  1. Let's hope he's up to par in his next tournament.
  2. OK, I'll play. Where does the Takara Outlaw fall in the hierarchy? The lowercase 't' in the frame gusset was pretty cool in 1983.
  3. Gut. Meine Deutsche ist nicht sehr gut.
  4. The queens we use would not excite you.
  5. Same. BHS '88 and I've been there probably twice since my parents retired out of state 20 years ago.
  6. Hope that's still going well. My oldest had a bone marrow transplant for AML in Feb '21, with the quarantine and low dose of chemo. In remission since Feb '23.
  7. My bride (no pics, don't ask) tells me that I spent way too much time on coursework in undergrad. But how in the blue hell do you go through your last 2.5 years of college with zero 'A's?
  8. I have something rattling my head around about a special offering, but it's still pretty nebulous.
  9. Aaaand just like that, I'm back in 7th grade.
  10. Counterpoint found on phog.net. I want to believe. The coaching carousel in college football is about to start spinning as the 2023 season comes to a conclusion later this month and athletic directors across the country make decisions on their respective football programs and who the head coach should be. Two Power 5 jobs are already open in Michigan State and Northwestern and more will likely open in the weeks to come. On Wednesday, there was a social media report from a Michigan-based radio host that speculated Leipold interviewed with Michigan State on Tuesday.During his weekly Hawk Talk radio show on Wednesday, Lance Leipold shot down the rumor and stated his commitment to KU with a similar comment to one he's made in the past."This is the only interview and that's the way it's going to be," Leipold said. "The one thing that happens this time of year, is there's a lot of speculation and things that are happening that are not accurate. As I've said for a long time, Travis Goff and Chancellor Girod have treated Kelly and I extremely well and our family. It is our plan and our expectation that we want to be here and this is going to be the last job that we have."Leipold said he spoke with Kansas AD Travis Goff earlier this week about his first two and a half years at KU since he was hired in the spring of 2021. "I was talking with Travis Goff on Monday and he said 'Can you believe it's only been two and a half years.' I said, well in many ways it feels like five or more because of the progress of the team on the field but also how comfortable our family is, being welcomed by everybody and how much we just enjoy being here," Leipold said.Leipold has led a swift turnaround during his firs three seasons as head coach. KU went 2-10 in his first year after Leipold was hired after spring practice in 2021. Fall camp was the first time Leipold and his staff were able to work with players in an official capacity. KU endured a long losing streak before the Jayhawks upset Texas for the program's first ever win in Austin. In Year 2, KU started off 5-0 and hosted ESPN's College GameDay for the first time. An injury to Jalon Daniels contributed to KU's struggles in the second half of the season, where KU went 1-6 but achieved bowl eligibility for the first time since 2008.In 2023, KU has been a more consistent team. KU started the season off 4-0 and is now 7-2 on the season, with KU defeating Oklahoma and Iowa State in the last two weeks. The win over Oklahoma was KU's first this century and its win over Iowa State was its first since 2008.In an interview with reporters on Wednesday, Goff said he believes the KU program is set up for long-term success under Leipold."You're always trying to make sure you can dissect and understand, is this just a great moment? Or is this something that can be great for the long haul? And I think these past couple of weeks really indicate this is something that can be great for the long haul."
  11. You might consider cutting the kid a little slack.
  12. And yet I was 5 years past my required OK history class before learning of Greenwood and black Wall St. Improper subject matter for those 13 yo minds apparently.
  13. I don't always use 75' of chain to snatch a vehicle out, but when I do, I double it up. So close to a Darwin Award.
