  1. Love this show, although haven't caught up yet. I think i am on S2E3. I love Derek.
  2. I never saw James Street or those old effers play...so here is my list: 1a. Colt - thought he was gonna win a natty, but that damn injury. To me, he just BLED Burnt Orange. 1b. Vince - you know, the national title has a lot to do with this. One of the greatest athletes in college football history. I just think Colt is more "Texas". 2. Major - loved that he looked like my 5th grade PE teacher. Competitive as hell. 3. Sam - Another "bleeds orange" guy. Always loved Sammy. 4. Quinn - Loved what he did for our program. A great guy and a perfect one to lead us back to relevance. 5. JB - Made me fall in love with Texas football. 6. Peter - My first memories of Texas football involved Gardere. There is a good chance Arch moves to 2 or 1a-c depending on this next year.
  3. I cannot wait to see Jonah Williams. He is special.
  4. MAN. Love my Grendel. We have a very similar setup. Mine's a 16" barrel with a AGM Rattler TS25-384 V1. I've unalived plenty of hogs with it. Usually shoot Hornady Black, but I did pick up several hundred rounds of those Sabre black tips that I haven't shot yet. Hoping to go this weekend.
  5. I hope we are REALLY going after Pat Coogan from Notre Dame. Definite need at C.
  6. Wish we had a qb who can run. Oh wait.
  7. Ahh. Yeah, I don’t know anyone who wears 8.5 in my circle. Maybe donate to a hand me down store? Or sell them to them. I bought a pair of Lucchese at a place in Tyler. $80.
  8. I was a weird kid growing up. I loved card collecting but instead of looking for the ones that might be valuable or whatever in the future, I started collecting the players that I liked. So yeah, I've got some Manute Bol rookies, tons of Deion Sanders, Jerry Rice rookie, Emmitt Smith rookie, some Bo Jackson, and Ken Griffey Jr. Nothing that'll amaze anyone, but to me, they are gold. I remember trading a Clyde Drexler card (some regular ol 1991-92) for a Manute Bol card and remember my friend thinking I was nuts. hahahaha. I don't think I have anything older than 1986 or so. That is about when I got into collecting. My favorite card: Bo Jackson 87 Classic My most valuable (I think): Jerry Rice Topps rookie Card that I thought would be worth a lot more: Emmitt Smith 1990 Action Packed Card that I have had the longest: Deion Sanders 1989 Pro Set card Weirdest player I started collecting for no reason: Kevin Maas. I have no idea why but I have a few of his. I was a Don Mattingly fan and thought he was "next". hahaha.
  9. I saw a TikTok about the "best action movies of 2024", so I decided to watch a few the guy listed. Granted, this is one guy's opinion (tiktok name is Brandon Toks Movies), but I think he has a very good list. I watched all these in a two week span: "Kill" - This is an Indian movie and I REALLY liked it. About 45 minutes in the thing really flips a switch and just gets BRUTAL. It was pretty high-energy before, but they turn it up to 11. I think even the trailer or movie poster says "the bloodiest movie ever to come out of India". Again, first one on the list I watched and it was GREAT. "Maharaja" - Another Indian film. Different than your typical "action" movie. Great story. Great film. Kinda jumps around but kept me entertained the whole time. Of all of these listed it probably has the least amount of "action" (still has plenty), but it is a different kind of movie. Overall, I think this was my favorite out of the ones I watched. "Monkey Man" - saw this when it came out. (Yeah, I guess I like Indian movies). I really liked this movie too, but think Maharaja (movie as a whole) and Kill (action) are better. "60 Minuten" - German film you can find on Netflix. About a UFC fighter who has 60 minutes to get across town to his daughter. Yeah, it is not as simple as it seems. Good movie, but my least favorite of the ones listed. "Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In" - I actually started a thread on this one. If you are a fan of old-school kung fu kick-assedness, this is your movie. The fight scenes are crazy. Pretty good story, but I kinda lost track and just wanted to see more fighting. Can't get over some of the scenes. Very cool. In case you are wondering, here is the guy's full list: 10: The Beekeeper 9: Kalki (no idea) 8: The Shadow Strays (Netflix; was gonna start soon) 7: Kill 6: Maharaja 5: Mars Express (No idea) 4: Monkey Man 3: 60 Minuten 2: Twilight of the Warriors 1: Furiosa - Mad Max
  10. Also, I'm only two in, but Kitsch should have punched the lady in her mouth several times already. "IF I SAY SOMETHING, LISTEN". Good lord, she is annoying.
  11. I've enjoyed two episodes in. Kitsch is great.
  12. I've seen a lot of stuff online and on TikTok calling out Kyle Flood and the OL, especially on that second down call at the goal line. Seems like the OL had issues the last two games for sure.
  13. I posted this on the QE thread, I think. My son and I went back and watched every snap Arch got this year. Man, the offense is TOTALLY different with him at QB. Just go watch it if you dare. (I was getting frustrated watching) There were called rollouts. He picks up yards with his feet when the pocket collapses. He throws a catchable deep ball. Next year should be great, I just hope Sark doesn't try and change Arch too much. Just let him do Arch things. I can't wait to see what that looks like.
  14. I’m sure it’s been said here other than “more Arch”. But I’d suggest to not go watch all of Arch’s highlights this year. I’m no coach, but we would be in the title game if he was our guy. Granted, I don’t think Quinn was the reason we lost. (See OL). But he wasn’t the answer to winning a title either. I’m a forever believer in the “need a mobile qb to win in college football “ camp. They don’t have to be Vick or VY, but they need to be a threat every play with their legs. Quinn was a threat, maybe once a game. If you go watch all of Arch’s games this year. Man. The offense changes. The play calls change. We get rollout play calls, he moves up in the pocket when there is pressure. He picks up yards when plays are broken down. It’s something to watch. I wish we could have seen more. I get that Sark must have had an agreement with Quinn to let him be the man, but man, Arch was the answer, and the only way we could have had a chance this year. I really believe that . I appreciate Quinn and all he did for Texas. But, next year can’t get here fast enough.
