This is true, and frankly I don't understand how world class athletes smoke on a regular basis and maintain the lung health and capacity required for their jobs.
Can you imagine these guys puffing away on Camels? I mean, many of the same carcinogens, irritants, and other lung-damaging toxins that tobacco has are in marijuana too. Including tar.
I never enjoyed it, so I don't get it in the first place, but that part of it always seemed odd to me.
Lol. Depending on the franchise...
But yeah, it's not impossible to walk on to an NFL squad. Incredibly rare, but not impossible.
The only thing they care about is what you can do for them, and if you can do something for them not much else matters.
Armanti will probably have a shot somewhere. But if a guy only shines when it's on his terms, employers can be reluctant to hire him.
Look man there's rules, you know?
You never get married:
- On a Saturday in the fall in the south
- On opening weekend of hunting season (duck and deer certainly)
- On Mardi Gras weekend
And if you're invited on one of those dates then you're only obligated to go:
- If it's immediate family (and there will be a reckoning)
- Dad/Mom say you need to
And if your wife is turning the screws to get you to go:
- See what you can get in trade, or
- Misbehave to the point she thinks twice next time
Uh. As a weakside backer he'll be doing plenty of that. With his speed it would be surprising if he isn't a pass rusher.
His major weakness is pass coverage, and a lot of scouts identified his lack of a killer instinct (alpha qualities I read) and his tendency to get blocked.
I wonder if part of it is skipping the bowl game.
Would've given him an extra game against good competition. Most of the top guys played their bowls, even the ones without anything to play for but pride.
Someone said that players play.
Dickson was the only one that didn't leave any question about his ability.
Hopefully TH and staff can use this in the future when guys are being told to leave early and get the money. They'll have a counterpoint to say, oh really you think you're a lock?
It was Pete Prisco on the underrated/overrated bit.
Maybe it's still our rep. Malcom Brown went to the SB last year. Jordan Hicks got a ring. Diggs and Vaccaro aren't slouches. But maybe.
Whatever it is about Connor the scouts saw something that cost him a lot of spots. Lots of lineman drafted before he was.
Malik went about where expected.
