  1. Gibson needs more carries. Guaranteed yards every time.
  2. I’m watching on delay but knew game was over when I saw Jennings shivering before his first pick six.
  3. 1. They expanded the playoff. 2. The other 3 teams lost their coaches and 2 replaced top 10 draft picks at QB. Happy to be in the playoffs but this isn’t the flex everyone keeps using it as.
  4. The SEC is down this year though. And most pundits talked about how Sark built this team to be SEC ready. We were number 1 in the country then got smacked on national TV and still worked our way back up to number 3. If anything I hope this leads to teams being judge by their team and not the conference they play in.
  5. Think you took that wrong. Okafor and Hills pushed back against the idea that it’s just “hate”. They pointed out the legitimate issues people have with Quinn’s play and that he should expect criticism if he is the starting QB for the longhorns just like Dak gets heat no matter what stats he puts up.
  6. Don’t know if any of yall watch 3rd and longhorn but the host tried to pull the “everyone is hating on Quinn” rant and Jeremy Hills and Alex Okafor shut that nonsense down. Guess they hate Texas and Quinn too 🙄
  7. I’m glad the team isn’t overly reliant on the QB. That’s not just a Quinn thing either. Doesn’t mean the QB should suck just that the team should be able to beat most teams even if the QB has a bad day. I still don’t understand why if Quinn is the best QB on the roster why he wouldn’t also be the best next year with more playoff experience. I can’t see Sark pushing him out if he decided to come back.
  8. Probably has more to do with the fact that he needs to prove he can fight through injuries and actually be available to play to the NFL.
  9. Let’s not diminish Bond because he’s been hurt. When he was healthy he was probably our best skill player on offense and our only game breaker. The receivers in the Georgia game did have a lot of drops but I don’t think it’s fair to say they are meh. The video above probably encapsulates how Sark feels about Quinn throwing over the middle and why when we get in the red zone we throw low percentage but safe passes.
  10. That’s the point. But some are incredulous Quinn is getting criticism because he threw for 300 plus yards. Well by that logic no one should be blaming Bert for the loss because he scored the most points in the game. So you’re right it is asinine. The game was close so individual plays and decisions make the difference in the game. Quinn has the ball every play so he has more direct impact on the outcome than any other player and has the most chances to make mistakes and will make the most mistakes. It’s just the nature of the sport but he also gets the most money, fame and credit for wins no matter how the games go. Ultimately the team wins and loses together but only the QB gets referenced as being 22-4 so the QB play will be heavily scrutinized.
  11. Only one of those posts puts all the blame on Quinn for the loss. This is a thread about Quinn though so the talk will be about him. Most people are blaming the loss on Bert. But according to the logic of some here he shouldn’t get any blame because after all he scored the most points in the game.
