  1. If we punished everyone in the media who published or repeated false information to influence the election, we would have no media left.
  2. I once was following at night a truck with a ranch hand bumper and grill guard and he smoked a doe. Never even touched his brakes.
  3. I have about 5-10 more pounds to lose. I want to add a scoop of creatine to my morning protein shake. Will that slow down weight loss? Or will it help it by aiding in resistance training/muscle growth?
  4. 99 percent of the problem with public education is that way too many parents are indifferent and do not value education or raise their kids to act right.
  5. Loved her in Mr. Mom.
  6. Tiny Boxwoods is my favorite place to grab breakfast.
  7. We should have separate threads for every stupid thing a middle school teacher or admin in this state says.
  8. Would it be too much trouble to post your program? I am looking to get into a more disciplined weight lifting regimen. Been doing a lot of different free weight, dumb bells, and body weight stuff the last few months. But more of an ad hoc and not structured program. Thanks-
  9. I break it up. Walk the dog a couple miles at 5 am in morning. Protein shake. Then row/lift. Jog 4x a week during lunch break. Have a stand up desk and walking pad. Usually do a couple miles on incline while taking breaks to lift in evening. Walk the dog a mile or two before bed. It is so broken up I barely notice it. I am on my walking pad right now at work. Also, having a home gym with weights, rowing machine and treadmill helps a lot. Saves me so much time.
  10. Yes. I have been on a program a buddy of mine who runs ultra suggested (it is for marathons). Been doing it for a couple months.
  11. I do a lot of stair climbing at work. Also do squats. I need to add more leg workouts.
  12. Was 198 this morning. Have not seen a 100s in awhile. Going to keep hitting it hard until I can get to 185 and maintenance. Should be there by Thanksgiving. Running a marathon in February makes me want to be as light as possible.
  13. Good post. But I am pretty sure Cullota killed Jerry Lisner with the half loads. And then dumped him in the pool. This was revealed in one of Cullota's books and on his podcast.
  14. I read Wolf Creek is opening. Place always gets a lot of snow.
  15. I like McElroy. I think losing Williams is a concern because of depth and he's really good and physical against the run. But I don't think he's anywhere close to our best safety in coverage. I think Gerry H pointed out that Texas has pretty big advantage in coaching this game. UGA has lost a lot of really good coaches and has replaced them with people who are not as good. Many are guys whose strengths were dropping bags and not developing/coaching. The coaching disparity has not really been discussed much.
  16. 6'2" and 200 pounds. I decided six months ago to get back in really good shape and run a marathon in Austin in February. Since May I have been jogging 3-5 miles 4x a week, lifting weights, rowing, doing push ups, and about 50-70 flights of stairs during the weekdays at office. I want to get rid of some stubborn belly fat and sit around 185, which is what I weighed most of my adult life before I got out of shape a few years ago when my brother died unexpectedly. Lower than 185 and I look like I have AIDs. Resistance training is what has really helped. When I started in June, I could rep 5 push ups. Now I can rep 50. I have also averaged 25k steps a day between jogging and walking since May. Starting longer jogs now. Realized if I keep my heart rate around 150, I can jog all day. Eating around 180 grams of protein a day, a lot of veggies, few carbs and almost no processed foods. I feel better than I have in a decade. So much of fitness is diet. I quit drinking a few years ago and that helped a lot. I drink water and black coffee now. Most people drink too many calories. I did. And it's largely what got me out of shape. I never really ate that poorly.
  17. I was yelling at the tv "don't fumble" a second before he fumbled. Fumbles are not uncommon when you have two defenders closing in from you on each side.
  18. Plenty of bright people live in the Southeastern USA. But none post on SEC Rant. It's horrible.
  19. Same. Was at a Champs Sports bar in Dallas watching the Astros. We got drunk again and watched the entire game. Finally made it back to Houston on Monday. Oh to be in my 20s again.
  20. 48 and never heard of Spoon.
