  6. There are a few triple blacks there (Ive never skied them) but Liberty Bowl a single black is great when they have snow. Otherwise, mostly double blacks. I have rarely felt the need to pay the extra to go up the Tram as the resort is so huge and has so much good terrain to explore....I have skied there about 12 days in the past 2 years and I have only skied mostly on one side of the mountain and still havent skied all those runs ....
  7. Taos is extending their season a few days this year thru April 10th as they are hosting the World Pro Ski Tour World Championships 4/7-10 - I will probably go to this. Another recommendation is Big Sky, MT (Ikon Pass resort) which closes later on April 24, 2022...
  8. Just found this band - can’t get enough of this song. Missed it a few years ago. They have a new album out ...
  9. Correct. Texas State graduate in design and former graphic design and branding artist that jumped into fine art and making a big splash regionally.
  10. Moar Art ! 1 Jon Flaming - Richardson, Texas artist - had 2 solo museum shows last year in Midland and Tyler - this is from his popular Modern Cowboy series (he was also featured in Texas Monthly for his Series of paintings from BBQ joints around Texas A few years ago)

  12. Very cool! Acrylics right?
  13. Frito's hits close to home. I have not eaten Frito's in awhile but the wife (no pics) sent me to store last night on the frozen streets of hell here in DFW to get Frito's for Chili. Well WTF? they had every brand and type of chips except fritos.....What gives??
  14. Getting steep not a problem in Taos but yeah It can be a real killer on the flats for the knuckle draggers
  15. It’s a It’s an investment (that’s what I tell my wife anyway:) or a selfish sickness haha but I wish I had been collecting when Agnes Martin was painting in Taos and selling her paintings of that size for 5 figures and now 20 years later they exceed 7 figures ....
  16. For this artist and this size 4’ x 4’ it ranges from 7-8k...
  17. That is the trick with AbEx ....it is stripped down to basics - no use of figures, no illusions, no patterns....just colors and forms. You can slap it around the canvas but it doesn’t work until a balance is achieved and if it is real good, motion and tension are strategically thrown in the mix to make it a winner...Here’s another Tom Dixon from Taos It gets real interesting up close as you can see the strata and history of paint layers and scratches and chiseling of work that goes into this abstraction...a few of my fav portions of this painting
  18. Nice work Troph! As you put so well AbEx is crack!...You should keep it up!
  19. Moar art ! Ed Mell - Arizona artist
  20. My buddy just texted me his from Taos...37” Fresh pow from this storm ...
  21. Well I don’t think you have to worry about icy conditions in Taos anymore! Here’s to the doomers of NM snow conditions...I’ll be getting some pow soon! This is the snow stake which is a 25” ruler ...Still coming down yahoo
  22. A few more Taos artists: Jim Wagner (RIP he died this past May-iconic NM art figure - NM Governors Award of Excellence in art 2013) If you ever stopped at the Old Blinking Light (OBL) in Taos (now the Medley restaurant) You will see this view of the El Salto mountain flanking the entrance to Hondo Canyon leading to Taos Ski Valley...Thomas Suriya (Famous muralist in LA who painted “You are the Star” mural on Wilcox St in Hollywood and painted in Taos a few years a decade ago but haven’t seen or heard from him in years...)
  23. I'll check him out!
  24. Artists are crazy....this one cracks me up every time I look at it but that’s the point of good art ...it’s the “gotcha” factor...
