  1. You act like you have no kids. You’ve never had a situation where you didn’t have time or didn’t feel like explaining something novel to a small child? Everybody’s family is different, Johnny. Now everybody get their notebooks out. No big deal. Move on. You’re not dismissing it. You’re not validating it. If Johnny wants to ask his parents at home about it, he will. The teacher won’t cry themselves to sleep at night because they didn’t get explain two dads to Johnny. And little Emma that has two moms will not feel unsafe. There’s a middle ground that respects parents’ wishes.
  2. You shouldn’t. They’re talented, good looking kids that lead a life of privilege, and that’s without factoring in their whiteness. They have a great mom and an average dad. Their parents just have different political positions. No big deal.
  3. I have 4 kids. Number 3 is currently in 2nd grade. I’m keenly aware that kids are tough on outliers. I don’t see how that’s relevant to having a rule that you don’t discuss sexual orientation in class with that age of kids. Omitting or avoiding that discussion with immature children does not equal a hostile or unsafe learning environment for the young children that already know they’re homosexual. But go ahead and keep demanding that sexual orientation should be open topic for teachers down to kindergarten. What a drama queen post. Don’t discuss sexual orientation in 3rd grade and below equals attack on public schools? Get a hold of yourself. Also lol at the chilling effect this would have on teachers. Most teachers have or had kids and know that most parents would prefer they handle such discussions themselves with kids that age.
  4. Wait, who doesn’t feel safe? Openly homosexual PreK-3rd grade kids? I don’t understand who else you could be referencing. Assuming there’s any kids in that age group confident enough to strongly assert their homosexuality, it is still quite a leap to then think they’ll feel “unsafe” when a character in a children book’s sexuality is not mentioned during school. Kind of a bizarre assertion. Maybe I’m reading your statement wrongly.
  5. Wow you found an isolated incident with one person in the entire US of A. That’s about 20 levels from a coordinated effort to murder homosexuals like is being suggested here.
  6. We’ll see. If/when the Ukraine conflict dies down, and there’s a mini wave this summer, then there will be push for 4th shots.
  7. I’ve always been anti surveillance state. Maybe my sarcasm meter is broken? Do you have an actual critique of any of those concerns? Maybe you just have a limited understanding of what’s possible with completely centralized, programmable money.
  8. Well, I sit in a McDonald’s for the first time in years here at Disney world. They might be inflated Disney World prices but it’s 4.39 for a large fries.
  9. The guy who shared it on my feed said this guy is part of the Shanghai set. Evidently if there’s any internal challenge to Xi it will come from there. I wrongly presumed that he had the whole country locked up at this point. China is pretty authoritarian currently and trending harder that way so this seems like a subtle, or many not, shot across the bow.
  10. Probably not. Not sure why the left/media are fighting it though. I don’t see a lot of people clamoring for introducing sexual orientation to their kids at that young of an age.
  11. First that story smells funny, just from a numbers standpoint. In any case, it’s hard to move billions in bitcoin. Smaller amounts would be possible. As more people get excluded from financial system or perceive that it is a threat to them, then more people will be holding bitcoin. Eventually in the future (not near term) many more people will accept bitcoin for goods and services. For now, I’m sure your average oligarch would rather have $500M In bitcoin than a yacht that’s gone forever. In other news, some pretty big news out of Korea, one of our main allies vs China.
  12. Some of these charts are sketchy, but a lot are quite clear. https://wtfhappenedin1971.com/
  13. Lol in Brisket’s world of imagined persecution and animosity, people walking down the street masked are pelted with rotten fruit by people hanging out of the windows of moving vehicles. If you feel you need to wear a mask ok. It doesn’t affect me. I do laugh internally at the people who still wear them in a restaurant and then politely sit down and take them off. Just flew yesterday and mask tolerance is dropping quickly at airports. Can’t wait for that to be abolished.
  14. I’d love to know what “a number of crypto networks” even means to Wray.
  15. I ate at Freitheit Country store today. It’s a little outside of town behind Bucee’s. Roadside pit stop feel. Good burgers and my wife’s CFS was good as well. They have live music at nights. My wife’s fave is Huisache. McAdoo’s is like a small town Pappadeaux. But sounds like you know what to do for nightlife. A group of guys looking for drinks and scenery would do best at the Pour haus. New Braunfels is a great town.
  16. That last part isn’t exactly letting the market decide. It’s inflationary and will help support prices.
