  1. So they've totally eliminated the grilled cheese sandwich. Kind of a weird thing to take off the menu. Less family trips there in our future. I have two kids that don't like burgers and don't like the chicken at WB. womp womp
  2. If you can't trust ReverseCowgirl69 on economics, who can you trust?
  3. Buy and hold. DCA. Now is the time to be doing it. This thread dies, people stop chatting about it. I sense a lot of apathy. In a couple years you'll wish you had been buying now, kind of like 2018-2019. Totally predictable scam. Promoted by some very prominent "legitimate" crypto investors like Novogratz and Raoul Pal. These people are bad actors.
  4. High inflation, at war, likely entering recession. Not hard to figure out.
  5. This is pretty egregious. The same revolving door phenomenon that has taken over other regulatory purviews of the government (hello Treausury, SEC) has moved in on the #science. You’re missing the point. The apparent bar for officially recommending these boosters is so low that it damages the credibility of these orgs. That’s putting aside any effect that these recs could have on mandates for school children in some pasts of the country. Embarrassingly small sample. Secondary endpoint that isn’t guaranteed to actually affect outcomes. Basically no risk/benefit analysis at all for a pediatric population when the benefit is already guaranteed to be extremely low.
  6. Well that doesn't sound very good.
  7. The most Freudian of slips. What a dickhead.
  8. Doesn’t he depend on a lot of government subsidies? Pretty smart to align with the party likely to run the table in November and potentially 2024. That’s all this is.
  9. As it is adopted and held by individuals it will appreciate over time and volatility will dampen. Eventually if/when widespread daily usage is attained then its value will be steady at the high levels it achieves. But as I said this is an unprecedented phenomenon so we’ll see if it plays out that way.
  10. Looks like rising interest rates are starting to have an effect.
  11. Target did the same as Walmart. Better sales, worse earnings due to decreasing margins.
  12. How do you transfer value over large distances? Or over years or decades? That’s why money was developed. It’s how we developed past bartering. And it’s had multiple iterations and advancements over time. Bitcoin is just the latest. It will be adopted as such.
  13. Money is a technology, buddy. It has advanced over time. How do we communicate or transfer value between each other? That comment on its own belies your ignorance. Sorry.
  14. No one knows the exact timeline of how adoption of a novel monetary technology should evolve, least of all Paul Krugman. He of internet/fax machine fame. This is a unique situation. He’s been wrong about bitcoin for almost a decade. I would anticipate that continuing. if you’re taking cues from him on anything tech related then good luck.
  15. My man. Weighing in right on cue with some Paul Krugman.
