  1. I know you’re being sarcastic, but he would most certainly not. I wouldn’t know what the difference was, and even more reason to say hey, can we verify these are blanks ? If you have any sense of the potential danger involved. 3 (alleged) previous safety issues on the set, and several crew members had walked off the set because of safety concerns. A little cautious, common sense should have kicked in with everyone involved in that scene. Should anyone expect that caution ?
  2. Guy was backing out, and leaving, killer had to chase him down to fire his weapon off of his property. How in the ever loving fuck is that stand, and defend yourself ?!
  3. Fuck you Dick head. I’m not anti vax. The issue is the sliding rule changes federal workers were originally exempt from the mandate for some bizarre reason, immigrants were / are being released into the country without the shot, lots of images of federal employees and elected officials not following their own mandate requirements when no one is looking . if you knew even 1% of what you were alleging about me you’d have something worh listening to . As it is just STFU and keep your ignorant opinions about me to yourself.
  4. It just speaks to the hypocrisy of this admin. and how they've used the COVID issue as something political, and an opportunity.
  5. Shit, even NPR is now interviewing experts (specifically doctors, scientists dealing with the spikes in places like India), who are saying herd immunity is a unicorn with this virus, vaccinations are no sure way to stop from getting it. So I guess we just gonna shut down the world, and hide for ever now.
  6. Even more reason to check them as you're handing them to someone so it can be verified they're not live rounds.
  7. Yep, if it's standard practice I'm surprised we haven't had more incidents. That's really what this boils down to. A single 30 second step that ensures an actor they're holding an empty weapon. I'd sure as shit wanna know that.
  8. Yeah, no he has a weapon in his hands, there's a record of lax safety protocol on the set., An extra 30 seconds to verify it was indeed safe was not something that should be considered outlandish or not his job. More deflection from the basic issue of verifying the weapon was safe.
  9. The usual collective here sticking fingers in theIr ears and going NANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANA
  10. Yes, in a NY minute. It would simply look at our 24 hour news cycle, and determine that humans were bad for the Earth.
  11. Of course we do because your lame point was shot down like AB did to that poor woman
  12. And one very hot O'hura. SIDE NOTE. Saw her about 3 years ago in an airport restaurant. She's obviously a much older women now, but she was still absolutely beautiful for her age great bone structure.
  13. Ouch........... that's a 3 point shot at the buzzer right there.
  14. PROP MASTER: Cold gun !! DIRECTOR, BALDWIN, OTHER CREW MEMBERS: Hey ya know we've had some issues, let Alec/me please see the open breach... Oh no how dare he/they !!!! The fact there were previous safety issues on the set, people walked off theoir jobs because of the sense of poor safety seems to escape some of you.
  15. Good for you,You'd certainly be familiar with going on about shit you don't know anything about.
  16. I view the armorer as no different than a firearm instructor at a shooting range. Their job is safety first, and foremost I'd think (hope). This incident IS the rare time it happens, but that there was already a track record of safety issues, they didn't think to maybe just be a bit more cautious because of that ? I'm sorry, but I think 99% of the people who post here on Surly would probably try to exercise a bit more caution if they were in a similar, unique situation like that. It's not job responsibility it's just common sense, cautious precaution.
  17. I'm envisioning a more Star Trek version of AI with lots of Trudi's, Macy's, Barbaras, and one Norman who take control of everyone, and eventually off 'em all.
  18. I'm sorry you must be attempting to be blissfully obtuse here. It's not his job, but a weapon is handed to you on a set, and you can't ask the person handing it to you to verify the status of that weapon ? That's some first class BS right there. Area of expertise ? You mean asking about the status of a weapon handed to you requires expertise ? Especially when there's already been an established track record of safety issues on that set ? More first class BS. He doesn't need to inspect it, he can have the prop master or armorer open the magazine, and verify it's empty or rounds are indeed blank right there in front of him without him every touching the weapon. But hey he's qualified to fast draw it, and pull a trigger (coincidentally the most potentially dangerous part of the entire sequence of events once its in his hands). Congrats that's a triple layer of BS. Awwwwwww skipper......honey hush....
  19. I agree, we want a well educated populace, but social issues are secondary to educating them in my opinion. Important yes, but if you teach kids, and expect academic performance I think you're already creating students better equipped to deal with social issues, and to think for themselves about those issues. This board is rife with people posting liberals are typically better educated than republicans/ conservatives. I think that speaks directly to my point, that education is the paramount factor in people being better informed, and equipped to deal with those social issues.
