  1. Currently 8th on GD. Win tomorrow and we go to third. Need to win tomorrow.
  2. Gio out with an injury during the festive period as well.
  3. Rumors that Eriksen has been offered to Arsenal for a cut rate price. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen, and with Poch going to PSG, maybe they’ll go get Eriksen. If Dele gets loaned out to PSG like the media has been reporting, Paris could definitely have a Spurs feel to them.
  4. No, it's not reactionary. It's 18 months of watching them at the club. Ndombele keeps the ball at his feet way too long, and can't press the attack. He's had 18 months to adjust to the EPL and to work on his fitness. He's hasn't accomplished either. Add to that that he's often injured, and it makes very little sense to keep hoping that it will click for him. Lo Celso is often injured as well. Unless it's a lower tier competition like Carabao, or Europa, he's not making the necessary impact a creative mid-fielder should make for a top 6 club in the EPL. Levy needs to find an attacking mid-fielder in the transfer market.
  5. Ndombele might as well be sold. He's only effective when he has possession of the ball, he can't get the ball and immediately make a pass to press the attack, he's never fit, and he's often disgruntled. Time to move on. Lo Celso might need to move on as well. He's often hurt, and most of his success at the club has come in the Europa league against inferior competition. Spurs really need to find an attacking mid-fielder and a creative play-making mid-fielder in the mold of Eriksen.
  6. They're lost on attack. Every cross, every pass is hopeful. Nothing done with any purpose or forethought. The attacking game plan is strictly counter attack after sitting back and defending. This isn't sustainable for the remainder of the campaign.
  7. That was awful. Reminds me of the Amazon series when Mourinho was talking about Aurier and said he couldn't play him because he's scared he'd give away a penalty every game.
  8. Tie Fighter and Defender of the Empire are my all time favorite video games. Loved the Empire point of view, and loved the Imperial fighters. Especially the tie defender. Nothing like taking out Star Destroyers!
  9. I didn't see where they mentioned the passing of Jeremy Bulloch in the credits or post credits. Surprised they didn't mention that given Boba's involvement over the past few weeks. Something like a "In Memory of...".
  10. I mentioned throttling back because of your use of CAPS in your response and the tone of your post. I wouldn't expect that after posting for nearly two months about a series, anyone would find a group of people agreeing week to week, or finding effusive posts praising the series' perfection week to week. But, we're all enjoying the season. We're enjoying the ride. The people who had a criticism of one episode of this season are the same people that are posting, and enthusiastically I might add, about the other 7 episodes. Those posts are, by and large, positive and informative. That includes your posts as well. I thought you made an informative point, it just got lost in the tenor of the rest of the message.
  11. This can't be left unaddressed. Drew, you need to throttle back. Those of us criticizing this episode weren't "shitting" on it. A critical discussion on the episode doesn't mean that we were upset that Filoni didn't do it the way we had envisioned, but rather left us wondering what the overall point of the episode was. You make a valid point about Mando being cleared of wrongdoing by the Republic. Fair enough, that's a solid point. But for an episode that was sandwiched between a kickass premiere with Cobb Vanth, and a badass third episode with Bo and the Night Owls taking on Imperials, I don't agree with that point being made in the last 3 minutes of a filler episode. When looking back on the second season, there's one episode that's not like the others in terms of pace, story, and overall plot advancement. It's an eight episode season. Filler isn't required. It's not that the episode wasn't entertaining, it's that it was the least entertaining of the season. Criticizing it in a thread discussing the series isn't off base. If this was a 20+ episode season similar to CW, I'd have said nothing about it. But it's not. We're watching week to week for eight weeks and then waiting 44 weeks for the next season to start. Efficiency counts for something when we're viewing it in that manner.
  12. Agreed. Don't forget the last 4 episodes of CW earlier this year. That was a phenomenal set up for Bo Katan and Ahsoka in this series.
  13. We talked about that after episode 2, but it was dismissed as bullshit. See post #1518 on page 31. 40 years ago, sub-light travel was established in The Empire Strikes Back. The Falcon had to travel from Hoth, to the Noad system, and ultimately to Bespin (with Boba Fett stealthily following) since the hyperdrive was damaged. We've known for the better part of 5 decades that sub-light travel was possible. That episode is filler....for now. Unless Filoni revisits an element in it. In an 8 episode season, that's a large percentage of the season that was spent on not much happening or advancing any specific plot point. It picked back up almost immediately in the season's 3rd episode, with the arrival of Bo Katan.
  14. I heard on NBC 5 that it was a woman with a gunshot wound.
  15. Horrible match to watch. Jose made awful decisions today. Maybe they're looking to the Liverpool match on Wednesday. That match becomes larger now.
  16. Another fantastic episode. A lot of fun to watch. Other thoughts: Boba Fett never looked so good. Cleaned up that armor and looked like a real bad ass. Slave I's internal crew cabin rotation was fucking cool. I had that toy as a kid, and it had the cockpit rotation knob in it. I enjoyed that. Bill Burr did a great job as Mayfeld. Operation Cinder from Bill Burr was an outstanding drop as well. Anyone who has played Battlefront knows what that's all about. Great drop in and call back. I never grow tired of watching Stormtroopers get blasted. Next week should be an awesome finale. We have to see a surprise in the finale, right? Ezra, Thrawn, Ahsoka showing back up, or at a minimum Bo Katan coming back to reclaim the Dark Saber. It's going to be a long week!
  17. Yeah, you damn right it is! His autobiography should be required reading in high school. Anyone who hasn’t read it, needs to read it.
