  1. Stewardess, I read asterisk πŸ‘‹πŸ™‹πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ It says: Freak'n Hook'Em
  2. Aren't they losing like 20 guys to the draft & heck even their HC to the Chicago Bears?
  3. They could always deploy the Charlie Weiss at KU recruiting pitch πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ https://secure-www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/weis-pitch-to-recruits-have-you-seen-that-pile-of-crap-out-there/
  4. Too bad OU didn't line up with just 10 defenders on back to back plays for us 🀘🏽
  5. TBF most RBs don't even make it to a second contract, but the league minimum is also more than most will get in NIL sticking around for another season. We'll see whether he likes the draft feedback he gets in December. πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ
  6. Brooks won't test off the charts at a pro day and is too young for a Senior Bowl invite, so unless he goes for like 1800 yds and wins the Doak, I just don't see him leaving for the NFL as a RS-So.
  7. If Neto was planning on transferring, his brothers likely wouldn't have picked Texas. Neto is in the McCombs school and getting developed at OG. I don't think he is leaving without a degree and is a play away from starting at LG as we saw with Hutson going down earlier this year with a knee injury. Flood knows you don't have to be a 4yr starter to get drafted - you need one really good year and preaches accordingly. If you're in the two deep, keep grinding. If you're only in the three deep and have been passed up by a younger guy, then we may have something to talk about, but in that situation the writing on the wall should be that you're likely going pro in something other than football and do you really want to give up the pancake perks in the meantime voluntarily?
  8. With the % of total targets we have set to matriculate to the NFL, the opportunity to come in and shine right away at Texas should be an easy sell for the Longhorns. If not Wingo, then a productive deep threat from the portal.
  9. Easy Fix... Toviano has looked more safety like in reps (e.g getting beat 1:1), so swap his ranking with Muhammad's
  10. Cam Williams didn't RS (played on FG/XP team all season), so will be a true Soph in '23. Also think he could play G if Jones returns at RT.
  11. And Barron & Watts played their asses off on the perimeter destroying WR screens & QB zone read keeps, plus momentum plays like a sack and fumble recovery return for TD.
  12. Y'all have some real reading comprehension issues... My point was IF he wanted to pull the same type of stunt as last year and threaten to portal if he doesn't get more money. That's a "me before we" mentality that Sark has been trying to get rid of. There's a difference between wanting to be taken care of and mercs only allegiance to the highest bidder. If you want some CSTAT shit here in ATX, then go on with thinking there is no limit to other people's money you are willing to spend regardless of attitude or results.
  13. He won't be the #1 receiver here if he keeps giving up on routes and dropping balls. If Neyor hadn't gone down, he would have usurped that role by now. Next year... Sanders, Thompson, Cook, injury returnees and/or portal refugees will gladly take those targets if he doesn't want them.
  14. Patterson didn't exactly fare so well vs. Sonny the last couple outings.
  15. Call his bluff... the lack of consistency and occasional lapse of effort doesn't warrant a pay bump. If he wants to risk jumping into a new room with a new playbook and new QB to build a rapport with for his "contract" year, then best of luck.
  16. Perfect for a team like TAMU, so when "The King" inevitably goes out with injury, they have the built in excuse for not meeting expectations again. 🀘🏽
  17. I think this was a reference to actual bulls coming to the Moody center. He's wearing the protective vest the Austin PBR team wears.
  18. Thanks for the reminder that my "flair" had expired. As an inaugural BAMF donor, and a re-upped Burnt Ends member here's your flairπŸ–• 🀘🏽
  19. Would also highlight the former Texas players working in sports journalism today: Brian Jones, Manny Acho, Sam Acho, Chris Simms, multiple guys on LHN (while it lasts) https://moody.utexas.edu/news/prime-time
  20. Big deal. I'll consider it a convenience fee until there is a team wide alternative or line extensions of the Burnt Ends here at Surly.
  21. The point was that it was an ez and legal way to support the entire roster of players even if you never use Discord (there will also be IRL events & at least one tailgate).
  22. I am an alumnus and $199 going directly to the players instead of administrative bloat was an easy call 🀘🏽 Frankly, between Clark Field Collective, Horns With Heart, Burnt Ends, The Players' Lounge, adhoc memorabilia signing events, coaching FB camps for rich kids in Westlake, car lease NIL deals, dropping mix tapes, or doing sponsored posts on social media, there's no shortage of opportunities to make $ as a UT FB player. If we lose out on prospects expecting a bag or who have handlers that need a cut, that might just mean shifting slots to portal talent where the ROI is a little easier to project.
  23. Talk is cheap... Our new player's NIL initiative has only sold 359 of their 4k available passes at $199 each. We have 1/2 million living alumni and thousands of season ticket holders that make annual gifts well in excess of that amount just to keep their seats and OU priority, so I'm disappointed they haven't sold out already.
  24. I can see that... Nice to have options you believe allowing at least one of the '23 guys to RS.
  25. I think he has the inside track for the move TE position post Billingsley and will be a special teams player and depth guy this year.
