  1. R votes R, D votes D, and the folks in the middle who apparently don't understand they are voting on their basic right to vote just want an alternative between a fossil and a criminal. Kamala gets the war chest, steps into the candidacy easily and carries the black and women votes. Prefer Whitmer but Harris has the money this late in the race.
  2. For all you WNBA haters. Watching a game the other day and someone throws up a wedgie. The center for Dallas tried to get it down but nope, couldn't quite pull it off. They went and got a broom.
  3. Holy fuck. The Clark effect is for reals.
  4. Clark not hitting, but her passing is keeping them in the game. You absolutely see her teammates learning to make the difficult pass, just not as adept at it as Clark. I don't expect this to be close late, but hope it is. Really fun game with a packed house.
  5. Yeah, I think so too. I love me some Mitchell but....
  6. Thanks for posting the line-up. Yeah, the 3 from the Fever really stood out. I took that to be fan voting for Caitlin's team. DiJonai's play was certainly deserving. Reese and Clark, get the popcorn ready.
  7. Womens. Actually they didn't come into the NBA as rookies and garnered far more attention and outside contracts than the all star vets already there. The WNBA exploded when Clark showed up, not so when Luka joined the league. The black women looked around and wondered why was Caitlin getting all this attention and they didn't. Certainly understandable. I think they are slowly coming around to the massive benefits of the Clark effect.
  8. Clark and Reese both on the All Star team together. This could be interesting.
  9. Yes they are! Aces get Gray back and returning to form.
  10. Angel is a rookie and weighs 165. She's getting contested in the paint by Wilson 195, BG 205, Hamby 189, Jonquel Jones 215 and Teaira McCowan 239 etc. She's 6'3" -- BG is 6'9" McCowan 6"7" What worked at LSU doesn't work now, she will figure it out. She is already a great rebounder and will be a great player. I'm just hoping she keeps her focus on basketball.
  11. Yeah, not always a fan of Angel’s maturity level, but she is rapidly becoming a star in the W. Definitely earned a slot in the all star game. Has been playing much better, much sooner than I thought, rookie of the year selection will be interesting.
  12. It's Crohn's disease and can be a real bummer, very sorry to hear that. The Sparks taking some hits lately.
  13. Followed on Prime by Caitlin and the Fever vs the Seattle Storm featuring Texas-ex Joyner Holmes. 9pm
  14. Damn, just traded for her a month ago. 2020 WNBA Rookie of the year. Dream at 11 on the roster, maybe clearing space for Celeste? Please? Would love to have Taylor on the Aces but I don't see that happening either.
  15. Dantas was already on the roster, just with a suspended (family death, visa issues, knee injury) contract which allowed the Fever to carry 13 players when the WNBA teams are only allowed 12. So, someone had to go. Dantas, not really an enforcer but a good player. The question is not, why did you cut Celeste over Damiris, it’s why did you keep Victaria Saxton – like Dantas, also a forward. Saxton - 10 minutes and 3 points total on the year. At least give Taylor a try, you need defense and she was the B10 defensive player of the year. Angel did torch the Fever and Celeste wouldn’t be guarding her, so perhaps they decided to keep all their forwards and try to find a solution to that problem. I definitely have a Celeste Taylor bias though, I hope she finds a spot in the league.
  16. Remember when Yao Ming joined the Rockets? "Back in 2007, when Yao Ming played his first NBA game with the Houston Rockets, more than 200 million people in China were watching. Today, over 500 million people in China watch NBA basketball." If Ms. Ziyu showed up adding to Clark's numbers the WNBA might need a bigger boat.
  17. She has the vision and skills to be the best passer, but the "best passer" can't also be leading the league in turnovers. But......a good number of those TO are due to the teammates not fielding a catchable ball so maybe so. I've always liked Chelsea Gray on the Aces (and the Olympic Roster) as well:
  18. Celeste Taylor is also a rookie on the Fever, she played ball at Texas, but left. One of my favorite players, I hope she gets some burn, seems really talented and a great young lady. Clark best not quit her day job.
  19. This may be true but I don't see it in the interviews. Mitchell and her seem tight. "On Wednesday, the Fever secured an 88-81 victory over the Washington Mystics. Following the game, Clark faced the media, who questioned her about improving her “off-target passes” moving forward. Before she could respond, Aliyah Boston intervened to defend her teammate. “It’s okay. It’s alright. It’s alright,” Clark’s teammate said to her. “Don’t worry, because you look at Caitlin and you look at the way she passes the ball and so sometimes things are going to happen that way and that’s okay because we’re not going to let her hang her head. “We’re not going to hang our head off of any missed passes because we’re still continuing to gel together and we know that she’s a great passer, so if she thinks she can get that ball there, she’s going to throw it. And if I miss it, then it’s we’re good. We’re alright. Don’t worry. We’re good.”
  20. Caitlin Clark on if she wished she would have taken more shots late: “I mean, sure, you can wish it. I’m sure there was an opportunity or two for me to probably attempt another shot there at the end, but I trust my teammates… I’m gonna give them the ball every time.” Seems to me that Clark is passing up shots to get her teammates involved. For this young team growing the whole group may be more important than hero-balling them to a win. Boston is getting better and better and you can directly tie that to Clark feeding Aliyah the ball at her favorite spots.
  21. Men are bigger, faster, stronger, more coordinated. Would you advocate then to disband all women's sports?
  22. Absolutely. Try to run it through Boston as much as possible, Aliyah is really coming on strong now. Also helps to have a trio with cat-quick Kelsey Mitchell. Mitchell is really fun to watch and compliments the skills of the other two.
