  1. Rivals might as well just start calling it the "Top 100 guys who have attended our camps. P.S. Bonus points if you're a sooner commit." The only top 100 list I would care less about would be if Kurt Bohls started putting out a Top 100 list. I'd even care more about @futureman's list. Preview: Waddle, Waddle, Waddle, Waddle, Waddle, Waddle, Waddle, Waddle, Waddle, Rashan Gary, Waddle, Waddle, Waddle, Waddle, Waddle, Waddle, Waddle, Waddle, Waddle.
  2. Pretty sure they've always just gotten stoned in California.
  3. You seem to have a fundamental inability to comprehend anything I say. I didn't say anything near what you said. If Herman is encouraging Sam to take hits (like he claims to be in his pressers), that's a bad move and would not be a good sign for Herman as a coach. It would not mandate his firing. If Herman coaches Sam not to take hits and he does it anyway, then that's on Sam, not Herman. It's a pretty straightforward and, should be at least, uncontroversial stance that Sam can't maintain his style of play and his coaches should coach him to not take so many hits. Lulz. Not saying he's anywhere near as good as either of them or even has that similar of a play style, only referring to those guys games as it applies to taking/avoiding hits when running. Russell Wilson, IMO, is pretty much the gold standard for a running QB that doesn't take hits when he runs.
  4. I agree. He will absolutely be a monster in the pick n roll and should be used there a ton, but you're post said you want him near the basket, which is what I was responding to. He can set PnRs just as easily coming from the corner 3 spot as down low. Capella was a big part of hte offense and Bamba can serve that role, but Capella would be better off with a 3 point shot, which is why the idea of Bamba developing his shot is so enticing. Of course Bamba's defense is more important than his 3 point spot. I don't think you could find anyone who would disagree with that, but those aren't mutually exclusive, so I'm not sure what the point is of your last sentence. Bamba can work extensively on his shot and his defense doesn't have to suffer one bit. Also, I don't think Bamba will ever be that great of a post player. He didn't have good hands at UT. He dropped passes and let guys knock the ball away way too easy, he hasn't shown a great feel with post shots, and his lower body strength will never be a plus attribute. I'm just not seeing post offense as much of his value proposition at any point in his career, save a nice little half hook, or similar shot, he can utilize from time to time when matched up on a small guy.
  5. I don't know how you know so much about TX HS football, the state of Texas recruiting, and really national recruiting for that matter, but I really appreciate your contributions. I'd probably prefer to wait it out for a while for some late bloomers like this guy, rather than grab Robinson now. I guess my only question is how many inside line prospects the staff wants this year. IF they want like 3, then I'd be fine with grabbing Robinson now, but if they only want one, or even probably two, I'd prefer to wait and see who pops up senior year. Given how judicious the staff has been with OL offers, especially for interior prospects, my guess is it's more the latter.
  6. This is the only correct response to anyone mentioning Lowell. I think "Aug-dawg" pisses me off more than anything Lowell has ever said, which is quite a feat. Augie is god damn fucking legend. I don't need some dumbass pussy with a fucking stupid haircut and unbelievably punchable face who knows nothing about sports and just throws out nonsensical sports terms as if he's playing bingo to refer to such an accomplished and revered person as "Aug-dawg." Fuck you Lowell! Have some god damn respect!
  7. Glad to hear there's interest in Texas. If we're really going to go after him and have moved on from Bragg, then offering Robinson would be a good start (I'm sure we've already been talking to him but still). It does seems like he's close to committing to aggy. If we offer and get him to hold off his commitment, then I'd feel a lot more optimistic about his recruitment. Also, I don't really consider it playing eeyore, mainly because I'm pretty apathetic about him.
  8. Lulz. Sam has always seemed like a really smart guy and this appears to confirm it. It's what makes me hopeful that if the staff sits down with him and clearly explains that it's better for the team for him to take less hits than it is for him to fight for that extra yard each time (regardless of Herman saying in pressers that he likes the way Sam plays), that he'll be able to change how he plays. Having said that, book intelligence and mental control in the heat of battle are two different things. RGIII could never learn to take less hits, but other guys have been able to. If Sam doesn't change his play style this year, then we'll have to move our hope of finding a great QB from him to Rising and/or Thompson because Sam can't stay on the field playing this way. If I'm Beck, I'm showing Sam clips of Russell Wilson over and over this offseason. I'll also add that If Herman and Co. are actually encouraging Sam to keep playing how he did last year, like Herman implied in some of his press statements, then that would go a long way in making me think that Herman just isn't the right guy for the job. What happened at tOSU the year they won the title is not a repeatable model.
  9. I wouldn't be excited if we grabbed Robinson, but I wouldn't be mad either. He's a decent prospect and could turn into a good center in 2-3 years. He doesn't show the potential to just flat out maul people like Bragg, but he has good feet for an inside guy and with a couple years of strength training, could become a more powerful run blocker. All that said though, I agree with Fud. I don't think our prospects of getting him are very good if aggy wants him (which I'm thinking they do with losing that kid to Clemson) due to all those connections. It's not too big of a deal. I think we can find someone similar without too much trouble.
  10. Eh. I don't see Bamba ever being a really great post player, post possessions are much less efficient, and offenses are moving away from having a guy in the post every play. Bamba needs a legitimate 3 point shot, so he can space the floor on offense at times. Otherwise, he'll be a liability and find himself getting taken off the floor, like other bigs in the playoffs. Not saying he needs to stand on the 3 point line every single possession, but that needs to be an aspect of his game. I dont see Bamba ever being the focal point of an offense posting up down low and with more teams focusing on spacing, it's not realistic to have Bamba near the basket on offense all the time.
  11. Stop mentioning that tool. Don't you think he knows that? You don't have to put out a legitimate product to a bunch of aggys to make money. He doesn't give a shit. Now all you fucktards quit talking to him. He's aggy through and through. He tries to come off as reasonable but he's in bed with Taylor Hamm, so that tells you all you need to know.
  12. Just waiting for Hamm to respond with “boy” Uh, Hamm, Tom v. Jimbo already happened.
  13. Robinson’s not a horrible prospect but he’s not that great of one either. Medley’s not a horrible take if you already have OT taken care of and you plan to play him at G. If you look at aggy’s 2019 and 2020 classes as a whole, you see a bunch of not overly mobile interior linemen. Each take in and of itself isn’t horrible, but when you’re a school that needs tackles badly, those are not good classes at all. Also, finding prospects who could become solid guards isn’t tough. Settling for these guys this early in the cycle (and especially the 2020 cycle) is not good.
  14. Hahaha this thread is the greatest. I had a late night working and busy morning, went to the baseball game, phone died and had to catch up on work when I got back, finally get around to reading the thread and I find people learning about Raf, posting pictures of Tex’s jacket, having a legit RB discussion, and questioning EJ’s orientation. Recruiting thread is the
  15. Bahahaha. TBGFL bringing the pre-commitment lulz. Hunter’s a good dude. Went to aggyland just to ensure his buddy’s commitment would be accepted. Btw, I admire tarp for giving a fairly honest, even if somewhat rosy IMO, prospect anlysis to those rabid, sunshine mongering sheep humpers. Medley is not a tackle. He’s 6’4 with lead feet in his pass drop. If Herman had taken Medley as an OT, I’d be losing my shit right now. God bless the Marine. He just can’t stop taking inside linemen, and we’re all better for it.
  16. Yeah. Guys like Leal and Williams seem pretty locked in. they've bought the pitch that they'll turn the program around with Jimbo at the helm and even a bad season next year or more bread probably won't do much to change their mind. Leal will be a little interesting. So far, he's only really visited UT and aggy. I guess there's a chance he's a guy who gets swept up on official visits and changes his mind while at Bama or Clemson, but that seems less likely IMO.
  17. Hey @OnAComputer, @35dimes (not sure which one you're logged in as right now), do you know if Jermaine Johnson's visit is an OV or UV?
  18. Wow. That guy has terrible feet. Edit: If he's really only 6'4 like his 247 and hudl pages say, he's going to have a very hard time sticking at tackle.
  19. Our best bet is probably to not let any of their hitters see a pitcher twice tomorrow. Idk if we’ll be able to accomplish that but it would be ideal.
  20. For real? I think I'd rather see him bat 2nd and bump duke to 5th or 6th. We need less outs in front of Kody. Zubia had a nice hit and almost a HR today. He doesn't really seem to be the problem.
