  1. I'd disagree and say that player development has been the problem. Wisconsin turns 3 stars into draft picks. Herman has been turning 4 stars into undrafted guys.
  2. Fields was hit in the field of play. Anytime that happens benefit of doubt vs safety.
  3. The ball touching the ground is immaterial unless it touches the ground OOB before crossing the line. The football touching the ground does not end the play.
  4. Eli is 80 lbs. He rides in the backseat and sits leaning against the seatback or he lays down. He's outstanding in the car and god help the poor soul that tries to get close to that car when my wife is in it. He does not like strangers near his car.
  5. I think he’s what is needed at a school like Texas. He seemed to learn from his mistakes at Florida regarding recruiting players with character. Obviously he’s an elite level recruiter and motivator. While I believe he made a few bad choices regarding coaches and coordinators (Bill Davis, Alex Grinch and a couple others) for the most part his staff was as solid as they come. He is loyal to a fault. See Zach Smith as an example of that. No coach or person is perfect but there aren’t many coaches with a higher ceiling than Urban Meyer.
  6. JMO. Urban Meyere is a program builder and that is what Texas needs. None of the other names I've seen listed have that capability from what I've seen.
  7. There have been zero issues with Wilson and player safety at Ohio State. None.
  8. LJ SR is nearing or at 70. I think Ohio State is his last stop. He is a fantastic DL coach.
  9. Mickey Marotti and Mark Pantoni. Pantoni is Director of Player Personnel at Ohio State. He's as fanatical about and works as hard at recruiting as Urban Meyer. Losing those two guys would hurt a lot although, no offense intended, switching to Texas from Ohio State at this point is at best a lateral move IMO. Kevin WIlson would hurt as well but Day is the quarterback whisperer so I think that loss could be absorbed pretty easily. Meyer's son-in-law would probably leave and I don't see that as a blow. I don't see anyone else on the staff as a possibility and with Meyer's ties to the program and the state of Ohio I'm not sure how hard he'd press for anyone other than those I mentioned. JMO.
  10. Penn State has traditionally locked down DelMarVa and they seem to be getting back to dominating those areas in recruiting along with New Jersey. There are a lot of very good recruits in those states. Well, except for the Delaware part.
  11. If Meyer goes to Texas it wouldn't surprise me if JT Barrett came onto the staff in some capacity. Obviously, down the food chain a ways.
  12. Does anyone actually think that Ohio State is a worse team than Notre Dame or Georgia?
  13. Hotel Secreto is amazing. We won’t stay anywhere else.
  14. If they don't buy-in Urban Meyer will either adjust their attitude or process them. It's his was or the highway. So we agree.
  15. What programs is Texas on par with? Michigan? YAY!!! Hell yes, we're on par with those programs. If you don't realize that then poor you.
  16. Yeah, there's a team named Ohio State as well that you have to compete with.
  17. Wrong. Great coaches develop payers. Then players become great players.
  18. Bullshit. You want your backups competing and pushing your starters. Everything is a competition. No ones job is safe. That’s how you get better. How do you expect backups to perform with your attitude? Next man up.
  19. He could also leave behind a guy like Ryan Day to run the program. Day has exceeded all expectations at Ohio State and recruiting hasn't missed a beat.
