  1. I can’t recall good Texas teams that were unable to capitalize on great defensive performances and bury teams like these Sark teams. And I really really like Sark. Just a very concerning trend.
  2. Ought to be up 21-0 on these jokers already.
  3. Flood + Veteran Oline = whiffing on basic stunts and blitzes. How is that a thing? Coach ‘em up or get smarter guys in there. Geez.
  4. I’m sure we’re all frustrated to have such a great defense but still struggle to put teams away because our “juggernaut” offense with a seasoned QB still has not taken form. I do wonder if the title Sark was a part of with Bama made him a little stubborn since they were able to win with a statue playing QB. Of the top 11 offenses in CFB, all but two of them have effective runners at QB. Whether they are more decisive and elusive when things break down or if the QB run game is a staple of their offense, it’s pretty clear that mobile QBs keep the chains moving. Seems like incorporating a sprinkle of QB run into the scheme or at least encouraging the QB to go grab 5 or 10 yards when it’s there could help significantly. I do hope when Arch is the starter that Sark uses his legs to keep defenses honest. These A-gap blitzes we keep seeing would decrease if teams knew the QB was prone to pull the read and run off-tackle.
  5. Beamer and the offensive staff is keeping aggsy in this game. Could have easily used a whole extra 90 seconds on that drive.
  6. QB delay lead draw. Let those ends get up field and let Rocket lead the QB through the hole.
  7. Wow, Beamer really is not good at game management.
  8. Yeah . . .so incredibly painfully true
  9. Reed is going to be a problem for a few years. Smart player. He’s careful with the football. When the first or second read isn’t there, he’s decisive and devastating with his legs. Perfect QB for Klein’s system.
  10. LSU looks a lot like Texas
  11. Man, I miss having an offense that makes a defense respect the QB run. It opens up so much.
  12. The way this game is gone. It sure feels like they’re gonna get this on sidekick.
  13. Man, some of thes holding calls seem a little sketchy
  14. Need to steal a first down here by letting Quinn keep on the zone read. Defenses don’t respect it.
  15. Yep, those games were hanging by a thread. Could’ve easily lost all three.
  16. Vandy 14 points on two INTs Texas 0 points on two turnovers.
  17. Mismanagement of pivotal situations and wasting turnovers almost seem like trademarks of this team the last few years.
  18. Seems like Sark’s teams don’t like to capitalize on turnovers. It’s maddening.
  19. It is likely deeper than just simple alignment tells. A good D-coordinator through enough study tries to manipulate the play-call to their advantage by knowing the audible tendencies of an opponent. They show a defensive look, Quinn receives the play-call and adjusts right into what the defense wants him to do because we’ve hurt teams with the same adjustment in previous games. That was likely happening quite a bit last Saturday.
  20. Offenses that run a zone-read concept but never have the QB pull it baffle me. Kind of defeats the purpose of the “read” part.
  21. Hopefully this loss will serve the big picture for this group. Now they know where the bar is. They hadn’t played a team with these kinds of athletes yet this year. Cam and Banks need to put in some work to get us where we want to go. They got abused tonight.
  22. Not incorporating zone read concepts with Arch moving forward would be a travesty. The guy can scoot and you have to keep the edge defenders and LBs honest.
  23. Smart and the UGA defensive staff way ahead of Sark. UGA much more physical at the LOS. Ewers not seeing open receiverrs, looks lost. Missing Baxter tonight more than any other game.
  24. Is Casey Thompson really worse than these two jokers?
