  1. Yeah, what a crazy performance! Here are other examples of reptilian people who only care about power and ego, who’s behavior is now normalized and make satire really difficult to execute…(CR)
  2. You are entitled to your opinion but it would make no sense to change much on Lockjaw. You and I will always remember this character. He had multiple scenes that crushed. His motivation was to get membership in the Christmas Adventurers Club (serious business and funny and ironic). He also sought to locate and kill any progeny with his rebel sidepiece. He ordered agents to shut down a prom a roughly interrogate kids to locate her. And so it goes. His scenes were well executed and he developed an outstanding character. He’ll get nominated for an oscar. He had multiple classic scenes where he tried to act like a person, a real general, a real white nationalist in-crowd, a masculine military man. What we’re gonna make Lockjaw a real guy in this movie? It wouldnt even be close to the same movie. My comp of Dr Strangelove makes sense partly because PTA love Kubrick. And partly because it shows how a modern satire can work
  3. it was one way
  4. Cap victim. My guess is his WAR doesnt justify his current price.
  5. Be more specific. Who were the cartoons? You mean the fascists? Not sure you’ve been keeping up with current events, but…(CR) With respect to Sean Penn’s Colonel Lockjaw, it was an alltime performance and insanely funny. Here we have a deeply ambitious and broken person whose depth is limited. It’s limited because of his sociopathy and narcissism. And it’s a compilation of real life characters who are two-dimensional villains motivated by power and ego. But Penn fucking nailed this role and will be remembered for a very long time. In Strangelove, Colonel Mandrake was an everyman and he played it mostly straight with Ripper. It was great. As was the scene between Penn and Willa. Really great movie.
  6. The secondary will be much better with Muschamp and addition by subtraction (sans Akina). If Muschamp has a weakness (besides volatility), is he made some poor personnel decisions. I think the portal came make up for those shortcomings.
  7. The offense sucks. Saw a series where the Raiders clearly gave no fucks and obliterated a couple of pitch plays. I would run blitz Texans over and over while doubling Nico.
  8. AI Belichick in a sky blue neck brace
  9. You were wanting the movie to be something it wasn’t. The world building didn’t matter. The names didn’t matter. The surface politics didn’t matter. This was a satire. Think of Dr Strangelove, with General Jack D Ripper, Major King Kong, and well Dr Strangelove. It was supposed to be timeless. The source material was a post-60’s overview of extremist movements and government response. If the depictions hit close to home, well… I saw similar criticisms of the movie Civil War about wanting to know the motivations of each side. Why are people committing acts of violence? Well, who cares? Do we really want more exposition dialogue in a 160-minute movie? We do not.
  10. I wasnt familiar with Chloe Fineman’s game. In the dance skit her body is tight, nice thigh gap and fit legs.
  11. OK, talking point. Its not the reason. I dont know the reason you fire your best coach. it makes no sense. With that said, Sarks side of the ball sucked this year. His offseason coaching hires whiffed. He needs to focus on being head coach. His ego is getting in the way if he doesnt upgrade oline and special teams.
  12. It’s amazing to me that a throwaway line in a PC is now being taken as gospel. We need Sark as head coach, all phases.
  13. Who’s babysitting the offense?
