  1. And I can guarantee you he had that game circled and worked on us during camp and most of fall. An added benefit to SEC, we are now just the biggest target on our conference opponents' schedule 3x per year instead of 9x like we were in the Big 12.
  2. They tried to get Pregnon (sp?) last year but Oregon beat us.
  3. I quit worrying about recruiting a couple years ago. Sark is a killer with regular and portal recruiting. Outside of a couple minor strategic errors (zero reason not to get a portal punter last year and we should have grabbed a swing tackle backup this year), he builds a fantastic roster. It is always fun to watch the June freakouts before he makes his big moves later in the summer.
  4. That is not it with Quinn. We have had plenty of players that have the same politics. Including legends like Colt and Shipley that everyone loves. Quinn was a very highly rated QB who too many times was one of the worst starting players on offense. That's the issue with him.
  5. Sometimes being a freshman AA as a linemen just means you were on a bad team and played a lot. Do not think that is the case here. But it is a reasonable question. Our D line is very likely going to be a strength this year. Which 6 months ago looked doubtful.
  6. Maybe OU can get him an extra year of eligibility out of the deal. Like they did with Dusty. Or a redshirt year like Mixon.
  7. If anything, Derka understated the NFL talent Ewers played with. He couldn’t have known about Golden, Cam Williams, Helm, Sanders, and Blue. Not to mention late round guys like Majors and Connor. We were absolutely stacked. Far cry from 2009 where Colt played with what, a fourth round WR (who was a college badass)? By drafted talent, Ewers had a much better supporting cast than Vince. Bijan, Brooks, Roschon, Blue, Golden, Mitchell, Worthy, Whittington, Sanders, Helm, Banks, Williams, Christian Jones, Majors, Connor, DJ Campbell versus Cedric, Jamaal, Sweed, Pittman, Scaife, Thomas, Blalock, Studdard, Sendlein, Scott, Allen.
  8. Derka was right. Showed the receipts and embarrassed a few clowns. And people don’t like that.
  9. It totally does not bother him. It's why he brough it up. Because he does not care.
  10. Yeah. That’s all Quandre Diggs did. Other than make a couple all big 12 teams, three pro bowls, and made over $50 million in the nfl.
  11. He played like an average college qb once he got nicked up each year. Offense would go into a coma far too often with walking wounded Quinn. He played like a good college qb when healthy. That just wasn’t very often. I wasn’t surprised by his draft position. He needed to be healthy all season for once and play well all season.
  12. Texas Tech should win an outright conference title at least once in last 70 years. Prove me wrong.
  13. For Tek, it wasn’t that bad. No way he remembers after Quandre Diggs turned him into rubble
  14. I just don’t see this incredible arm. Looks average to me.
  15. Yep. Typical Tech gets a narrow upset at home and then pisses down their leg against OU. Even when we sucked bad we’d still manage to beat those dipshits most of the time.
  16. Am I missing something with Nuss? Pedestrian qb rating and yards per attempt in three years of playing. Not a good TD to INT ratio. LSU has had a lot of wr talent. He seems like a JAG with a lot of physical tools.
  17. Been in Whitefish all summer. I was at Glacier twice a week. Did some epic hikes in the park. Fly fished a couple times a week. Played golf a couple times a week. Swam in lakes almost every day. Hiked all over. Spent two weeks in Aspen doing the same kind of stuff. I’d rather let one of the grizzlies I saw eat me than go to Disney.
  18. Not really. Basketball upsets happen. And it helped us get rid of a bad coach. I'd be worried if my current coach presided over that game against ACU.
  19. I just cannot get over letting Abilene Christian University hang 50 on you in a game they damn near lost.
  20. If Guilbeau just gets a piece of that WR on the Barron INT, it's a (near) walk off pick 6 to win the SEC title game.
  21. At the Little Nell in Aspen watching Field of Dreams under the stars on the lawn tonight. A bear showed up about 100 yards up the hill under the Gondola.
  22. They have some decent units and some decent players. But laughable depth. Any injuries at OL, QB, WR, the DB Lee, and they are cooked. They look like an 8-4 team to me at best.
