  1. Agree. But the 2+ year projects concern me. We had higher starting points prior. OT especially worries me on our 2 deep. DT - those young men need to develop fast. I'm talking about 2024 and 2025 recruiting and what we have going forward. We're going to lose a lot on OL this year and those men were great. Just hoping we can continue that. I trust in Flood but am hoping we are giving him the raw starting points he needs. IDL, well Baker has a job imo. Skill areas - we are fine, we'll have plenty for Arch to work with. LB and CB/S should also be world class. Who's projected to be 2 deep on OT? Hell, who's starting at IDL next year? And yea just planning. Live in ATL so let's destroy GA (sister, bro-in-law went there, want the brag rights again). We get that bye to plan and really nothing else looks too daunting after a bye to plan.

  3. Valid question imo. We have been bringing in 2 year projects vs. the big class of Banks, etc. I'm concerned about OL and IDL. We've got Goosby - who did a great job and Baker on RT next year. Inside OL will be interesting - no Jake Majors for calls but I think we have that covered. Depth, big concerns. In the last 2 years, Baker is the only OL we've brought in that isn't a 2+ year project to get their bodies ready. Our OT depth is an issue for next year. DT - who knows. Portal help again. I'm not concerned about needing RB, CB, or WR in the portal. We need a real OT and a few DT for rotation and depth. I think a big OT from Oregon is in the portal. Could be wrong, but our OT depth for next year is shit. Same with DT.
  4. That is disturbing. I'm not good with Surly humor. Is this a valid thing? I hope not for kids, parents, etc.
  5. Maybe try Arch. Shit, I don't know but the defense is good (both). QE seems lost and confused.
  6. Only aggie would buy that and actually wear it. Easy fix though: Shrink that absurd SEC logo Place a burnt orange Longhorn logo to the left of the SEC logo Put champions to the right of shrunken logo Put a ghostbusters symbol over the defeated teams
  7. Something is seriously wrong with those people. aggie wonders why they are a laughing stock - look at yourselves. You really can't write a more delusional, cult based society. Just WOW.
  8. Who do they have that would be elite under our staff? There's 2-3 I look at. That's part of my point and thank you for the insight. Our current coaches go with need first, find the best talent that can be developed for such need, and do it. In btw we portal up. Who have they (aggie - yea new staff but it looks like regression and bread mostly in portal) developed lately? Slight pass here for Elko but he got more in defense than Sark did and they suck on rush defense with those guys ... wow. Offense, they suck - slow and low talent. If Napier pulls his head out of his ass and starts plays the young QB, he's going to destroy them. We went all in for Banks as a 4* and it's a look at me now commercial. We backed off Dewberry (sp?) got Flood's guys - developed and wow we are rolling on that. Other positions the same. I think the biggest this year is our secondary and replacing interior DL which all fit PK's scheme. We portaled good DL to help (hoping for at least one more flip on that). Great points, hey I was in the stands on Akers last game. Then 6.5 years for under and grad, I've felt the pain - do not want. We'll have a great but hard season. Aggie will not, OU will not. Arky scares me as a trap game. GA - shit, I live in ATL and have family that went there and Bama - damn I want that win.
  9. Naw, didn't blink, look at our EDGE position. He was a bit light imo too. Hey, I initially thought Richard Walton QB between James Brown and The Major and was thinking, oh hell, we wanted to lose him. Epic parties on 6th Street all bars playing James Brown songs after a win and $1 shots/beer/whatever. Lots of pregnant happened on those nights! But yea, a year more he might have been great (may have been academics) he was rangy and fast and thank you. Hook'em to Fondren & Main and all of you! Go Gators!
  10. Well, what we have now is working. Our players continuously improve, culture is great, and develop yearly. They want to be here and part of this team. We've replaced a few coaches in between but, wow, Sark is leading a great program in all areas. We pay NIL but we are not money whipping players to come. I'm guessing it's, can you get me anywhere near this number because I want to come here conversation. They want to be here and stay here for their future and to be part of UT football. In the past 2 years, how many portal guys did we lose that we really wanted to keep? I can't think of a single player from UT. What about aggie - 30, 40, more? Aggie, they're about 3 or so years ahead of schedule on figuring out they messed up again. They're mostly in that denial but some are realizing the facts. Unless you grew up in some backwoods shithole in Texas, none of their recruits want to be there. They can't develop on offense and defense is very subpar with elite talent. They'll replace a few coaches this round again. And once again wonder why they lose 25+ players to the portal. This could be the highest and best coaster crash ever. No name coach and mostly no name other coaches - great idea that's going to work next time - welcome back to trying to buy a team. Long term, they have gone full aggie and stepped on their dicks again. I'm talking decades types of issues (continue) ala FSU, go Jimbo. You will live on for decades at both schools. CTJ can probably expound on this idea better. He and Sydney seem to be plugged in.
  11. What's the difference between what you want in terms of size, ability, etc between a RT and LT? What defines a LT from a RT? I assumed Cam would shift to LT after Banks and Goosby/Baker would start at RT but apparently there is more to this.
  12. I'm tempted to start a 12th Man++ Fund and set my salary as I see fit. I've run multiple 200M+ PE companies with a fraction of that staff.
  13. GD even for a$m, how the hell on Addazio? Wait, Jimbo ... Petrino, Durkin, etc nvm - it's like Saban rebuilding coaches but with ones that have huge character flaws that can't be changed. That coaching tree is going to profit. I do like their defensive line (all 20 of them or so) but roster mgmt ouch. Kinda got to have other positions and some depth. We could witness another comical year for aggy. A few injuries (never happens) and wow, they are in trouble.
  14. Yea, I was living in IL then. Pain meds for cracked ribs so part is hazy. Good correction sir. Thank you.
  15. Never got to meet Rojo or Bijan in person - but yea, you get it. We've all seen pictures but IRL it's like holy shit that dude is a monster! The amount of work and training those elite backs/players do is crazy. They are total freaks of nature. It's like a 32" waist with 32" thighs and wearing a 46 suit coat. Takes a big dude to knock LBs on their asses like Rojo and Bijan did. Hell, how many knockout's did Ricky have with his thighs - I know the last was against a$m when he set the rushing record. Agree on the no waiting for Rojo and family policy - should be a state law!
  16. and the old's may remember - every big win the James Brown songs on 6th street with sand volleyball and $1 beers. And the co-eds ... damn. SEC or whatever, I'd put UT talent up as a winner. Probably the Miss schools as seconds.
  17. hey, olders - we had Priest at RB, Octavious Bishop on OL and I think we had another clerical name?
  18. And thank you all for the NIL help. Sounds like it's bags for aggy and we are way out front in real deals. It's disclosed and we use our NIL as intended. If any of you are in the market for a new car, I'd suggest contacting that Volks dealership to see if they can source what you want. I certainly will but the old M3 has some miles to give.
  19. Solid info @NoName . I was in school from '91 to '97 (under and grad). Crossed paths with Mackovic weekly. Always liked the guy and he'd stop to talk with me every time. He asked me to go to the Sun Bowl when Priest Holmes totally went off. I regret not making that trip but I was there in the Alamo Bowl when he called that 4th down tight end pass and the last second field goal. If you guys haven't met a great RB in real life - wow - you wouldn't believe the size of their thighs. Ricky and Priest - jeez. Ricky couldn't find jeans to fit him - had to get a huge waist and have a ton taken in on it - just to fit his thighs. Priest was built the same.
  20. On the NIL topic, has aggy ever disclosed a deal? I've seen multiple articles about UT with cars, grocery products, video games, etc. I realize it's not the university putting these in place, but with no disclosure the entire concept of marketing NIL goes away. Hell, I'm contacting that Volks dealer to source my next car. That dealership did some solid NIL work for us.
  21. I have to believe the Luccidites are some 16-30 types with no real degrees. Their conspiracy theories, to self delusional fantasies they propagate on us and us controlling the media are beyond crazy. Sark may not be our perfect coach, neither was Mack. Sark is filling my wish list on recruits, now he needs to get a 10 win season. He's in year 3 (not year 5 of Jimbo's failure). If Petrino brings anything to that team it will be some semblance of roster management. I think they will improve on offense, not much. Petrino is a hell of a lot better on leading a team than Jimbo. Maybe it works for them? There has to be a more rational fan base for them, maybe not ... thinking back to my visits to that hellhole for games. I've never seen anything as delusional as the Luccidites. Honestly, it's worth a book on comparing them to how Hitler owned Germany.
  22. Aggy NIL for local candy store. They are getting closer to figuring it out.
  23. Solid insight, thank you. Goes with most of what I guessed. Davis, Flood, Banks, and PK/Choate really seem to be the keys to me. It has really hurt us shifting DC's (entire staffs) every few years. Y2 under PK - Ford and others really progressed. Y3 for Ford should be a treat to watch. Learning and recruiting towards a specific system is huge imo. Hoping we retain the nucleus of this staff for years. @texifornia, I'll give you I forgot LT but anyone screaming that Dalton is memorable or anything but maybe approaching average is crazy. His career QBR etc shows average to below average. Yes, he somehow got a few pro bowls early in his career with a 50ish QBR. Outside the state of Texas and I bet 50% or more in the state of Texas, TCU is a complete unknown geographically or for anything to most sports fans. UT, USC - different story. Davey O'Brien? Yep, he went to TCU spent most of his career as a back-up until his senior year (a good year). Spent 2 years iirc in the NFL all sometime in the late 1930's. A foundation awards a trophy with his name on it. Puts TCU on the map ... totally. Maybe Duggan will. I'm not against the school, it's probably a decent college. But a talented football athlete that can choose between UT, USC, TCU - there's one in that list that doesn't belong. But you do you and proclaim the TCU might and that people even know where it is (they don't), their huge NFL HOF list and roster of players, etc. They don't belong in the same conversation as UT or USC for football by any known metric. I did think Milwee had some type of OC/co-OC title for pay reasons, my bad on that.
  24. I thought Milwee was OC or Co-OC? And I get that Sark is our real OC. I know it's a positive sign to have coaches recruited away, but I hope we hold this staff for years. Very solid staff.
