  1. This is beginning to feel like one of those games where the post-game is every talking head rolling out their favorite cliches about football being won on the lines. I like our side of that conversation.
  2. Scipio and Randy Boone on the EGAT podcast are a great listen when they get around to posting it. I can't keep straight the drama with the $9.95ers, so good luck or condolences or both to those guys.
  3. Sits upon the Puget Sound, which does not actually make sounds.
  4. Well, this whole thing is just who knows who. Then over here, you have favoritism. -H.I.
  5. You can see the regret in his reluctant sway. The sad realization that his career as a head coach will end with a bunch of imbeciles playing Nazi youth cosplay around him.
  6. <arsenio hall spittake.gif>
  7. Their capacity to continue to raise the bar of self-humiliation is just astounding. Also, firing JimBob after getting rolled in Oxford makes sense. And that's precisely why they won't do it. That and how the hell are they going to raise $100M+ for buyout/signing bonus for the next jamoke?
  8. Dude... Ron Prince stomping around on the sideline like he's The Whiz is burned into the worst of my permanent memories. I still get white hot with rage when I think about that moment and that period of Texas football.
  9. Kiffin is the closest thing to Steve Spurrier that exists today. I'm glad he exists, and that he's leading a different program than the one I root for.
  10. I'm still pissed and will never fucking forgive them. And I was irate seeing them put the Oiler uniforms on the Titans this past weekend.
  11. I'm surprised there has not yet been a Bill & Ted reference.
  12. Everyone thinks this guy is going to be a home run in the league. I keep thinking he's going to flame out, lacking mental toughness and enough humility to realize he has to earn his stripes. What the fuck do I know though? I'd likely get fired for being the GM who passed on him, but I can't see making that pick right now.
  13. Baylor. They are trash, and we need to beat them convincingly.
  14. Re: Yormark and this clown conference
  15. My eyes are going, but did I see their twitter handles on their backs where their last names would normally be?
  16. Tommy Rees kind of telegraphed this one by making comments about how Milroe and the other guy are still competing/hadn't given up. Nevermind, I confused him with the Notre Dame transfer kid. Whatever. Don't make a shit, etc...
  17. The trickle of info will soon become a flood. By the end of the week, Tom Rinaldi (not fired?) will be in Evanston with the soft focus lens. Bye Pat.
  18. 100% agree. That said, once these platforms can solve the context window issues it seems like a lot of the rote text work like building a simple crud app, or writing a script to connect to API will be easily generated by an LLM. My guess, purely speculative, is that the lower level software engineers and similar will be replaced by LLM outputs in under 5 years. To that end, an interesting experiment would be something like: take the last two seasons of articles from one of the $9.95ers, use them to refine one of the existing models, and then feed it game stats and text transcripts of every Texas football related Youtube video. I wonder if it could spit out similar drivel without the overhead of the staff. Make it $8.95... profit.
  19. Didn't ESPN do a whole hour-long piece on OU being the Team of the Century that year? People will remember the undefeated season, but not nearly as much as TCU getting run through like DGs after Anchor Splash.
  20. Kicker U, maybe we can hang on to that one for a while?
  21. Came here to post that exact "Maybe they..." line and glad it was already here. This point spread is about as dumb as our offense last night.
  22. I'm so fucking old. Is he trying to get some ass with a public PSA or something? Or did he DM someone and they put him on blast? I'll hang up my Nokia 6160 and listen.
  23. This. Over and over. Everybody loves to hate Texas after they refuse to work with us.
  24. He's not. I know for a fact that he's in Florence. And he told me he's tight with a lot of moms at lunch the other day.
