  1. I disagree Israel is ethnically cleansing Gaza. They turned it over to them 15+ years ago. And would be glad to live in peace with their neighbors just like they do with Egypt and Jordan. But their neighbors don't believe Israel has a right to exist. And have repeatedly attacked them. And then invaded Israel on October 7. It is terrible Hamas makes such poor decisions. Oh well, less tall buildings for them to toss gays off of now. Jews were ethnically cleansed from the Middle East and North Africa. There is no dispute about that.
  2. No need to project your racist worldview on others. I will block you now and move on.
  3. Jews were ethnically cleansed from the Middle East and North Africa over the last 100 years. Weird how so few people or entities like the UN complained about that.
  4. It was all about the venue. The DA should have filed the case in Santa Monica judicial district instead of downtown Los Angeles. That is all that mattered in this case. Everyone knew he did it. The jury just did not care.
  5. What to do? Sleep when done. That would be exhausting. Best fishing day I ever had we caught three swords at day break and then went three for nine on blue marlin during the day out near Nansen and Boomvang in the Gulf. There were 3 of us fishing and we were dead tired when done. I cannot imagine 45 billfish.
  6. I am heading to South Texas Friday for Spring Turkey. As for mountain lions, they have to be rare in South Texas. I have hunted for 40 years and never seen one. The guy who flies our ranch for surveys has piloted helicopters for 25 years in South Texas and has never seen one. We did have a confirmed track around 20 years ago per the TPWD biologist who came out and inspected. It was next to a fawn that the lion had covered up with grass. None on any game cameras ever.
  7. Was in Port Mansfield last week and weekend for a tournament. It was really nice Thursday. Windy on Friday. And really windy on tournament day. We caught a lot of fish, but not the right size to win anything. I love fishing down there. Fished two artificials. Gulp white shrimp under a popping cork. And a topwater. Redfish were killing the topwaters in the flats.
  8. Bregman is an above average player. Nothing more. He just killed us that inning.
  9. No. I was not just asking questions. I was responding to someone who was proposing a parent should automatically go to jail in the event their kid uses a gun they provided to hurt someone. That is called responding to someone else's hot take. Not "just asking questions".
  10. No. Here was the original exchange: So strict liability? In other words, I questioned whether there should be strict liability in response to someone who says you should be prosecuted if you buy your kid a gun and they turn around and kill someone with it. It was about that scenario -- literally just giving a kid access to a gun and nothing else.
  11. Nope. Been rear ended/bumped at slow speeds now twice in the last year. Both times my hitch saved me a lot of hassle. And just damaged the person who hit me. Watch where you're walking.
  12. I pretty much stick to chicken these days. So chicken. I think they are $45 for a pound of fajitas plus all the sides, rice, beans, chips and salsa. Escalante's on Westheimer is so close to my house, so we go a lot. The last couple times I had beef fajitas at the El Tiempo on Richmond, which was our spot, it tasted like they did not let the lighter fluid burn off before they threw the meat on. It pains me to say that, because it was our staple after church lunch for about a decade. When my kids were little it was so convenient. The service was always lightning fast and the food was good. Maybe I need to go back. For me, Los Tios is a place to get cheese enchiladas. I had their grilled quail recently and it was outstanding. Their food is not the same as what I grew up on since Adair acquired them, they had added higher end ingredients. 20 years ago you would never order fajitas from there. Their Super Mex bowl is also good if you want something healthy. Candente is also pretty good. Have been there a couple times now. Mi Cocina is fine. I do like their chips and salsa. OG Ninfa's and the one on San Felipe are still strong. I still love Pappasitos. But for some reason my wife does not. So we never go. I used to love El Real cheese enchiladas. They were probably the best in the city of the places I frequented.
  13. We go to Los Tios now also. And Escalante's chicken fajitas are a carryout staple. I can feed the four of us and have leftovers for around $40.
  14. We used to go to the El Tiempo on Richmond probably 2 times a month for Sunday lunch. I have not been there in at least 5 years. Too expensive and the food went downhill. The beef fajitas the last couple times I went tasted like lighter fluid.
  15. Needed a last minute reservation on Easter. Went to Hudson House on West Gray. Was just average.
  16. Just got a place there. Going to be up there from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Going to be a big change from the Roaring Fork Valley. But I am so looking forward to it. Really loved skiing there for first time over Spring Break. My house is on a manmade water ski lake in between Kalispell and Whitefish. Going to spend a lot of the summer on that lake, Flathead Lake, and Whitefish Lake. Montana is beautiful. And the people I have met so far, our neighbors, are awesome. I am done spending summers in Texas.
  17. Altuve is maybe the dumbest base runner I’ve ever seen. He combines shitty instinct with having his head up his ass.
  18. What is the best app for tracking your ski activity?
  19. Pinkerton’s opening up #3. Going to be at old 59 Diner location on Shepherd.
  20. If you only live in the city, I get it. But if you live in a rural area or have a ranch/hunting lease, the equation is much different. Getting a plumber, mechanic, or electrician to come out from 25 or so miles from Pearsall or Cotulla is expensive and you may not get them. You have to know or learn how to do a lot of stuff if you do not live in the city. Youtube makes this so much easier.
  21. Please do not perpetuate this Aggie nonsense here. The SWC had scholarship limits starting in 1965. And Texas was not even signing the biggest classes in that era or stacking tons of talent. It was mostly coaching, scheme, and very good S&C under Medina.
