  1. I love his personality but his driving was shit last season. He did nothing to help himself.
  2. My Crack
  3. Stroll has zero personality and daddy bought him the ride so…
  4. How could an idiot think it's ok to drive on the Ponte Vecchio? It's clearly a walking bridge.
  5. ONE MORE DAY!!
  6. If you can generate enough spend Amex MR are great for transferring to BA or Iberia Avios. Once or twice a year there is a 1:1.4 transfer. It used to be 1:1.6. Those were the days. Please note that you need an Iberia FF account for 90 days before you can transfer Avios in so plan ahead.
  7. Absolutely not and I would not suggest that you do. Driving the Amalfi Coast is not for the faint of heart. There is a ferry out of Naples to get you to Sorrento and additional ferries between the towns and to Capri as well. Driving in Tuscany is just like driving in the US. There can be a lot of bicyclists but there is also a lot more respect there between bikers and drivers.
  8. That seems reasonable to me. We plan our trips around one suitcase each and a carry-on at that if we can manage it. We're doing northern Italy (a couple of off the beaten path places) in September. Because we'll be up by the Alps and Dolomites we may have to pack more clothing than normal. You'll be able to take high speed trains from Naples to Florence and then rent a car to enjoy Tuscany and another high speed train from Florence to Rome.
  9. A lot of them have grown on me. Hamilton is one for sure as I have been impressed by how he's conducted himself when the team has clearly had issues with the car.
  10. It might be an opportunity to see exactly how much of an asshole he really is. Don't get me wrong I love to see Alonso drive but his reputation precedes him.
  11. Tropical islands generally have a drier side and a wetter side. St. Barths is a great example. You're driving and it is green, green, green and then you round a curve and everything is brown. I'm not so sure about French Polynesia but it is certainly common in the Caribbean.
  12. An entire episode is dedicated to Ferrari and their fuck ups last year.
  13. The holy grail of arrechera.
  14. Why? I think Bottas is awesome. Definitely a guy I'd love to have a beer or twelve with.
  15. Checo was not scheduled to drive otday. All Max. Link to episodes and storylines of season 5 of DTS It appears that there is an entire episode dedicated to Ferrari and their fuckups.
  16. They should be. I wonder what Meridian gear is driving them. I know they have internal amps.
  17. We stayed in the old part of Toledo and enjoyed it. Bring walking shoes because it's very hilly.
  18. That won't be confusing at all.
  19. I just booked Italy from September 15th until October 2nd. We're flying Emirates business class from JFK to Milan and back. Holy crap, I'm not going to want to get off the plane. We'll have complimentary chauffeur service to and from both airports and the treatment from Emirates looks to be extraordinary. I can only imagine what their first class service is like. No itinerary yet except for flights. I was hoping to do the F1 race at Monza but I couldn't make it work.

  21. I'm looking at Milan to JFK on September 30th. American wants 135000 miles per person for business class. Emirates wants 87000 miles per person for their business class which is vastly superior. No brainer decision for me on who to fly. You and I are in agreement thuderlounge. 👍
  22. While I agree when I look at the AA award charts I see 180000 miles for a business class ticket from Miami to Milan. Iberia costs be about 1/3 of that in Avios. I just can't justify the difference in miles for the class of service I desire. I'm not really concerned with domestic flights because those are easy and generally are business trips which I have the company pay.
  23. The only problem with BA is that thery always route you through Heathrow so you get stuck with those fuel surcharges. It's one reason I transfer my Avios to Iberia so I can route through Madrid without the hefty surcharges.
  24. Lol, like practice helps Lance Stroll.
  25. It's definitely not worth the $3k over Sliver for me. I think I've been upgraded twice when I had Gold. I'll have to look to see what Silver lacks that Gold has but I don't think it's much. Amex jst offered a platinum card with 150000 MR points after a $15k spend over 3 months. That isn't a problem as I currently generate multiples of that a month. I'd get rid of the gold and take the platinum but I have 10 employees with cards on the gold account and moving them over would be a major PITA.
