Naughty Santa. Damn good.

Hmm. You may have answered your own question. Trying to make a throw too quickly or with bad footwork usually means bad things in the game. I was blown away the first time I dropped back, threw a deep ball and right as I released it my QB got nailed. DEF affected the throw and it came up short for an INT. Old game that thing would fly out the same if your QB was on the ground. haha. Anyway, I assume you are trying to throw it too quickly. One thing I have been doing lately is hitting the L1 (name?) button on the Xbox One before the snap. You can choose what you want your OL to do. When I KNOW I need time, I will choose "max protect". It definitely helps, especially when you have a RB back there to help block. Try that out too.

I do A LOT of simming through dynasties and almost EVERY TIME Bond transfers after one year at Texas. Whatever computer coach is doing he needs to change it. Golden leaves a lot too. Just something I've noticed. (I am not using Texas when this happens).

I have remote played (Xbox Series S) on my iphone 15 and it is fine. Obv not as smooth as playing on the console, but it works fine. I played on my (insert classical music) iPhone 15 Pro Max which is not ideal. Too small for my old eyes. Would definitely be better on an ipad. Hope it works for ya.

One funny thing about the game that my son told me about after his friend and him started playing an online dynasty. The first few seasons the friend kept saying "all my players are gone." Well, turns out, he thought "Encourage transfers" was like encouraging the players (who I assume he thought transferred in) to do well, etc. He was just cutting players accidentally. HAHHAHA. Cracked me up.

Ahh yes. Like in the recruiter skills somewhere on there I powered that up more. Makes sense.

Some questions that I haven't really searched to find the answer, so sorry: 1. How come I can spend 75 hours on QBs (most times, depending on what team I am, coach ranking etc) but can't on DTs or CBs? SOME recruits I can only spend 50 hours. Some 65. Some 60. WHY? 2. Is there ANY way to make your team "run heavy" or "pass heavy" when simming? Is it just playbook? Old game you could put the slider to 80% pass/run. I loved that. 3. What influence do the assistant coaches have? Like if my head coach is "air raid/4-2-5" defense, do I need to find an OC that is air raid? DC that is 4-2-5? I assume that matters but honestly can't tell the difference.I've been finding assistants that have good pipelines and who are being looked at by other schools.

What’s behind this brick? (Need to put electrical socket)
Dignan replied to Dignan's topic in Can You Help Me With This?
haha. That TV was the designated "outdoor tv" because it is old as shit. We put another one out there before but it, even though the patio is covered, did not make it. That ol bird was been through thick and thin! Plus, I have our "game room" that has two 50-inch tvs side x side to watch/play xbox on. That was an upgrade after using a 32-inch smart tv that I moved all over the house or into the living room to watch college football. ANYWAY, eh, I kind of care about the cords. I've done all of our tvs on the inside, so thought, why not here?!? -
So, I’ve had this tv (in photo) on our backyard patio awhile, but as you can see, the only outlet is near the ground. I’ve put a socket for a tv in diff rooms, but NEVER tried to do it on brick. Thought I’d ask the pros here. YouTube is good, but, I didn’t see a wall exactly like this. Saw a fireplace, etc etc. behind this wall (tv wall) is our bedroom. Drywall on our bed room wall. I’ll prob get romex, splice and add another near tv, but unsure how to cut/do that part. Can I run Romex behind brick? I’m an idiot when it comes To this. Thanks!

I’ve been using Streemingly tv for over a year and it has been fine. It’s an IPTV service that I stumbled upon after using TIVOD for awhile. Movies and series usually work best but live tv is still good. It can pause or whatever from time to Time but it usually comes back quick. It’s a good service that I would def recommend. I’m currently watching this season’s hard knocks ep 3 on it. No issues. Movies: they have a section called “cinema”. Usually they can get something on their service in HD when it’s available to rent on other services. Wife and I watched Twisters the other night. My fave part of the service is they will make channels for whatever big event is going on. Example: they had an Olympics 24 channel and when you clicked it, there were several diff feeds of the Olympics. World Cup was the same way. Euros. Whatever. It is based in England (I think) so those channels usually are more stable. They have “local abc/nbc/etc channels but they can be a little wishy washy. I’d say local channels are the worst part of their service. (I live in East Texas so….) Anyway, like I said, I’ve been using it a year and can answer any questions you might have.

I've been playing this since it came out, mostly dynasty mode. Few more things I wonder about: 1. Why can't I set my team as "pass heavy" or "more run". The old one had the slider that let you go 80% passing or running and the opposite. This one does not. I've tried the diff playbooks etc, but it doesn't really matter when simming games. Just weird to me. 2. QUESTION: How do the coordinators "work with" the head coach? Do I want coordinators who match my head coach's styles? (If head coach is a "Spread" coach, do I want my OC to be "Spread" as well? Does it matter?) 3. I still like playing the game but it is def frustrating to me the lack of customizable stuff. (ex: recruit names, numbers, skin color) I cannot STAND having a CB named Shabazz Awesome (or whatever) and he is a 6'1" white kid with 98 speed.
-
This can be confusing, just to check....do you mean the Xbox Series S/X? There is also the older "Xbox One S" that this game WILL NOT work on. The Series S is plenty for this game. That is what I use and it is FAST. Can even play on my iPhone if I so choose.

Totally agree. Too bad it is so damn expensive. Maybe my taste is a little more expensive...haha. Love the look of some of the Black Rhino wheels.
-
Thought I'd join this convo. Bought this 2021 Tundra about a year ago and love it. Hoping to keep her for awhile. I creep on Tundras.com to see what upgrades other owners are doing to get some inspiration. I think my next upgrade will be a new head unit (y'all have any suggestions?). I also want to get away from the 20-inch wheels and go to 18-inch (i like the look better), just didn't do it this time around because of the cost.
-
Those lists are always....interesting. I am shocked at how many guys I have never heard of. haha. I guarantee if this list is redone at the end of the year it will have Ryan Wingo and Jaydon Blue on it. They are gonna be monsters this year.
-
I have spent a LOT of time playing Dynasty mode. Lots of issues but dammit, I am still loving it. haha. Big update came out yesterday which should help a lot of different things. I just keep thinking that the CFB revamped guys on the EA team won't let this thing suck...I just think they released it a LITTLE early to get it out before the season and they will continue to update it throughout the year. Either way, I have enjoyed it.
-
Def has flaws but I enjoy playing. I’ve started dynasties with UT Tyler and North Dakota and am loving it. Just got a 100 speed WR committed to my ND team. He will go nicely with my current 99 freshman and 97 senior. [emoji15][emoji15]

Few more things I really like since I have played it more: 1. I don't remember this in 14, but saving plays as "favorites" is awesome. I take 5 delay of games per game trying to find certain plays I like, so this is very helpful. 2. Position changes - it brings up a screen showing you each position and what the player's rating will be in order. Very helpful. Again, I think in 14 you had to just switch their position and THEN see what they are rated after they have moved. At least that is how I remember it, could be wrong. 3. I have started a few dynasties using random crappy teams, including my own teambuilder UT Tyler team. I am addicted to designing uniforms. 4. Recruiting takes time, I guess like in real life. My suggestion is to turn OFF auto recruiting. It sucks. But, recruiting manually does take time. I have successfully gotten 4-5 star recruits, granted, not many, to come to my 1-1.5-2 star teams. Just takes time. Things I still really want to change: 1. EA HAS to make editing recruits a thing. I cannot keep getting 5-star WHITE WRs/RBs who have 96 speed. 2. I am surprised the uniform offerings are so crappy. Granted, I have been using bad teams, but it just surprised there aren't more options. CFB Revamped was GREAT when it came to adding uniform options. Maybe more will come.

There is definitely a "sub" button but it is on the main formation screen. So in "Shotgun" you can sub, just not in the next screen when you select "shotgun". If that makes sense.

It's a fun game and it has taken up a lot of my free time the last few days, but yeah, there are some DEFINITE glitches. The game has quit on me a couple of times right as I am starting to play a game. SUCKS that you can't edit new recruits in dynasty mode. I don't want 3 white running backs, sorry. Nor should my deep threat WR be white. heh. For some of you saying stuff about throwing INTs or not having enough time to play action, look up the operation sports sliders for gameplay. It has made the game a lot more enjoyable for me. Some close games, some not. WAY fewer INTs and I actually have some time to throw on pass plays. not all the time and it definite depends who I am playing. I posted on the Video Game thread, but just search for those sliders on Google. I can't link it from my work computer because site is blocked. Since I messed with the sliders I have had a LOT more fun playing.

I think on the RPO the only options are handing it off or throwing the ball. I could be wrong. Do you mean how do you hand it off or how does the QB actually keep it? I don’t know if he can. But I don’t know for sure. As far as recruiting, it def can be hit or miss on certain guys but you definitely have to spend time on it if you are really after certain targets. I did “auto recruit” a few seasons and it kind of sucked. I don’t have a strategy other than “send the house” on my main targets, removing guys who get way out of reach (get those points back) and trying for other guys late. I’ve signed a few guys late in the season after not recruiting them the whole year. Also transfer portal guys. I’ve signed 2-3 per year that have been good quality. Ex: Earnest Greene at LT for one season. Not bad for lil ol Tyler State University. Hahaha. Oh, and I like the absurdity of some of the recruits. My son got a qb with 98 speed and 94 throwing arm as a true FR. crazy, but fun. I rarely play defense, usually only play offense. I will say, finding the right sliders helps make things more fun, for me any way. I want it to be challenging but realistic. After my team got better, playing crappy teams like New Mexico etc, my average win is like 40-21. If I’m playing a power five team my games are closer. I’ve lost a few since the D is all on their own. Side note: I love the Kansas and Okie state playbook when I’m tryin to balance out my offense. I’ve tried others but those standout. I’ve also read that the downloadable playbooks users make are not showing up in dynasty. I can confirm. Kinda sucks. Team builder is fun. Took me a little bit to figure out how to get online to create a team, but once I did, it’s awesome. Tyler State is the team I made and I think their uniforms are sweet.

I downloaded Delta and have had some fun playing Baseball Stars and Tecmo Super Bowl. You can find roms online that have updated Tecmo Bowl rosters. I downloaded the 2024 NFL rom and the 2023 college football rom. Pretty cool.

I've read that the sliders posted on Operation Sports (sorry, can't get working link on work iPad) are great at making the game a little "easier" or at least more realistic. I will try it out when I get home today. That being said, I have one dynasty going right now to just try out things. I went 10-4 in year two with Southern Miss, mainly because I got them to 8-2 before I skipped the last few games. I almost never play defense, just offense. That keeps the games from taking too long and keeps me from throwing my controller. Anyway, the game isn't perfect but dammit I love it. Been waiting a long time. Some things I really really like so far: PROS: - LOVE the graphics and the movement of the players. Looks GREAT. Forgot to say, I got rid of my original Xbox One and got a new gen just for this game. So, I am not used to these updated graphics. I played Madden some on the Xbox one, but not a lot. So my real experience in football games was years of playing on the PS3 and the last few years on CFB revamped. - The "little things" 1. The players on the sidelines help brace for impact when a player runs out of bounds. Maybe not every time, but it happens. Can't remember if coaches do too. - Little thing 2: They have updated the "hometown" list so it includes a LOT more towns. Love that I can put my hometown now. - Little thing 3: You can set pipelines and instead of "Texas" or "Iowa" they have other areas like "Metro Atlanta", "East Texas", and more. Very cool. - Little thing 4: Some of the pregame stuff is cool. In year two of my dynasty they referenced the matchup the year before. Surprised me. - The sounds on the game are VERY NICE. Makes me want to upgrade my sound system. I haven't paid too much attention to the play-by-play, but it sounds ok. I like that they have different crews depending on the game. - Recruiting is pretty challenging, especially when you are a one star or two star team. I like it though, makes it more challenging. The transfer portal thing is really cool too. CONS: - WHY THE F DID THEY CHANGE THE WAY YOU DO A READ OPTION!?!?! This is really throwing me off. Will take some time to learn. - Teambuilder is not on the game...yet. I hope it gets in there soon. - You cannot edit players/recruits in Dynasty. That really sucks. If I want a 300 lb running back with a fat belly, dammit, I want to be able to do it. - You can't edit real players in the main menu. Ex: I wanted to increase Jaydon Blue's sprint speed, couldn't do it. I switched a generic player to Alfred Collins but you can't edit their skin color. That kinda sucks. - I have thrown A LOT of INTS in gameplay. Granted, I am a throw-happy team but still. LIke I said earlier, playing with the sliders helps. - No other real gameplay complaints. - WHY DID THEY CHANGE THE READ OPTION!?!?!??!?! Ok, sorry.
-
WHY THE F DID THEY CHANGE THE READ OPTION BUTTON?! Holy hell this has me in a major funk. I’ve been a CFB revamped user for awhile so I never stopped playing. Muscle memory won’t let go
