  1. I know we didn’t light up up the scoreboard in the second half, but what a breath of fresh air to see the guys execute and not do stupid stuff in critical moments. Hopefully this will catapult us forward a bit.
  2. Two 3rd and long conversions on that drive. Things are looking up.
  3. Guys, we just converted a 3rd and long! What?
  4. So much this. His offenses seem to be getting worse and worse. Read the writing on the wall.
  5. So far, there is one team on the field today that looks buttoned up and pays attention to detail . . . which is especially crucial in tight games.
  6. Our poor defenses the last 2-1/2 seasons have been so solid but seem like they are always on the field.
  7. Sark not designing a run game that includes the QB to keep defenses honest is just malpractice, especially with a kid that can scoot.
  8. Just kinda hoped he’d learn from experience and get better . . . pain is supposed to be a good teacher. Intelligent people keep learning. Nobody expected us to give up 29 today, while 21 or 24 was probably about what we thought we’d score. Florida executed enough simple concepts today and their athletes made enough plays to somehow score on five drives. Something that has only happened against Texas a few times in 2-1/2 seasons.
  9. With all that we lost to the NFL last year it did seem like this would likely be a rebuilding year of sorts. The most disappointing thing is that Sark’s last two teams had the pieces to win it at all and we missed the opportunity.
  10. Not only is our offensive line not very athletic, but the easiest little twists and shifts by Florida’s front four have them completely on their heels. What kind of looks are we showing them in practice?
  11. Been a minute since these guys have seen real athletes on the other side of the ball, especially on the DLine.
  12. 3rd down conversions are so fun . . . I miss them.
  13. I love offensive lines . . . . I’d like to have one some day.
  14. UTEP even being in position to kick an onside kick is just a kick to the nuts
  15. UTEP can open up a huge hole on the goal line and we cannot. SMH
  16. At least we broke a racial barrier today. We should all be proud. Good on you Texas. Good on you.
  17. Man, whatever they’ve been doing throughout the Spring and Summer has not prepared this offense to execute. So many missed blocks. Receivers not able to create separation. Arch’s timing, accuracy and vision completely gone. They look so unprepared.
  18. This offense is so gross
  19. Dang, Oregon looks big, physical and fast.
  20. I am starting to wonder if demonic forces are involved in our woes inside the 15 yard line. Sark needs an exorcist. His inability to dial up scores close to the end zone is one of life’s great mysteries.
  21. I’m glad we have a few games for this OL to grow up before the swamp. Continuity in the run game scheme is lacking. Pretty ugly.
  22. What is more frustrating? The realization that we can’t score against good teams inside the 5 yard line or the lack of awareness of our weakness with respect to how important it is to come away with 3 pts on drives early in games . . . games that are bound to be one-possession ball games at the end? Say we attempt three FGs on those 4th down calls and miss one of them (I can’t remember how far into their territory we were on one of the failed conversions; two were chip shots). We’re still only needing to get into FG range on that last drive to have a chance to win it. When you have a great defense, FGs matter . . . one of the luxuries of having a great defense
  23. OSU has championship DNA. We do not, YET. Day is a great coach and his team is the measuring stick until they’re not. Hopefully we come out of this hungrier, knowing what it’s going to take. Things will slow down for Arch. That was a very talented defense he played against today and it just took him too long to settle in. Sark still sucks around the goal line, which is hard to fathom.
  24. On the play where Arch scrambled for a first down, I’m pretty sure two of the receivers on his left side would’ve been ineligible
  25. Wisner running with purpose.
