  1. I don't care how we win, just so we win. We're fast approaching my 8 win prediction and I don't want us to get too cocky.
  2. I'm a fan of the four team playoff as is. There are usually only 3-5 top flight teams any given year. The BCS left them out too many times. An 8-team playoff would water it down too much, like it does in FCS. The committee is better than sheer voting but its miles better than the crappy autobids were.
  3. That never happened, and never would happen. The bowls aren't going away. There are even regular season 'bowls' at 'neutral sites' regularly. The BCS.
  4. Having a playoff with autobids for conference champions is a shittastic idea. Were you alive during the BCS era? Some crappy team knocked off an undefeated conference opponent in the championship game every year. It made the BCS bowls shitty and it would make the playoffs shitty too. 1998: 10-2 Texas aTm beat 11-0 Kansas St and lost in the Sugar Bowl. 1999: 8-3 Stanford won the Pac. 2000: 8-3 Purdue won the Big 10. 2001: 9-3 LSU won the SEC 2002: 9-4 Florida State won the ACC 2003: KANSAS STATE 2004: 8-3 Pitt won the Big East 2005: 8-4 Florida State won the ACC 2006: 11-2 Wake Forest beat 9-4 Georgia Tech to win the ACC 2007: LSU, first 2 loss BCS Champion 2008: 9-4 Virginia Tech won the ACC This goes on and on and on. Anyone who wants autobids for conference champs needs to get the thought out of their heads.
  5. The Big 12 lost the PR war because it was TCU and Baylor against Ohio State. Just like when Oklahoma State went against Alabama in 2011. The committee members are dipshits like everyone else. A one-loss blue blood is always going to top a one-loss Mike Jones. Oklahoma and Texas won't have that problem. We saw that in 2004.
  6. There was entertainment in all directions, for sure
  7. He made a couple good plays that I saw, but he kept on getting sucked in on runs and losing contain letting fast dudes get outside and to the sideline. Watched that happen twice on long runs. Granted I haven't watched film of it so I can't say what was going on with the rest of the defense, but that's how it looked from my seat. The last three TDs were run to the left - Davis's - side.
  8. I blame Davante Davis for two of those. There was a reason OU kept running those plays to his side.
  9. That's not how this works. Kentucky is SEC. Any SEC team that defeats a ranked SEC team is also ranked, and the ranked team drops but not out of the rankings. Because SEC

  14. I've never seen Texas dominate an OU team the way we did for the middle 45 or so minutes of that game. Once we started to make Murray beat us with his arm and kept their speed guys in front of us, OU had nothing. They couldn't score, and they couldn't stop us. The 4th quarter was junk all around but that's on our coaches for going too conservative against a dangerous team. Hopefully that's a lesson learned. But when we needed to score to win, we drove right down and did it. Domination, even at 48-45.
