  1. Bennett and Ralph Sampson (freak talent) are two individuals most responsible for their history. Between Bennett and Sampson they were worse than Texas. Historically they have a lower winning % by a significant margin. Remove Bennett from the equation, they instantly become 2nd tier. They’re Clemson or BC. Texas has more to offer recruits and coaches. Bennett is part of their program prestige. With that being said: Great university. Beautiful small town. Think quality of life checkmark goes to Cville.
  2. Beard has no viable future as a head coach (especially for a bigtime program) while he’s in a relationship with Trew. Not sure how this would still be possible.
  3. Yeah Rick Barnes is responsible for 8/11. And late Barnes/Shaka era isnt pretty. But Penders made us more relevant in recruiting and lifetime we have better winning % by about 30 points.
  4. In my lifetime, UVA has had 2 Top 25 finishes without Tony Bennett and Ralph Sampson. Take those dudes away, and they’re wandering the wilderness. 8/15 Top 25 all-time are during Bennett’s tenure, since 1970 when that was a thing.
  5. He could win the next 20 ncaa championships for Texas A&M including one with Kevin Durant, Jr and I’ll always be grateful we fired this piece of shit.
  6. The more likely scenario of “building a roster” is the Colts and Commanders who are wandering the wilderness. They’ve had great talent at times, but are so desperate at QB they took shots at Carson Wentz. Its a fallacy to take a strategy based on the genius of others 4 years ago. There’s no shortcut beyond smart cap management, having the right people in place in your front office who are aligned with the right coaching staff. The Texans are finally able to have a strategy and begin executing a plan beyond building a prayer group. If they think the QB prospects are special, you draft them. I think the defensive prospects are probably better bets. we shall see
  7. Even the name of the town is funny - Santa Poco. Nonsense name translated to “Saint Little”
  8. Our running game was not as consistent as it should have been, hampered by no legit deep threat in passing game and lack of man strength on the line. Later in year you could see us bullying Baylor and Kansas. Bijan was great but also had to be superhuman in half the games, when he should have had more romper room big gains.
  9. The Fall of the Roman Republic included several key acts of political violence committed with impunity by one faction/family against the other. Usually around the transition of power. Rinse. Repeat. It’s really about aggressive factions not wanting to cede power and comply with democratic will. Basically, its the same story of “fuck that bullshit”.
  10. “I had a deal with Hyman Roth and Johnny Ola to turn over Brooklynn to the Rizzo brothers, and we’d get to invest in Cuban hotels, but Michael was playing hardball.” - Fredo
  11. Charles got injured in OU game (sprained ankle or something). It was clear early on he was massively talented. Selvin Young probably should have gotten Henry Melton short yardage carries. Chris O was part of the 2008 backfield. Ramonce was also a special talent. He stepped up later in the season when he learned the position better. Ridiculously good hands. Great group but lets not pretend VY and the great oline didnt add 2ypc to their stats. USC and Texas offenses were all-time great.
  12. Texas needs more donors and funds like Sydney Sweeney needs a breast enhancement surgery
  13. They havent reinforced every tree yet and put up private wind blockers for every tree. They are looking at working with Captain Marvel and Wanda to see how they can help.
  14. Miley Cyrus, Carly Rae Jepson, and AC/DC have already supplanted the Longhorn Band. It’s Bob Cole and Company blasting non-stop over the band these days.
  15. AE didnt instigate the ice umbrella fast enough. They also failed to bum rush everyone’s backyard to clear trees over the past 20 years against wishes of the NIMBYs. And, they failed to find $25 billion to bury lines. And their workers weren’t forced to work Wed night during an electrical storm. This is an unprecedented natural and manmade disaster. Manmade by homeowners who neglect trees and overplant. And fought against tree butchers. No easy solutions here.
  16. We either bury lines or butcher trees. Neither one of those things are gonna happen. But homeowners who regularly trimmed trees fared better.
  17. Austin Energy at neighbors. Told them to get some ball bearings and prepare the Fetzer valve with some oil. Maybe some Prestone.
