at this point.
  21. I shook his hand, I hope it isn't anything contagious!
