First thing I would do is get this AIO nonsense out of my mind. They all suck. Seriously, they all suck. I would be looking at an entry level Pro-Ject or U-Turn turntable. Then I'd get an integrated amp. Preferably with a built-in phono stage. Next I would establish a budget for speakers are do some listening if at all possible. Speakers should be half your budget. You can get a solid starting setup for about $1k. That does not include a subwoofer. If the integrated amp doesn't have a phono stage you can get it built into the U-Turn for another $70. Emotiva Integrated Amp UTurn Orbit Basic Turntable Monitor Audio Radius Speakers This setup will set you back about $1100 and would be a great starting point. However, speakers are subjective and I do suggest that you listen before you buy. ETA: That helmet collection made me throw up in my mouth a little.
  2. I’m pretty psyched for it. Now I’ll have a compact system where in my last house I had two racks of gear. No need for that anymore. I’m also glad I didn’t pull the trigger on the NAD earlier as they had issues with the screen developing a line from the original touchscreen manufacturer who then went out of business due to COVID-19. Now hopefully I’ll get a model with the initial bugs worked out.
  3. I’m going to pull the trigger on an NAD Master Series M33 in a few weeks when Dedicated Audii has them back in stock. I don’t really have the need or want for full surround sound anymore and this beauty will take care of all my needs. HDMI ARC in, phono input and it will push nearly 400 WPC into my speakers. It also will stream the hi-res service that I use (Qobuz). I recommend anyone that streams music and has a decent system invests in a hi-res streaming service. Stop listening to crappy sounding compressed music and go lossless. There are several services that offer lossless and it’s a huge difference if your system has the resolution to show it. ETA: The M33 will replace my now vintage Tag McLaren AV32R processor and Anthem amp that I currently use.
  4. Language from the email we received from the SBA. The SBA is launching a new round of Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) Advances - called Targeted EIDL Advance - which provides eligible businesses with $10,000 in total grant assistance. If you received the EIDL Advance last year in an amount less than $10,000, and you meet the Targeted EIDL Advance eligibility requirements, you may be eligible to receive the difference up to the full $10,000. The combined amount of the Targeted EIDL Advance and any previously received Advance will not exceed $10,000.Please review the eligibility criteria and application instructions below carefully before you proceed to the application portal for the Targeted EIDL Advance.Businesses eligible for the Targeted EIDL Advance must meet ALL of the following eligibility criteria: Located in a low-income community, as defined in section 45D(e) of the Internal Revenue Code. SBA will map your business property address to determine if you are in a low-income community when you submit your Targeted EIDL Advance application. Suffered economic loss greater than 30 percent, as demonstrated by an 8-week period beginning on March 2, 2020, or later, compared to the previous year. You will be required to provide the total amount of monthly gross receipts from January 2019 to the current month-to-date. Must have 300 or fewer employees. Business entities normally eligible for the EIDL program are eligible, including sole proprietors, independent contractors, and private, nonprofit organizations. However, agricultural enterprises, such as farmers and ranchers, are not eligible to receive the Targeted EIDL Advance.
  5. Good news from SBA but not for all of us. The EIDL grant has now been extended to $10000 for all businesses. But there’s a catch. There are three criteria a company must meet and one of them is that the company is located in a low income area. I guess they’ve determined only companies in low income areas are still in need.
  6. The same case is made without glass sides. It’s really highly rated in reviews. The only limitation is that the gpu is limited to 280 mm hence the need for me to get a 3060ti for it.
  7. All of them unfortunately. I’m on a couple of email notification lists for a 3060ti. Not holding my breath.
  8. Good point although at $75-$100 that’s a damned fine bottle of wine.
  9. Italy is a good choice because they also make daily drinkers from the high end grapes. Nebbiolo, Sangiovese etc. plus there are so many varietals. If you do second and third growth French there are some really good values as well. California not so much to me for the daily drinkers but they are some out there though the ones I like for that purpose seem to be more in the $50-$60 range. Like you said maybe it’s a bit of the wine snob coming out in me. There’s a Grattamacco Bolgheri Rosso you can get around $30. It’s the daily drinker from a very well known Super Tuscan producer. They’re really good people too. We toured the vineyard in 2018. For a great Vino Nobile di Montepulciano try Dei. Again around $30 and a really good example.
  10. I have more put in quotes right now than our enter revenue in 2020. If they start hitting we’re going to experience a new level of growth in 2021. Fingers crossed that it comes in and fingers doubly crossed that we can handle the growth and maintain our standards and reputation.
  11. $6700 and he didn’t pick Noctua fans. Shame, shame.

Twice as much as you spent on gear. Gotta fix that ratio soon. 😃

I hope that didn't come across as harsh. It's just something you'll quickly outgrow if you have any interest in listening to music vinyl.
  15. Nice. Anywhere close to retail?
  16. Some nice wines. Terrible storage. I’d be worried some of them are cooked.
  17. I’m doing a Mini-itx build for my office. I paid a small premium to get a 5600x. I have a GeForce 780ti Classified I’m going to put in it until I can find a 3060. The case can only handle an 11” long gpu and as you all know the 3060 is nowhere to be found along with its kin. I have a couple of 1080ti hybrids but they’re too long for the case.
  18. Exactly. My system plays loud as fuck if I want to crank it up. Then again it’s pushes 300 watts into my 6 ohm speakers.

Well, that won’t break the bank. When you want to step up (and you should) look at U-Turn turntables and an integrated amp. When it comes to speakers you should go and listen. No offense but you aren’t going to get much resolution from that setup.
  20. I’ve been on a search for inexpensive very high quality wines. Don’t get me wrong I love the more expensive stuff but I also don’t feel like opening those bottles on nights when I just want a couple glasses of wine. I like to save the really good stuff for special occasions. What are your personal favorites for under $30 or so a bottle? I’ll start with Vietti. $25 a bottle and a fresh Barbera D’Asti that’s ready to drink now. I’m a huge Italian wine fan so my contributions will lean that way. This is a great bottle for the price.
  21. Ohio State and Alabama have 8 of the top 12 in the top 247 with JTT still to commit. Insane. For 2022 Ohio State has as many top 50 recruits as the rest of the country combined at this point.
