I’m already thinking about next year’s car. We’ve been looking at pictures and the boy wants someone being shot out of a canon. “Daddy, all we have to do is carve the wood to look like a canon.” 😀
I want to win this bitch next year. Speed all the way, no aerodynamic drag at all.
It’s all about axle smoothness, and weight location, and a kick add paint job of course.

I’d imagine Xi’s idea of acceptable losses would make Stalin blush.
Doubtful……HIGHLY doubtful. Stalin is still about at the top when it comes to killing his own people . Mao was worse, but Uncle Joe held his own.
I don’t think anything would get a rise out of that sick fuck.

I don’t have hard data on this, but it anecdotally seemed like those of us on team slab fared better than yall pier & beamers in avoiding pipe cracks/bursts/damage during the snowmaggedon last year.
Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkYeah because they didn’t insulate the crawl space properly.
Slabs are fine, but have less efficiency than a crawl space in that HVAC can be routed there, pipes are completely accessible, and floors tend to be warmer on crawlspace homes.
A crawlspace is more expensive to build typically. -

Just to expand, the Green argument is that new nukes will take a long time to build and in the interim emissions don’t drop, and they are afraid that some countries will fiddle-fart around on the tenders and decisions and use that to stall transition, and remain concerned over radioactive waste.
From the Greens that’s credible. But the solid, German defensive wall on this one across parties is completely due to economic interests. The French want nukes, because EDF wants to build them. The Germans want the whole EU to use German renewable tech and suppliers.
I call BS on that argument a bitX. They’ve been bashing nukes a long time, and that hasn’t been an argument regarding not using it.

Nuclear IS green, it's surprising to me that the dogmatically pragmatic Germans continue to refuse to consider it. Why is that the case? Spectre of Chernobyl and all that?
Good question. The Germans, and the French are diametrically opposed on the use of nuclear energy. The Germans are seemingly scared to fucking death it'll kill em all. They do make for ripe, terror inducing, military targets however.

If money was no object I would be all over antiquities. That’s a dangerous area for sure. Indiana Jones shit right there.
Yep I am fascinated beyond belief by ancient artifacts . I have a Sumerian object with cuneiform writing . It’s a scribes creation describing something, who the hell knows what, but you can actually make out finger prints embedded in the clay it was molded from.

Some people don’t consider photography art. Some do, I am one of them. I have been doing photography since I was 17, taking breaks here and there. For the past 12-13 years it has been non stop. I have self published a couple of books and sell prints (not a lot, but usually 5-10 a year). I am about to put out another book of black and white work.
Not saying what I do is anything special, but it’s what I spend most of my free time doing. A few nice folks from this site have bought my books and prints.
Here is my kind of sort of portfolio album on Flickr. I am trying to quit Instagram, so not going to link that.

I am a huge art lover my entire life. My Grandfather, and my uncle are/were both fine artist painters. I have the gene, but never had the time or inclination to develop the skill set. I collect original poster art from the late 19th thru mid 20th century.
The poster below was the first of our collection. it's 10' tall, and laid rolled up in our first house for 5 years because we didn't have a wall tall enough to display it. I've added to that first poster over the years with probably another 15-20 or so original travel posters, ski posters, airline posters, and a few poreclain/ metal signs thrown in for good measure.

Everyone has an SS number. Requiring a person to produce that card in no way will restrict voting rights. However there'd need to be a mechanism in place to ensure only one vote was cast per assigned number, and that mechanism would have to be a computer system of some kind.
