1. OOS kids haven't paid as much attention to the shit sandwich that has been the football team the last 8 years or so. It's easy to sell the potential without getting a response of fatigue because they haven't seen the failures year after year
2. It seems like OOS kids don't care who was in the class before them. They know high rated guys were taken last year, but they don't know them personally and it doesn't seem to impact them. Whereas Texas kids, especially DBs after last year's class, seem to not be as high on Texas in part because of our haul last year. This makes some sense as 2019 kids have gone to all the same camps as the 2018 DBs and probably looked up to those guys. It's a lot harder for someone who's watched guys like Cook, Green, Sterns, Foster, and Jamison compete to have no reservations about playing time. Whereas, an OOS DB doesn't seem to care. It's probably a big part of the reason why we're looking OOS so much in the secondary.
