  1. There’s a vineyard at the top of Spring Mountain that makes damned fine wines. Smith-Madrone. Some really good reds and a very nice Chardonnay.
  2. Bucket list item for me along with Le Mans.

Just stay the hell away from Coxen Hole. If you get a chance go as far east as you can on the island. You’ll find a little dive bar named La Sirena. It’s a nice little place to chill for a while and it’s away from the crowd. All the way away. If Iron Shore Grill is still around it’s at the end of the beach you’re staying on and serves really good food. Damn, the internet says it’s temporarily closed.
  4. One other thing. Take or get a passport and look at the ferry schedule and do a day trip to Jost van Dyke to hang out at the all-day party on White Bay. One of the most famous beach bars in the Caribbean (Soggy Dollar Bar) is there and White Bay is not only beautiful but a ton of fun. Or you can charter a captained boat for the day and hit White Bay along with Virgin Gorda (The Baths) and hit the Willie T on a bay on Norman Island. Be forewarned, the Willie T is by far the raunchiest bar I have ever been to and I love raunchy bars.
  5. Eat at Extra Virgin. Sit at the bar at Ocean 362 and watch the sunset. If you have a boating day hit Lime Out and enjoy tacos and drinks on the water. Eat at ZoZo's on Caneel Bay. Banana Deck also has good food. Get a root beer float at St. John Brewing Co. They're fantastic and they make the root beer. Enjoy! If you have a jeep hit Skinny Legs for lunch.
  6. Couldn’t edit more. I hate that rule on this site. Sandy spit is exactly what it sounds like. A tiny sandy islet. I prefer Little Jost Van Dyke and the B Line bar but tiny beach dive bars are my jam. Across from B Line is Foxy’s Taboo which is a fairly decent restaurant but I doubt you’ll get that chance. I’d eat at Sydney’s Peace and Love as they’re awesome people and the food and setting is great but you probably won’t have enough time on the island for that one.
  7. Jost Van Dyke is one of my favorite islands. I’ve stayed there many times and know quite a few of the 300 natives. Your cruise ship is going to funnel you to the far end of White Bay. It’s not bad but I’d venture a ways down the beach to One Love and get a lobster quesadilla. It’s huge so share it with one or two other people. SoggyDollar is on White Bay. It’s where the painkiller was invented. White Bay is a different party every day if you’re into that although the locals from Tortola that come over on their boats tend to ruin the atmosphere some. The snorkeling depicted is NOT at White Bay. It’s all sand. Virgin Gorda is great. The Baths are fun to walk through and Little Devils Bay is one of the prettiest bays you’ll ever see. feel free to ask questions. I’ve spent quite a bit of time in the BVI.
  8. Not at all. These are not hispanic islands. Not one bit. What islands are you hitting in the BVI? I presume one is Tortola. It won't be humid at all. It's not the summer. Judging by your comments this may be an eye opening trip for you. Those islands are damned nice. Take the ferry to St. John on Thursday. Then you'll find out why people only use St. Thomas to fly into and taxi to Red Hook for the ferry to St. John and stay there.
  9. I hit AA Platinum this year and have it until March 2025. I'm not sure I have enough business travel in the first quarter to hit the next level (Platinum Executive?) but it will be close. I was upgraded to first on 3 of 4 flights in December which was nice.
  10. I'm sad to hear that considering the changes they made last February to make the lounges less accessible to large families. I have no problem with the guest policy. That was being abused.
  11. You also have Centurian Club access with the Amex Platinum card. The AA Executive will add Admirals Club access for you as well. Looks like you'll have the club access covered. I haven't benn following the bonus offers for a while so I can't help you there.
  12. Is a super taster like one of those golden ears audiophiles?
  13. Get them down in size.
  14. FIFY. 8-)
  15. I have a Japanese set for slicing (Shun), and German set for chopping (Zwilling) and my Yoshihiro for just showing off.
  16. Dat was me posting the rumor. Now rep me playoff bitches!
  17. You guys should be in. Congrats and go win it all. Alabama should be left out IMO. 13-0 and beating them on the road by double digits should trump what they have done. My thought is that y'all get the 3 seed and draw Washington. ETA: The 13-0 was obviously that Florida State should also be in at the 4 seed.
  18. Ready already.
  19. Amarone can be excellent and the process to make it is interesting.
  20. quote: The report also explains why these discussions have been suddenly sparked: At the last meeting Toto Wolff had advanced information about a topic that came up which surprised a number of team principals. According to a person in the meeting, Toto Wolff immediately realised that he 'overspoke' and his 'uncomfortable' body language immediately aroused suspicion. Things might get interesting in the off-season.
  21. Well that’s just stupid. Ohio State isn’t dropping behind teams that just lost their second games (ands Alabama should have two losses already). At worst Ohio State holds at six but probably ends up at five if FSU loses and the other teams above hold serve.
  22. Russell gave LeClerc credit in his post race interview for playing it fairly and not backing him up once Perez passed LeClerc.
  23. That team went out and won the B1GCCG 59-0.
  24. That’s not true at all. Ewers left because Stroud was clearly the guy the next year.
