  1. How was the Gaja?
  2. We've now rescued four Giant Schnauzers and Eli was a rehome. People just have no clue that a big dog can have so much energy. They require a ton of exercise. ZoZo comes home from her three week board and train on Saturday. We (and Eli) are psyched to get her back. There's going to be a lot of dog play this weekend.
  3. NVM. Just looked up LeClerc’s Q2 time.
  4. It was changed after last season and the back of the grid positions are now determined by qualifying.
  5. OK. I love that Audi livery.
  6. Vietti makes some damned good wines.
  7. Tell Fredy I said hey. He’s a good dude.
  8. Burns? I'm facing my first workman’s comp claim from an employee. It was denied today because “his story doesn’t add up” and it’s his 6th workman’s comp claim in the last seven years.
  9. Smash burgers? Because smash burgers with molten cheese fucks.
  10. Yes.
  11. Just like LeClerc this year.
  12. Exactly. To be a sleeping giant implies a school once was a giant of the sport and ASU has never approached that level. Neither has Aggy.
  13. We’ve been this time of year. Hot as balls. We prefer late February/ early March. Perfect weather.
  14. Shamed I have been and rightfully so. Be very careful when adding the boiling mixture to the rice. Mexican Rice 1 28 ounce can whole peeled tomatoes 1 medium onion, peeled and roughly chopped 2 cups chicken stock 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt (I salt to taste) ½ teaspoon ground cumin 1/3 cup canola oil or rendered lard 2 cups long grain white rice 1-2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced 6 garlic cloves pressed ¼ cup finely chopped cilantro Juice from 2 limes plus wedges for serving Place the tomatoes and onions in a food processor and puree until smooth. Transfer 2 cups of the tomato mixture to a medium saucepan. Stir in the chicken stock, alt and cumin and bring to a boil over medium heat. Heat the oil in a heavy dutch overn over medium to medium high heat. When the oil is sizzling add the rice and saute, stirring until lightly toasted and golden, about 8-10 minutes. Add the jalapenos and cook until they have softened, about 2 minutes, lowering the heat if necessary. Add garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds. Gently pour the boiling mixture over the rice and stir to combine. Turn heat to low and cook, covered, until the liquid has evaporated and rice is done, about 15 minutes. Add cilantro and lime juice; fluff gently with a fork. Taste and adjust seasoning if required. Serve with lime wedges.
  15. ZoZo was sent away on Saturday for three weeks of board and train. All reports are that she is doing very well. Eli is sad that she's gone so we took him to dog beach today. He ran around for an hour playing with every dog he saw and had a blast.
  16. I bowled in leagues many years ago. My averaged topped out at 208 and my best game was a 286. Had the first 10 and left the bucket on number 11. It was a lot of fun but when kids came along we gave it up.
  17. Heading to a local dive bar in a bit for a nice big chili cheese dog. It's a guilty pleasure.
  18. Plus you're a very short flight away from Mallorca which is an incredible island. We also found Malaga to be very affordable. Nice big apartments on the coast are not expensive. Not the greatest apartment but less than $1100 a month for aobut 1300 sq ft on the coast. https://www.spainhouses.net/en/apartment-rent-benalmadena-malaga-8138798.html
  19. We found most of Spain to be much, much less expensive than where we live in the US. The only exception was Barcelona where real estate and restaurant prices were higher.
  20. They sleep where they want, which is almost always in our bed.
  21. I’m not sure about moving there as we have adult kids and maybe someday grandkids but I wouldn’t mind doing a 90 day visa once a year and base myself in Italy.
  22. Rumor going around that Dijon Johnson will recommit to Ohio State this weekend. Apparently there is a baby on the way but the logistics of that situation may have been worked out. We'll see if it comes to fruition but apparently the Florida boards are not happy,
  23. I don't think there's an argument going on here. You can get Michelin starred very fancy meals as you portrayed or you can get a simple pasta dish with wild boar sauce in Tuscany and have a great eating experience at either place.
  24. Those little restaurants in the countryside are one of the things I love most about Italy and I love a lot about it.
  25. Agreed. I really like the slow food movement in Northern Italy.
