You’re on top of this more than anyone. I subscribe to the idea that he’s trying to recreate some kind of Peter the Great version of Russia. But how do we stop him? We’ve already committed $50B and supposedly they’re going to take over Luhansk in a couple weeks.
How much money will it take? Where is the best place to stop him? I know you’ve said to just kill as many of his men as you can but it feels like they’re slowly grinding their way to where they want to be.
This is such a dope interview. Well worth the listen. So many interesting points but a few stood out to me.
Every time we have knocked down 5% inflation it was by raising the Fed funds rate above cpi. That’s impossible now.
There’s never been 5% inflation and been a soft landing.
he calls recession early to mid 2023.
overall this guy is just a goat but impressively humble given his record. Allsome.
Interviewed by one of the brothers that co-founded Stripe, a payments behemoth. Still privately owned
oof.
a lot of chatter online about the solvency of one of the bigger custody/lending platforms, Celsius. Not very reassuring stuff from their ceo. If anyone here holds coins there I’d get them off asap
this is a bit above my head, but supposedly these lending platforms use leverage to generate yield through defi.
Somehow through staking platforms yet another coin is created stEth. That is redeemable for Eth after their merge is complete but it’s a trading at a discount, another “depegging”. Evidently if it widens greatly it could cause big ripple effects through markets.
Here’s a thread explaining it. I don’t understand at least half of it. Not trying to learn either just looking at potential bear market catalysts.
tl;dr
We’re in big bear market territory. There’s a lot of negative headlines out there. I’m seeing some apathy, but not utter despair. I still think we leg lower one more time.
Everyone here knows my philosophy. Dca Buying. This is when you accumulate more. Stay safe out there. Hold your own coins. No leverage.
Emerging markets are paying even more for oil than we are.
Also emerging markets that have dollar denominated debt are going to have more trouble servicing it.
This analysis is fucking hilarious in hindsight. Props to the federal government for such a spot on analysis and also to whichever Citigroup lackey put their report together. JFC.
Walking distance? If you can go further there’s a couple good options.

Ah yes. That underinvested green energy. Puh leeze.
I’m actually not so bearish on solar. Even though we’re a ways away, I could see battery advances making solar more viable. Wind is trash.
Im fine with pursuing solar as long as get more of the raw materials required are moved on shore. Manufactured polysilicone as well. We are beholden to China on that.
Push nuclear and natural gas aggressively. We need fossil fuels whether people believe it or not. We will still need gasoline/Diesel for the foreseeable future as well
Overall I think we should err more on the side of energy security vs a hasty energy transition. It’s the way that gives us the best strategic position over the next 50 years.
Who are the poors exactly?
I question whether all renewables will be great in the long run. You need a base load that can support everyone’s day to day usage of energy. Natural gas or nuclear should be big part of that. We will still need some fossil fuels for industrial processes as well.
Our civilization thriving has been built on the back of increasing energy utilization. Are we really going to cut back on reliable energy? That’s what people are proposing. You’re asking lower Income people here and a lot of poor people abroad to curb their energy usage at least temporarily because it’s too expensive. But it will be better for the planet. Again just own it.
