  1. They are at 41% from three we are at 18% after shaylee's prayer
  2. Vic keeping Shaylee out there with three fouls. Need her offense.
  3. 10% from three, 1 for 10. Hit a decent amount of those and we'd be fine.

  5. Vic: “For whatever reason we didn’t have an answer and a lot of it had to do with what’s inside the breastplate. I think it’s real clear to me. We didn’t have it tonight and we got what we deserved.” Gave credit multiple times to Texas Tech players – focused and played hard. They asked about Harmon's assists and Vic said that’s great but she and Shaylee went 10 for 32 for the two guard spots. Said he thought the stats might be a little off – especially in the turnovers. Thought Sonya was credited for some of Rori’s TOs which seems right. “Not one of our kids can walk out of the room and say I played really well tonight.” “We just made so many mental mistakes defensively we absolutely were not the same team we had been. We had this same game at Oklahoma State.” “We had 6 new players out of ten and chemistry is always a challenge” “We guarded our men’s practice team a lot better than we guarded Tech” “We didn’t seem to have the focus tonight, De got in foul trouble early because she was having to bail out guards getting driven on. But to me it comes down to energy and effort, Tech had a lot more energy. Tech played harder and tougher That’s nobody’s fault but my own.” “I’m not pleased with our lack of toughness tonight” Sonya did tweak her ankle. “Tech defensively inside gave our players fits. We could really get anything done down there tonight.” Said the 30 to 6 free throw disparity spoke volumes to tech aggressiveness and our lack of aggressiveness. Said he didn’t think I’ve ever been in a game before that was like that (30 to 6) but it was their aggressiveness. So, he thought it was all on the team’s effort and toughness. Nothing about X’s and O’s. Nice to be able to hear the questions from the press. I guess Tech has more money for interview equipment. (sarcasm)
  6. Vic got out-coached on this one. Gerlich's game plan worked from the get-go and Vic never changed anything. Not just a player effort thing. The game had the same flow and pattern from the beginning to end no matter who was on the floor. Spent way too much time trying to get it into the bigs inside only to turn it over or miss, run down the court and foul someone going to the cup. Free throws and repeat. 22 points at the line to 2 is pathetic. We have way more talent than they do but were ineffective. Vic should have tried a zone to shake it up – change the tenor of the game. Try something, because what we were doing wasn't working.
  7. Yeah, the fouls were legit. We have taken 54 shots to their 41, the difference is their 14 points at the line. Both teams shooting about 41%
  8. Rori shooting 5 for 15, Shaylee 4 for 13 So many things going wrong and we're still not out of it.
  9. Bad foul by the freshman Ugly first half. Gotta get the offense going.
  10. Gaston with 2 fouls. Should get easy looks at three's with them doubling Taylor. Not shooting the long ball well though 1 for 8. Playing Tech's game right now. Shaylee and Sonya should feast on this team.
  11. No. And when the offense bogs down that's easily our best option.
  12. Bohls today: "On a mission. If Rodney Terry guides this Texas men’s basketball team to, say, the Elite Eight or Final Four, how would the Longhorns brass not seriously consider him as the permanent replacement for the ousted Chris Beard? Here’s the pros of doing that. Entering Tuesday night’s Iowa State game, he’s 8-1 since taking over the reins (one win over a ranked team) and is proving himself every game. While the team hasn’t always looked great (three bad first halves in a row at home), he and the team should be judged by the final results even if Beard put it together, and they’re in second place in the Big 12. The players clearly believe in him, trust him and like him. That’s no small point. Terry’s anything but uptight in his new role, totally at ease and open with the media, actually returns a text unlike his predecessor and so far has passed nearly every test. Athletic director Chris Del Conte always preaches stability and continuity, so Terry has that in his favor as well. Don’t underestimate the value of Terry’s experienced staff because Bob Donewald Jr. (11 international teams), Steve McClain (14 years at Wyoming, Illinois-Chicago) and Chris Ogden (three years at UTA) have all been head coaches. … What I’m hearing to date on any coaching search is retired Villanova coach Jay Wright seems perfectly content to stay retired, Kentucky’s John Calipari won’t be seriously considered, Gonzaga’s Mark Few is unlikely to leave the Pacific Northwest and Alabama’s Nate Oats would probably rebuff Texas' overtures because he’s excelling in Tuscaloosa, has less pressure there than he would in Austin, is making good money and is thriving in a community that worships football. Wonder if Texas would make a run at Virginia’s corporate-looking Tony Bennett (a national title, but ultra-slow pace on offense and making $3.6 million) or look at UTEP’s Joe Golding (who beat Texas while at Abilene Christian, but also is a close friend of Beard’s). … So eager is Texas to distance itself from the Beard mess that the school chose to reprint not only about 200 of the yearly team media guides but also the laminated media credentials because both had Beard’s picture on them. Out of sight …"
  13. Some of you aren't posting as much now, I know you jackwagons are getting drunk. Only 9 more minutes to go, try to stay conscious for a change, you wankers. Need to go Timmy old school until the end. That and Rice drives to the cup.
