  1. https://www.elevenwarriors.com/ohio-state-football/2021/12/128053/ohio-state-defensive-lineman-darrion-henry-young-enters-transfer-portal Same song, different Verse?
  2. He said he has an 83" wingspan (edit: I see now this was already pointed out by a couple of posters, but I don't see a delete option🤦🏼‍♂️)
  3. No... that second part is not our incoming DE from Westlake (Ethan Burke), but his partner in crime on the other edge, Colton Vasek ('23)
  4. finally an accurate use of apart in one of these messages since he is separating himself from the rest of the team 🤣
  5. WR highlight vids that focus more on celebrations than actual playmaking piss me off... show the ability to separate, contact courage, body control to make contested catches or get a foot down in bounds, YAC, etc.
  6. f' the composite rating... watch the hudl, the kid looks like a contributor as a pass rusher/pass game disruptor.
  7. Hell no on that last one.... Schooler had an opportunity to end the Kansas game but didn't make the play. He was the best of some bad options at S and did make strides as the season progressed, but cannot give him a pass.
  8. If the school officially announces you, it had to receive your NLI first, or it's a violation.
  9. We already had 7+ portal, so any more does nothing for us other than ensure we can take a full 25 next cycle.
  10. Regardless of the specific cutoff, we already had 7+ portal entrants so our initial counter cap is the constraint not the 85. That's why Champ Lewis couldn't sign on Wed and may be Blueshirted. Comes in for the fall but doesn't play and gets added as a '23 counter (unless he chooses another school by Feb)
  11. Watts didn't need to sign by 11:59PM Friday as he is a transfer and can just enroll anytime and complete the financial aid agreement. I think this had to be a HS recruit, so maybe Harris, Campbell or LTG. Perkins, Abor and Greene were all targeting NSD2, right?
  12. returning seniors like Overshown and Jamison not being factored into the 85 cap helps, but the bigger constraint was always going to be the initial counter cap in a given signing cycle which the NCAA only increased by up to 7 on a 1:1 for any portal attrition for the cycle through 12/15/21. That would mean 32 for us plus any we could count back to '21 for unused initial counters in that cycle which is where the 33 number came from.
  13. He a actually has 2 more years available (RS Sr. year + COVID year)
  14. Because it's a standing opportunity for the offensive lineman room (scholarship OL that are academically eligible & in good standing - i.e. not suspended) at the University of Texas at Austin who opt in to the deal. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you are able to opt in to the deal.
  15. the under the table comes with it's own form of taxes... The uncle tax, the trainer's cut, etc. Shave 20% off and he is still doing ok, but will need to spend some dough on a good safe to store his bread because it's not like he can just walk in and deposit a load of cash like that without triggering an AML algorithm. It takes some skill to launder that amount of cash.
  16. Burke has 2 picks for Westlake thus far - including a snatch while pass rushing that had me doing a double take - wow, did he really just pick that off? Dude has got arms like teradactyl wings that could result in a lot of batted balls and QB strips.
  17. You left out Jim Knowles being hired away from the Pokes (thorn in our side removed) & bonus being he likely displaces Kerry Coombs from Ohio St which removes a noted poacher of DB talent from the Lone Star state and gives us a shot at flipping Terrance Brooks and securing Ryan Watts from the portal.
  18. The scholarship limit remains 85. Impact of Seniors returning to use their COVID year is an open question I have with respect to their inclusion in the 85 hard cap. The 33 new additions is because we had 1 unused initial counter from prior cycle which allows us to backcount on of this year's early enrollees +25 normal initial counters allowed +up to 7 additional initial counters on a 1:1 basis for attrition lost this cycle through 12/15 - we're well over the 7 to allow 7extra initial counters: Jake Smith, Keithron Lee, Joshua Moore, Al'Vontae Woodard Rafiti Ghirmai, Tyler Johnson Terrence Cooks Tyler Owens, Marques Caldwell
