  1. When will this myth ever die? No they wouldn't have. Their defense was protected by playing in the SEC in an era with basic run, run, pass options. They would have lost multiple games in the Big 12 against spread teams. See how La Tech put 57 on them running the spread. They won that game by two points. That would have been a regular occurrence in the Big 12. Also, SEC defenses were not set up to stop or used to playing spread offenses like A&M. They had big fatties on the D line and linebackers who were too big. The addition of the spread eventually caused the SEC to adjust their defenses. Also, if not in the SEC then Alabama has no losses. And there is zero chance an A&M team that started off unranked would pass up undefeated Alabama and undefeated Notre Dame for a BCS title shot even if, by some miracle, they went undefeated.
  2. Definitely true. And while I have my doubts about him as a QB, he is clearly a smart man with a very bright future.
  3. The family ate the tile fish last night. First time I had it. It was so good.
  4. Went offshore over the weekend out of Freeport -- to the floater rigs Boomvang and Nansen. Caught a couple tile fish. Cooking those fillets up tonight. Also caught and released a really nice Sailfish. And a mess of blackfin tuna, which honestly eats similar to yellowfin IMO as sashimi. Other fish caught were rainbow runners and barrel fish. Ate some of the rainbow runner as sashimi for lunch today. It was delicious. Seas were very comfy. And the boat we were in got us out there really fast -- a lot different than the 38 foot cat hull I am used to fishing out of (which is comfortable, but slow).
  5. about half of Carr's sacks were his fault. He held the ball too long and had terrible pocket presence. Sacks were cut in half the year immobile Schaub replaced Carr.
  6. It was 1998
  7. I am 6'2" 205 and the XL slim Poncho fits perfect. Regular cut is a little big on me.
  8. No it is not. They were beaten to death with hands and feet in a basement somewhere. They were not buried alive.
  9. I was in Montana almost all of the summer. I probably have 200 plus pounds of Elk and Axis. I thought for sure I would lose it all and have a mess to deal with. Everyone in our neighborhood except for my little cul de sac lost power for a week or more. We never did.
  10. I like all four mountains.
  11. Booked Whitefish for week during New Years and Spring Break for entire family. Just got back from spending summer there. Only cure to sadness of returning to Houston was to book a couple trips. Also going to ski Aspen during February with just couples. Probably stay 4 nights. Lyle Lovett is playing Belly Up, and we bought tickets
  12. Amen. Red leaving was a positive. He was a JAG. Wisner is much better.
  13. Elko is a slob just like Brauny
  14. That is the build and physical deterioration of a heavy drinker.
  15. Their 2012 defense also did poorly against the handful of spread offenses they played. I think it was Ole Miss and La Tech only in regular season. La Tech hung 57 on them with 615 yards and 37 first downs. The SEC was mostly run, run, pass out of a pro style back then and much easier to defend. They would have lost as many or more games in the Big 12 given the matchups they would have had both offensively and defensively were worse fits. See the La Tech game they won by two points.
  16. Isn't the center they got to transfer from Utah supposed to be a decent player? Their OL will be a mess regardless. But I think their center is decent.
  17. If only we could get the geniuses who do such a wonderful job running our big American cities to run our small towns the small towns would do really well. It would be paradise.
  18. 19. Some damn good hunting around Munday/Weinert/Rule. Some of the best waterfowl hunting I've ever done. Good for dove and Sandhill Crane also. And surprisingly good deer country.
  20. You can’t even deny your active participation in hateful rhetoric that leads to violence. So at worst I’ve allegedly stayed silent on other’s hateful rhetoric? And your proof is a lack of posts on a politics board I haven’t posted on in years? Before all or most of those incidents. In your sick, twisted mind you somehow think it’s a gotcha on me. Seek help.
  21. You actively participate in hateful rhetoric that leads to violence. Just like you accuse trump of doing. You and trump are morally equivalent. He lacks your sanctimoniousness.
  22. You directly participate, and gleefully revel, in hateful rhetoric that leads to violence. It’s this whole piece of shit board. Where most regular posters should be committed to a mental institution and never let out. Radicalized nuts. The lot of you.
