  1. I wouldn't call that a 'tackle' by Davante. He just kind of caressed him a little
  2. LHN commercials are unwatchable after the 5th time. Christ. All those poor songs don't deserve to be ruined.
  3. 14-3 good guys. 94 yard TD drive 9:53 2nd.
  4. Ingram. Wow. Silky Smooth should be his nickname
  5. 16 yards on two runs. Nice
  6. Helluva play by LJH
  7. Almost a 94 yard TD pass Almost
  8. I guess he just really wants to wear that jacket
  9. I feel like the rest of the Big 12 conspires against us and intentionally lose to OU to let them win the conference championship every year. How else do you explain Gundy and Leach and Holgorson and Snyder and Pellini and Mangino losing to Stoops every year? And Oklahoma State? Can't they ever give us even a LITTLE help? I mean how do you play a winning game and then miss an XP, setting up the need for a 2pt conversion, and then the 45 year old QB that's been nails all game chooses that moment to throw it in the dirt? Stupid Cowboys teams choking away OU games.
  10. I'm probably in the minority here but I really miss the Thanksgiving day game. I'm not a native Texan, but I became a Texas fan at a young age watching Thanksgiving day football with my family. My dad and older brother liked the Longhorns. My dad was a fan of DKR. It was a bonding time and it made an emotional connection for me at an early age. Same with the Cowboys but I've always preferred college ball. The slate of games on turkey day just isn't exciting, and it's a missed opportunity to get in people's living rooms and make new fans.
  11. I love it. 10 years though.
  12. Hager's a pass rusher by nature and by design. Guys like him try to get to the QB but all their movement creates holes to run through. He's not a good anchor for a D line.
  13. Man this dude is unstable and needs help. Anyone that's been through a divorce knows how it's like, so to an extent I understand. But someone needs to tackle his ass and break his fingers and drop his electronics in a bathtub and save him from himself.
  14. Final Score: W 41-34 First Downs: Texas – 28 TTU – 32 Third Down Conversions Texas – 8-16 TTU – 10-15 Total Yards: Texas - 469 TTU - 595 Passing: Texas – 22-34, 312 yds, 3TD TTU - 38-48, 454 yards, 3TD Rushing: Texas - 48-157, 3.3 ypc, 2TD TTU - 33-141, 4.3 ypc, 2TD TOP Texas – 33:08 TTU – 26:52 Turnovers: Texas - 0 TTU - 3 Penalties: Texas – 6-59 TTU – 8-89 Another game I wasn't able to watch, but I was able to listen on the radio at least. First take, TTU absolutely mauled our defense. Without the turnovers we lose. Herman and Orlando need to find a way to stop the bleeding. Further review: I'm glad we're limiting penalties (second game in a row we've had fewer than our opponent), and it's amazing how consistent our offensive production is from game to game. This team is on Ehlinger's back 100%. He's our ball control. He's our 1st down conversions. He's our final drive to win the game.
  15. I was high on Carter last year. I don't follow a lot of the gossip but it sounds like he's had some off the field issues. Shame. I was excited to see him play more.
  16. I'm not an OG Trump supporter, but I wanted to peek the politics page today and this looked fun, so here's my go: 1. Fire Robert Mueller - won't happen, because nothing against Trump personally or damaging to him directly is going to surface. Or he would have acted already. Or it would have been leaked. 2. Fire Rosenstein and meddle in/try to stop the Russia, etc. investigation - Rosenstein maybe should be fired. But seriously, he's resisted this long. 3 Refuse to comply with lawful subpoenas from the Democratic House – for, e.g., his tax returns - Lots of presidents have defied subpoenas. Obama most recently. Depends on what it's about. Personal tax returns? Don't care. Turning over proof of skulduggery or corruption at an institutional level? Care very much. 4 Refuse to comply with a Supreme Court ruling - that would be a problem. Constitutional crises are bad. But several presidents have defied federal courts before. Not to pick on 44, but he did it a few times. So, it depends on the case and how badly it jams up the works. 5. Piss tape – what if there really is one? What if it becomes public? - It would've happened already. But really, who cares. It's Donald Trump. He's been living the life for decades. 6. Piss tape, part 2: What if Putin has been blackmailing him about the tape, or something else, and he really is a Russian puppet? - Giving Putin a shitload of credit for a mediocre leader of a second-rate country, but okay. Has it benefited the USA vis-a-vis cheap gas prices or Mid East policy or in any other tangible way? If not, screw him. 7. Start a war - really? I mean, name a President that hasn't started a war. Trump is disarming North Korea and stomped ISIS into a hole, but if he wants to start a war he's got plenty of options. 8. Disband Congress - Constitutional crisis. Lincoln did it to Maryland but I guess he had a pretty good excuse...but still people brush it aside like it was nothing. 9. Institute martial law - This has got to be satire. As a vet, this is just hilarious. Maybe he could do it with someone else's military. Honestly, I feel like this is an emotional post-election hangover for you. You're ascribing malevolent motives to people because you're angry. So here are some definite absolute red lines that would make me vote Beto in 2020: 10. Raise taxes 11. 1-2% or lower annual GDP growth 12. stagnant wages, high unemployment 13. cause health care costs to go up for consumers, or enact single payer. Either one 14. cause utility costs to go up for consumers, or mandate expensive energy sources 15. otherwise impede my rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
  17. We're in wait-and-see mode. We're saving this thread in case things go bad.
  18. I just came to say that Saban will always own Orgeron, just like he owned Les. LSU has some great players, but like always, they allow their talent to win for them. It works against most teams, but not Bama. They never show up disciplined, well-coached, or with a coherent game plan. They just don't know what to do when Saban is aware of their tendencies and matches them talent for talent. I knew this game was over after the first quarter. Burrow and the offense were already flailing. I turned it to the TTU-OU game until Bowman went out and the Tech offense went belly up. Went to bed early and got some good sleep.
  19. Not that this helps, but we've lost 3 games this year by a total of 9 points. We're 4-3 in games decided by a score or less.
  20. Final Score: L 41-42 First Downs: Texas – 28 WVU – 28 Third Down Conversions Texas – 6-11 WVU – 7-12 Total Yards: Texas - 520 WVU - 578 Passing: Texas – 25-36, 354 yds, 3TD WVU - 28-42, 346 yards, 3TD Rushing: Texas - 39-166, 4.3 ypc, 2TD WVU - 33-232, 7.0 ypc, 2TD TOP Texas – 34:00 WVU – 26:00 Turnovers: Texas - 1 WVU - 0 Penalties: Texas – 7-64 WVU – 14-120 This was a close game all around, and we had a chance to win. It feels like 2009 Lubbock to me. They kept it close and got the ball last with too much time and just did their thing. Them's the breaks. It was one of our best games concerning penalties, but allowing 7 yards per carry and giving up 232 yards on the ground.....fuck.
  21. Sorry for posting this late but it's a tradition for me and I'm always interested to read the relevant stat lines and see if it tells a story about the game that I may have missed while I watched it. Going into the game, this is the first game we've played that I had a terrible feeling about. I had a feeling we would lose. Looking at the stats, it's apparent that our defense was just abused by Cornelius, Wallace, Hill, and Gundy. Allowing 502 yards of offense without any takeaways isn't a recipe for success. The TOP also surprised me. It's the first game where we haven't controlled the pace of the game. Final Score: L 35-38 First Downs: Texas – 24 OSU – 27 Third Down Conversions Texas – 5-12 OSU – 10-20 Total Yards: Texas - 402 OSU - 502 Passing: Texas – 22-42, 283 yds, 2TD OSU - 23-34, 321 yards, 3TD Rushing: Texas - 30-119, 4.0 ypc, 3TD OSU - 51-181, 3.5 ypc, 2TD TOP Texas – 25:32 OSU – 34:28 Turnovers: Texas: 0 OSU: 0 Penalties: Texas – 11-86 OSU – 4-52
  22. I think it's about the Jimmy's and Joe's with Herman. Last year he was gifted a nice defense and a poor offense, and an especially atrocious O line. This year due to the improvement of Sam, LJH, CJ9, fewer injuries in August, and Herman's recruitment of Anderson and Ingram, the O has turned around. As for defense, if Hill, Elliott, and Jefferson had come back this year....it's undeniable that we would be better. But we lost quality starters and now we don't have quality depth. Next year will be a different story.
