  1. Saw a bottle of Michter’s 10yr in Dillon, Co....was excited until I saw a price of $170.
  2. Picked up a couple at the baseball game Friday night. $40 included a mixed drink, which is normally $13. So you are basically getting the Yeti for $27, which is less than the non-logo ones. So pretty good deal (in relative terms). As an aside - when did they start selling liquor in the general public concessions and will they do the same at football games? The pours were strong and I would rather choke down a few bourbons than $10 12 oz cans of Zoe.
  3. Spent at least 3 nights a week at the Coppertank...I miss $1 pint nights slurping Dow White Tail Pale Ale, the Brown Ale or Copper Stout. Or when hammered, getting the “Big Party.”
  4. Found this while looking for some old ski clothes. 1996 Texas Brewers Festival - me and a buddy won 1st place in the home brew stout category for an Irish Stout. Not many of these left!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I was at HEB a little while ago and this old fart did exactly that, took about 4 times forward/back before he was straight. And for the record - HEB was open.
  6. Asshats who always back in to parking spots. At my office, the jerkwads who back up traffic in the parking garage in the morning so they can back into their spots. Woohoo, when you leave you’ll be out 5 seconds quicker! Screw the 3 cars waiting on your ass.
  7. Going to have to disagree with you on this one. You are calling others dickface for parking in a spot? If you plan on loading stuff into the back of your vehicle, don’t do the pull through parking job!
  8. People who turn their hazards on while driving in the rain.
  9. Just left Steamboat Bill’s, good recommendation. Was a bit worried at first that I was in tourist trap hell, but the oyster poboy was legit. Yelled “Muledick” but nobody responded. See you Surly bastards at Erin House. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Wife (no pics) & I bought a house on the outskirts of FB earlier this summer. We try to get out there 1 weekend a month and are renting it out on Vacasa/AirBnB the rest of the time. Agreed on the necessity of dinner reservations - outside of pizza at Socia Hauz (pretty good), Burger Burger or the Fredericksburg Brewery, just about everywhere else will have a long wait. Vaudeville is a cool place to go and Hilltop Cafe has been mentioned. Silver Creek is one of our favorites also. Some of our favorite wineries that require reservations are Calais (went yesterday, very cool to have the winemaker pour your wine), Alexander and Kuhlman. Places you can just drop in that are decent include Lost Draw, Hilmy and Pedernales. As others have mentioned, Alamo Springs Cafe, Enchanted Rock, Luckenbach and Ladybird Johnson golf course are fun excursions nearby.
  11. Good week of wine thus far. Teeter-Totter and Mercury Head cabs being the most expensive. The J Lohr Hilltop Cab was a standout over Heitz and Silver Oak in a blind tasting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Just realized my stepfather has been drinking my Blanton’s for the past 3 days....with coke. Fuck!
  13. Austin Wine Merchant has a good stock of Eagle Rare @$30.
  14. Headed to Colorado for spring break. Staying in Silverthorne. Originally was planning on skiing Keystone for all 3 days, but have heard good things about Copper. My wife & I ski mainly blues & easier blacks, but it will be our 9 year olds first trip. Which would be better for him to learn how to snowboard but also fun for us?
  15. NYE dinner options - Luke, Delmonico Steakhouse, or Meril? We reserved a late lunch at NOLA on game day.
  16. Where was this? I just picked up a bottle at Spec’s (Arbor Walk) for $54. In the glass case up front, they have a couple more if interested, along with Kentucky Owl if anyone wants to spend $180. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Thinking of opening an account, newbie to sports betting (I’ve only done FFL and daily fantasy to this point.). What tips do you have (besides saving my money)? Is it still illegal? Easy to move money in/out? Most trustworthy sites? Thanks!
  18. We like to sleep in, have a late breakfast and start hitting the tasting rooms by 11. Hit 2 spots and goto lunch to help stay sober. Dry Creek General Store or Oakville Grocery are 2 favorites. (Dry Creek usually has some bottles of Pliny too!). Grab a picnic lunch and head to the next winery. Healdsburg and Calistoga are two of our favorite towns in the world. Emeritus and Pappapietro Perry for Pinot. Benovia is also a great one. Iron Horse is a beautiful outdoor tasting. Hit 3 or 4 in the afternoon and stumble into town for dinner. Never had a problem driving, just gotta pace yourself, split tastings and plan your route to be close to the hotel at your last couple of spots. Farmhouse Inn is a great dining experience without the French Laundry price tag. Also Madrona Manor for dinner or a fancy cocktail to end the day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Cross posting from the “holy shit” thread, because I said both: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
