  1. Pretty close to my strategy. I get pissed if I can't get 1B and have to risk not getting my preferred snack box. 😀
  2. Very nice. Middle Atlantic racks that slide out?
  3. The Citi Executive Platinum card gets you Admiral's Club access.
  4. Looks great. How is the ventilation/air flow in that cabinet. Heat would be my concern.
  5. I fly United regularly. They've gotten pretty efficient at boarding. Fortunately, I'm a group 1 boarder so no issues with overhead bin space.
  6. Just look at the points transfer section. Generally the ones with transfer bonuses are listed first. Right now Avios are 1000:1000. Bonvoy is 1000:1300 and Hilton is 1000:2600.
  7. Solid point. It's a weird season to be sure.
  8. Looking at Oklahoma this season do you really think they’re the number three team?
  9. Fun race. LeClerc was great. Sainz mowed through the field and Checo and Hamilton had an epic duel. Glad to see Bottas get that win.
  10. Trattoria Sostanza. Order butter chicken. Chicken, garlic and butter cooked over wood and it's amazing. Reservation is a must. For vineyards, I'd head down to the Chianti Classico region. You can also daytrip to Montalcino or Montepulciano. Montalcino and Greve has the best enetecas anywhere in Italy. The one in Montalcino is in the castle. Enoteca La Fortezza
  11. The driver has to be able to get the car back onto the track under its own power and without any outside assistance.
  12. Absolutely. Just have to play with dates a little at times. Iberia also has a ton of off-peak days for the better redemptions. You can transfer BA Avios directly to Iberia. It's a bit of a process the first time but seamless afterwards. Yes, BA Avios are great for AA flights domestically (short flights) but the availability isn't good from my experience in trying to book flights that way. I just convert them from MR points when there's a transfer bonus so I always have a bucket of Avios.
  13. You ordered beer in one of the classic wine countries in the world. Shame, Gil.
  14. Which is why I convert BA Avios to Iberia Avios and fly on Iberia. Better redemption rate and you don’t get hit with the outrageous fuel surcharge. Amex also offers a bonus conversion on Avios that exceeds 1:1. You still get a nice pod for the flight and all the perks that go with it. Make your connection through Madrid and spend a weekend there before continuing your trip. Or not but it’s a way to see another culture and visit another place you may want to spend more time in Spend a little time and learn the game. It’s not that hard and you can get a great flight experience every time. Caveat. I earn a shitload of MR points through my business so your experience may not be the same as mine.
  15. Race week boys and I’ll say it. I like the Saturday sprint. It adds a serious element of surprise.
  16. Oh hell yeah. That said, every McLaren livery should be a gulf Blue. It’s beautiful.
  17. Agreed. However, American has the Flagship Club in Miami that was really nice when we used it. Temporarily closed for now but I’m Centurion Club and Flagship Club now whoever we travel through Miami.
  18. Yep. That was it and the locals took offense.
  19. Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure how long it took to rebuild but remembered the friction which apparently still exists. Maybe if they didn't charge you to go over that stupid little bridge more people would head into San Pedro? I also always felt that the vibe in San Pedro changed after the sun went down.
  20. Palapas is back? I know the owners made a lot of enemies on the island after the last hurricane. We always enjoyed the bar but they do need to learn to play nice with the locals.
  21. Business class from Miami to Madrid and back next May. 170,000 Iberia Avios. Amex had a 1000:1400 transfer bonus so I got the tickets for the equivalent of about 120,000 Amex MR points.
  22. Thee DollHouse Gentlemen's Club
  23. Yeah, Naples driving is madness. Scariest taxi ride I've ever had.
  24. I’m fine renting a car for the countryside. Fuck driving a car in the cities. The signs you don’t understand. The difficult parking. And Rome? Nope.
